A deliciously romantic tale…After receiving a collection of dark and romantic monstrous tales from her dearest Dorin, Clementine pens a ghostly story for him in return, which begs the question, can love truly conquer anything?Perfect for fans of Mexican Gothic and The Others. Dearest Dorin is the highly-anticipated companion novelette to Dearest Clementine: Dark and Romantic Monstrous Tales.
The old-fashioned art of letter writing has made a come-back! In this short story, Clementine replies to Dorin, sharing a dark, romantic ghostly tale with him. In the first book in this series, Dorin wrote letters to Clementine while trying to find her… now it’s her turn, and she reveals the devil of a tale! Ouija boards? Connecting with the other side? Cate shows Deacon how it’s done, and while this isn’t directly about Dorin and Clementine, the love story might be quite emblematic of it. Can Cate trust Deacon? Who’s playing whom here? When the board shares the name Cate doesn’t expect to see, the fright takes stage! Definitely a fun read and shows of Candace Robinson’s writing chops. Kudos! And I must ask… what is this secretly telling us about Clementine and Dorin? I can’t wait to see how many the author writes in this series.
I’m loving this series
After Clementine saved herself in Dearest Clementine, she wrote a letter to Dorin with a story of her own & this one is my favorite of the entire series…
It’s a story about a ghost hunter Cate. She gets a letter to banish ghosts out of the mansion. When she arrives she is greater by the handsome owner and gets to work right away. What she discovers is a lot more than she bargained for.
The ending is heartbreaking and perfect at the same time. It’s one of those stories, that is on my mind since I read it. I keep wondering how it all ended and if there was ever HEA for them.
The writing is sooo good, I couldn’t tear my eyes ways form it, the story is captivating, intense, and full of twist and turns. Also, the cover is so pretty
Highly recommend the entire series!

Let start off first I got the chance to read ebook arc of this companion novel. In return for my honest thoughts and review. Just like the other book. This is written in letter format with a creepy story after. But these are letters from Clementine to Dorin. These two books are my favorite and I will be rereading them both during halloween. Highly recommend these two books. This one just like the first is a short but full of goodness inside.
Dearest Dorin is an exceptional short story with the feel of classic gothic horror. Candace Robinson weaves suspense, romance, and horror beautifully. I would love to see this turned into a full length novel. Just wait for the twist you never see coming.
I loved book one in the Letters series, Dearest Clementine. In fact I just got the paperback! So when I went to read Dearest Dorin, I thought there was no way it could be as good. I was sooo wrong!!! Robinson writes Horror Romance the way it should be written!!! We don’t see enough in this genre, and I for one would LOVE to see more!!! I CAN’T WAIT to see what is in store for Dorin & Clementine, and to read more stories they tell in letters to each other!!! This is a short story that pulls you right in, the atmosphere is so creepy and the characters are completely engaging!! I sucked this down in no time at all!!!
I loved this companion to the Dearest Clementine collection of short stories. Clementine’s story for Dorin was full of twists and turns. I love me a good paranormal investigation story, and this one had everything. I would so love for this to become a full-length novel!
***I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary ARC of this book.***
