Sadie doesn’t know she’s special—or that she could die at any moment. Only one green-eyed boy knows the truth, and he would do anything to keep her safe, even if it means betraying everything he holds dear.“If this series goes as hot as we think it is, it will be better than Twilight! Each time the boy appears, Sadie’s unexplainable attraction to him deepens along with her need to unravel his secrets. The boy is there to protect her, but as wonderful and exciting as it might be to have an irresistible boy with crystal green eyes protecting her every move, every minute of the day…why does Sadie need one? As Sadie finds answers, she realizes her life isn’t as perfect as she thought. Not only is she caught in a world of dangerous secret agents she never knew existed, but it turns out her true identity may be the greatest secret of all.

Rayne is a water keeper. Water keepers heal people using healing water, and he is assigned to Sadie. Obviously, he develops feelings for her, but challenges arise when Sadie is caught in a world of dangerous secret agents she never knew existed and her true identity and family may be more secretive than she ever imagined.
To me this book was dull. I had a hard time picking it up and finishing it. I’m having a hard time writing what I actually liked about the book. I liked Sadie and Rayne. Heather and Josh got on my nerves with the high school drama. Maybe I would have liked the book more if I had read it at a younger age.
An original fantasy that provides just enough story while leaving more for a series. Reading it is like a dose of healing water for a boring day.
Poor writing, and story.
Story was OK. It took me a little to get into it. I found a few places where words were missing. It got better towards the end.
I loved Rayne.
Not my cup of tea, I just couldn’t get into the work that was being built
It’s hard to review this book without revealing too much of the plot, but this is the first in a series of very good Y/A books it focuses on a teen living a perfect teen life until she discovers that she isn’t exactly who she thinks she is.
I really liked the charachters, but the story felt so open ended. I could predict most of the “twists” I did like the story theme, intent. And the highschool drama was pretty true to form.
Very simple, couldn’t maintain my interest
I loved it! So many twists and turns! Five stars… Hands down.
Can’t wait to read the next one in the series, a definite page Turner!!
