~Devon~I fell in love with Ireena Monroe, and then she fell in love with my identical twin brother. It ripped us apart, and we haven’t spoken since. My childhood friend, Claudia Tamasy, is the only one who fully understands what’s happened to me, and unfortunately, she also is the only one to witness my reaction to it all. Her dad opens a branch of his business near Silver Springs and we end up … we end up working there together. Friends, co-workers… lovers? No, we can’t be. It’s too odd and weird and it would ruin the honesty we share in every other way. The last thing that will ever distract me is a relationship. Fool me once… well, I watched the girl I loved marry my brother. No, hell no, will I ever be fooled again.
Until my brother calls me with devastating news about Ireena and Claudia tries to make me see I have to go help him. But how can I forgive him? And what can I do as Claudia is the only one who can help me get through this?
But by then… what if I’ve already ruined everything?

I enjoyed reading Devon’s book from this series. It was an easy read and a hard to put down. It helped that I read the book “The Remaining Sister” from, “The Sisters Series.” Devon was wrote in the same depth and detail as every other book I’ve read by Leanne Davis. After everything Devon experienced from deception, hurt, being lost and finding true love. It left me excited to see if Devon’s twin will find his second chance at love and his FOREVER. I can’t wait to read the rest of this series from this amazing author.
Devon (The Sons Series Book 3) by Leanne Davis has everything that you could want in a book – love, betrayal, heartbreak, hope, friendship, family and a little bit of steam. I love that Leanne’s books are intertwined and you get to keep reading about characters from other series, but at the same time, each one could be read as a stand alone. This book is about Devon and how he lost himself and his family from an event that included his brother and girlfriend. This is about Devon coming to terms with his anger, letting it go, and moving on. It also is about him finding himself again due to several tragic events. One was his fault and the other no one could have predicted. Does Devon lose Claudia (his best friend and cheerleader) over him not being capable of feeling anything? Leanne never lets me down with her books. Each one teaches you a life lesson or talks about a subject that is not normally discussed. I am looking forward to reading book 4 about Damion, and getting his side of the story as well. Kudos to you Ms. Davis for another great book that kept me riveted while reading Devon’s story.
Oh, my goodness! Not sure how this series can get any better. Each book gives me a new book boyfriend and Devon is no exception. I really didn’t care for the person he became after Ireena’s betrayal, but we all become different people when the ones we love break your heart. Claudia, what can I say, she is perfect? I think we all have a little Claudia in each of us. She has fallen in love with her best friend and is trying so hard to help him come back from hitting rock bottom. But I love how she decides to fight for herself and letting those she cares about the most, go.
My emotions, once again, were all over the place with Devon. I encourage you to begin the series and fall in love with each of these men in your way.
In the beginning I really wasn’t too sure on this story. But as this author has never disappointed me, I read it even though I hadn’t read the first two in the Sons series. Thing I like about Ms. Davis’s books is that even as each story is part of a series, the stories are strong enough to read as a standalone. I will more than likely go back and read the first two, however, because I enjoy following the interwoven stories of the books in their series. Many of the characters are met in other stories in her library of crazy good books.
In this story, Devon is struggling to come to terms with a painful heartbreak. It has torn his world apart when his girlfriend and his identical twin brother drop a bombshell they had an affair that results in a baby. This news causes a major rift in his family. He virtually disinherits his brother and the cheating girlfriend then becomes some kind of reckless devil may care playboy. His best friend Claudia is the only one who gets him. She has loved him beyond the dynamics of a simple friendship. One night, he will test the boundaries of that friendship that has stood the test of time since they were children.
A tragedy will test the family’s bond and the resulting epiphanies will change the course of his whole life. Their entire family will never be the same. Devon must find the courage to embark on a new reality. Will Claudia be a part of that new reality?
Love this series and author. Another great story. Devon and Claudias story does not disappoint. Making Devon open his eyes to how he was becoming. Devon learning he truly loved claudia. Beautiful story.
Life is hard enough to navigate but when you are the recipient of betrayal your thoughts become jaded. This is not the Devon that everyone knew and loved. He was never this withdrawn and emotionless. He has pulled himself from everyone and put his focus on his career and living his life with almost not emotions, except the hatred that he just can’t seem to get past. He is missing out on so many things. Thankfully he has is best friend and co-worker Claudia, she is the only thing that seem right in his world.
Claudia is a beautiful business woman who had worked very hard to put herself in the high ranks of the family business, that most would say is a mans job. With her family love and support she has taken it all on and loves her career. It certainly helps that her best friend Devon is working along beside her. If she could just find the strength and words to let him know that she wants more. The love that has grown for him over the years is very strong, which makes it extremely hard to watch him boil with anger and hatred.
The biggest fear with friends to lovers is the possible loss of the relationship that you once had. Is it possible that Devon has the same feelings that Claudia has? Will the one step across the line be too much for them? Could the new tragedy bring them back together in a way they never expected?
This was an emotional read on many levels. Devon’s journey through betrayal to forgiveness. Claudia’s hidden love and trying to move beyond what she can’t seem to have.
This was about letting go and discovering someone has your back no matter the cost. This friends-to-lovers had its share of heartbreak and heartache. Betrayal isn’t easy coming from those you love most. It shows in this case that time can start to heal wounds, but sometimes life trumps hurt.
This is book 3 in the Son series by Leanne Davis. Man these books keep getting better and better. I love how we get to see how everyone in her series evolves. This book has twist and turns, betrayal and love. Devon is going through betrayal from his brother and girlfriend. We get to see how he handles it and then fines love. Great read.
Wow, just wow!!
This book has all the things you want in a book! Heartbreak, betrayal, and a love so strong it’ll crush you!

