From New York Times Bestseller, Mimi Jean Pamfiloff, Comes Book Three of the Ohellno Series, DIGGING A HOLE. (Standalone.)HE’S THE MEANEST BOSS EVER.SHE’S THE SWEET SHY INTERN.THEY’RE ABOUT TO WRECK EACH OTHER CRAZY.My name is Sydney Lucas. I am smart, deathly shy, and one-hundred percent determined to make my own way in the world. Which is why I jumped at the chance to intern for Mr. Nick … jumped at the chance to intern for Mr. Nick Brooks despite his reputation. After ten failed interviews at other companies, he was the only one offering. Plus, everyone says he knows his stuff and surely a man as stunningly handsome as him can’t be “the devil incarnate,” right? Wrong.
Oh…that man. That freakin’ man has got to go! I’ve been on the job one week, and he’s insulted my mother, wardrobe shamed me, and managed to make me cry. Twice. Underneath that stone-cold, beautiful face is the evilest human being ever.
But I’m not going to quit. Oh no. For once in my life, I’ve got to make a stand. Only every time I open my mouth, I can’t quite seem to muster the courage. Perhaps my revenge needs to come in another form: destroying him quietly.
Because I’ve got a secret. I’m not really just an intern, and Sydney Lucas isn’t my real name.

Another great read from Ms. Pamfiloff. I love how her books just glue you to your seat as you anxiously await the end. Personally, this was by far one of my favorite books by this author as its about an introvert (like me!). Georgie goes undercover in her family’s business as she is uber shy. I loved the character building and Georgie’s growth as well as her interactions with Sam. Very entertaining and a great fast read. Recommended!
Mimi Jean’s Walton family has put the ‘dys’ in functional. And what a very dysfunctional family they are. The story is funny with plenty of quirkiness between family and the businesses they operate. I enjoyed the banter and the subterfuge employed by everyone, and how all the plots come together. This one of the funniest contemporary romances I’ve read in awhile.
Sydney aka, Georgie Walton, Lucas is used to being in the shadows, she is comfortable in her shy bubble that she has built around herself but needing to go undercover as an intern for her families company. She has her reasons and when she begins to work under Nick Brooks she knows she is out of her element. Nick is the devil incarnate, she wants to run in the other direction but Georgie ends up finding her spine and going head to head with Nick. She doesn’t expect to fall for the man though. What happens when all is revealed though?
This was delightful. I thought the whole story pulled you in and I definitely need to go back and read the rest of the books in the series because clearly a lot more to the story about this family. I enjoyed this quite a bit and I would think I had it figured out only to be surprised. Several laugh out loud moments.
This is the third in the series. I loved it. But I didn’t LOVE it like I did the 2 earlier books in the series. I’ll read the 4th though. I really enjoy this author.
This is Book 3 in the Oh Hell No series that just gets better and better. Sydney Lucas and Nick Brooks are quite the pair. Her shyness and his A Hole ways create some pretty spectacular laughs, off the charts chemistry, and some seriously tugged heartstrings. The main characters are not who or what they seem – or are they? The twists in this one were amazing. I could not put this one down.
Enjoyed the book.
Love this series and the author, highly recommend for a wonderful entertaining read
I liked the chapters. Georgie and Nick had great banter and chemistry. There are surprises in the story.
Love all Mimi Jean Pamfiloff books
I was highly anticipating the third in this series, since I had quickly devoured the first two. Mimi Jean’s keyboard must be sprinkled with crack and her writing is addictive; I can’t get enough of it. Her characters are always funny and the plot lines are always ridiculous in a way you wouldn’t think would work…but it does.
Digging a Hole starts off with some hate between our main characters, Sydney and Nick. I loved their snips and sassy quips. This lasts the first half or so of the book, and you are rewarded with some satisfying insults. At the half way mark, the story goes whoa and it felt like a roller coaster of emotions from there on. Literally a whirlwind of obsessive reading came next.
