Desperate to escape her scheming relatives, Evangeline Jenner has sought the help of the most infamous scoundrel in London.
A marriage of convenience is the only solution.
No one would have ever paired the shy, stammering wallflower with the sinfully handsome viscount. It quickly becomes clear, however, that Evie is a … becomes clear, however, that Evie is a woman of hidden strength—and Sebastian desires her more than any woman he’s ever known.
Determined to win her husband’s elusive heart, Evie dares to strike a bargain with the devil: If Sebastian can stay celibate for three months, she will allow him into her bed.

I enjoyed this whole series very much
I love her connected series!! Her characters engage us and make us root for them-so much fun!
Lisa Kleypas is one of my go to authors for a vacation read or just an escape for a day book!
Fabulous characters and great love story.
I fell in love with Sebastian, too!
Another wonderful story by Eloisa James, one of my very favorite authors. I read this one in paperback, but look forward to reading new releases on my Kindle.
Despite starting out with rather unassuming and possibly unattractive characters, the story becomes more and more interesting. Two unlikely characters become rather endearing and their romance anticipated.
Even after re-reading the series, this is still my fave.
“Devil in Winter” tells the story of the third maid of the wallflower girls, Evangeline “Evie” Jenner, and Lord Sebastian St. Vincent. As you may have noticed, each book is set in a different season. It is finally Winter in London, and Evie Jenner, the shyest and detached of the group, …
Wonderful book. I love the Wallflower series. I’m very delighted that it was Evie who stole St. Vincent’s heart. Great book.
Anything she writes is wonderful. Favorite author.
There is little more to say about Lisa Kleypas’ The Devil in Winter, that hasn’t already been said by other reviewers. This will be one I will come back to again to reread. Sebastian, one of the most debauched, amoral, and degenerate seducers, is accepted by Evie Jenner, a wallflower as well as the daughter of a notorious gambling hall owner. He …
One of my all-time favourites <3
Love the series
The wallflower series is fantastic. It’s one of my favorites of Kleypas’ work. Four unique young women – all wallflowers for different reasons, all coming from different backgrounds and wanting different things in a husband. Why not team up to find each other love, marriage, and friendship? It’s a beautiful story line and each girl is a different …
A fun read with likeable characters. Strong heroine and a hero that goes from a selfish rake to a stand up guy. One of my favorites.
I’ve read all the this author’s historical romance books. This is one of my top 5 favorite by any author. The hero is a villain in the previous book in the series, and it’s wonderful to follow his unintended trip to partial redemption. The heroine is an overlooked jewel, who seems to see that true character of her husband before he himself is even …
This is a favorite of mine. I re read it each year
Love this book so much I’ve read it multiple times. My favorite of the Wallflower series and probably of all Ms. Kleypas’s works. Can’t wait to read about the next generation in the Ravenal series.
Lisa is a great author, she never fails to deliver!
I love this entire series!! The characters are “real” and the story lines are just a it unusual.
