Totally different love story
My favorite book ever! I have read it over and over!
This book is not my favorite of the series but it is still a great book. I love the hero and adore how protective he became. Was really hoping to see him paired with daisy but I still really enjoyed it
Her best book.
I enjoyed this book so much. I really like Ms. Kleypas’ writing.
Interesting main characters, witty AND interesting secondary characters made it a real page turner and twist on the ‘reformed rake’ story. Highly recommend.
2nd read: 2020
1st read : many years ago
This story was just like the previous two stories in the ‘Wallflowers’ series a wonderful read! I loved every moment of it! I’m so glad that I decided to re-read this historical romance series.
This story is about Evangeline (or Evie) Jenner, she is the shyest and the quietest of the four wallflowers. …
Love, love, love this book and any books from this author.
It was amazing to see the bad guy from the last book in the series fall into this one and through love become redeemed. I thought it hilarious how Lord St Vincent describes how all the ladies make use of him and chase him…such a twist of the beauty being the man this time. One could just envision Evangeline as caretaker to her father Ivo Jenner …
Page turner
I’ve got a chance to revisit one of my favorite books of all time, Devil in Winter by Lisa Kleypas. This is the 3rd book in the Wallflowers series, and my most favorite ! I remember reading it for the first time and was so absorbed in it that I didn’t want it to end! Now rereading Evie and Sebastian’s love story makes me fall in love with them …
My absolute favorite Kleypas!
My Thoughts:
Evie has been my favorite wallflower, so I have been most excited for her story. She is strong, and resilient, yet painfully shy and quiet. Evie is a great friend, and is always there to offer compassion, caring, and a shoulder to lean on, whenever Annabelle, Lillian, or Daisy need her. She has a slight stutter, that get’s worse …
Loved it! Now reading the series.
Probably my favorite in the series.
I have read this twice in less than one year, I can’t put it down – isolation or no isolation. I can bits and pieces of woman in our heroine.
Thank you Lisa for writing this one!!!
Love this writer. Live the series.
This is a book you can reread on a rainy day and is still great.
One of my favorites! I go back to it time and again. The love that grows and STAYS between the main characters is one longed for by any true romantic.
I love all this authors books. Always a great story and great characters