I was thoroughly sucked in and couldn’t put it down. I stayed up past my bedtime (a true sign of book obsession, let me tell you) and finished it in one attempt.
Looking forward to more by Mimi Jean Pamfiloff!
I love everything Mimi Jean writes. Her books are some of my favorites. They are funny and drag you in and next thing you know you’ve read the whole thing in one sitting
I didn’t mind this story, the love declarations seemed to come out of nowhere but I didn’t mind the overall story
I love the OHellNo series! Digging A Hole has just become my new favorite of the series!
I absolutely love Georgie! She is such a breath of fresh air! I love that she was so sheltered and scared and that she had the strenght to come out of her shell. And she came out swinging! She is one of the most empowering heroines that I’ve read and I just completely adore her.
A fanatic book in a fantastic series
A wonderful rom-com with a dash of suspense and intrigue
Digging A Hole is a laugh out loud, fast paced, crazy ride of a romantic comedy. It is Mimi Jean Pamfiloff at her best and I loved every single moment I spent reading this. I loved the previous book, Oh, Henry , and whilst this gives resolution to Henry’s unanswered questions at the end of that book, this one can easily be read as a standalone.
Sydney/Georgie is excruciatingly shy, to the point of hiding behind potted plants at parties, vomiting on the shoes of people interviewing her and generally being unable to speak to strangers. Particularly very attractive strangers like her new boss. Her very hot, sexy and mean boss.
This book is written entirely from Georgie’s point of view, and what a very amusing and slightly mad point of view it is. Normally I prefer dual pov, and was just lamenting that this book didn’t include the hero’s pov when BAM!, the author hit us with one heck of an unexpected plot twist. I floved it!
There is so much I want to tell you about the hero and heroine of this book. What crazy things happened to them and what battles they had to face, but I simply can’t without spoiling the read. Instead I’m going to focus on just how much I loved Georgie, despite being incredibly shy she was still had an inner steel core. Her thoughts and actions had me crying with laughter at times. The hero (ahem trying to avoid spoilers here) is such a complex individual, yet his true actions showed what an incredible guy he was.
For many reasons this is quite a slow-burn story, but with everything else that is going on it can never be called slow. There are layers upon layers in this book and every new reveal had me amazed and astounded at the intricate pattern they wove.
There was absolutely nothing to criticise in this book, it held my attention from start to finish and was quite simply a first class read. It has a couple of fairly mild bedroom scenes and a smattering of bad language, so is a book I would happily recommend to family, friends and anyone looking for a really good book to read.
I could not believe the twist and turns in this book. This book was well written and the characters were amazing.
I loved this book! Fantastic characters who played will with and off each other. Twists that will keep you on the edge of your seat. You won’t be able to put this book down. A must read.
loved it !!!!!
Enjoyed how Sydney and Nick overcame their own hangups and developed a relationship.
My favorite book in this series! I love the chemistry between Georgie and Nick, oh so hot and hilarious! There’s a point in the story where it becomes a bit serious, but it doesn’t bring the story down in any capacity, it merely enhances the overall tone. I will say that there are a few surprises within this story, especially when we learn what Georgie’s hiding and who Nick Brooks really is.
Assuming the name of Sidney Lucas, Geogie decides to apply for an intern job at the company her family owns. Yes, she is trying to hide in plain sight and hoping no one will recognize her. You see, she is very shy and has a problem talking to strangers. She has also decided that it is high time for her to face her fears and so she decides that applying and getting a job will help her defeat this phobia.
Her new boss is the most a-hole human being in the world. It takes her days to be able to talk to him. But everyone has a limit, right? And of course, revenge is sweetest served cold.
Be prepared for the twists and turns of this plotline. It is funny, entertaining, and an absolute delight as a Summer read. There are thrilling moments and if you are cheering for our shy girl, you will find she is stronger than anyone ever imagined.
I am voluntarily reviewing this book. Thanks to the author for sharing a copy with me.