But don’t count them out yet,, these two are meant for each other, two halves of one soul!

I can’t wait to Read the next book!!!

You want to put one broken man who does not want to forgive, on the right track of easy going man he was once, than you need to meet Devon. Broken by betrayal, stranded from family and twin brother, he has yet to find a way to be his old self.
I love this book, and you are going to love it too, it has wonderfully strong characters, strong story line and what an end….
Waiting for new one in series to come. Definitely worth waiting….
I liked this story, and I loved seeing Devon grow into a wonderful man. My only issue with this book was that we spent so much time in Devon’s and Claudia’s heads, going over the past and their feelings over and over. I started skimming pages when one of them was thinking, because it was so repetitive. Other than that, I loved the story and thought this was a great read.
Devon Willapana’s life turned upside down when he discovered that his girlfriend, Ireena, cheated on him with his twin brother Damion and ended up pregnant. He vows to never let another woman get close enough to him again so his heart never goes through that kind of betrayal again so he prefers to have one night stands where he may not even remember the woman’s name.
Claudia Tamasy works with Devon at Tamasy Industries and has always had a crush on him since they were kids growing up. She was actually the one that introduced Devon and Ireena and hates how much Devon has changed since Ireena betrayed him. She wants more than anything for Devon to turn his life around her and to see her as more than just a friend.
When Claudia helps Devon one night when he was drunk one thing leads to another and now both must live with the consequences. Unfortunately Claudia knows she must break free from the grip that Devon has on her and begin a new life for herself.
When Damion calls Devon when he is faced with devastating news will Devon be there for his brother and can Claudia help him see what he needs to do. Can Devon show Claudia that he is ready to change or is he too late?
This was such a great book filled with heartache and many tears!!
I liked Devon but at the same time he was so rooted in the past with the betrayal that he refused to move on with his own life and heal. I understood why it hurt so bad as he was betrayed by his twin but he let his anger consume his life and it turned him into someone that he wasn’t.
I loved Claudia and I hated that she had been “friended” by Devon. He never gave her a chance or really figured out how much she really cared about him. She was so dedicated to their friendship and was always there for him when he needed someone. It broke my heart when she got her heart broken by Devon and I really gave her credit for saying everything to him about how she felt and her realizing that it was time for her to live her own life instead of living for him.
I liked that she was slowly able to move on and found happiness with Cooper but I knew she still had so many feelings for Devon because of their past yet she really gave Cooper a chance.
The phone call from Damion broke my heart and although I was mad at Ireena, I had tears down my face as everything happened. My heart shattered for Dayshia and Damion and I was so happy that Devon was able to put things behind him and be there for Damion. From this point on things were totally different as everyone knew how precious life was and each coped with everything a different way.
I was happy that Devon finally figured out what Claudia meant to him but I was sad when she said they needed more space. I loved that Devon really figured out what he wanted from life at this point and made some drastic moves that were so good and I was so happy for him I understood why Claudia was mad at him and thought he was being selfish.
The end was awesome and I loved how everything turned out!! I am excited for Damion’s book next as I know that there will be more of Devon and Claudia!
I liked this book better than Wyatt, but I love Leanne’s books. Having trouble with a family member is hard to write about and even harder is forgiving. Devon is the hero but the intertwining that Leanne does with her characters makes you feel like you know them. Love them all. The bond is broke between the twins, but he has his best friend Claudia to help him through everything. The book made me feel for the characters. Good work, Leanne.
Awesome read as always Leanne books are amazing
Another absolutely amazing book by author Leanne Davis. She never disappoints and this book was no exception.i think this book is the best in the series this far. I cannot fathom how her books just keep getting better and better. I have never read a book by this author that I have not fallen head over heels in love with. Fantastic book and highly recommended.
Devon and Claudia’s story is about heartache and betrayal, also healing and forgiveness. Devon was betrayed by his twin and Claudia was hurt by Devon.
Childhood friend with a crush sticks by his side through the worst of betrayal from his two . She’s his driving force to reconnect and forgive. A single night changes it all. I didn’t know if I should like Devin or slap him. Kept it kind of interesting
Just another reason that Leanne Davis is one of my favorite one-click authors. I’ve loved her since the Sister Series, I’ve read every thing she’s written, and she keeps getting better.
I love the Son Series…Getting to know Devon, understanding him, rooting for him and watching him mature was a beautiful thing. You never know which way she’ll go, but I guarantee it’s an emotional journey worth traveling.
I can’t wait for the next, and the next, and the next…
This series gets better with each new book. This third entry is full of all the emotions and drama that make a story great and the reader turning the pages to see what comes next. Eagerly waiting for the next one.
This series keeps improving with each book. It’s a bit difficult to like Devon a lot at the start of this story, but by the end of the story he’s a wonderful character that deserves all that comes his way. His dramatic growth and life changes are incredible to follow. I can’t wait to read the next installation of this series.
