BOOK REVIEW : DARK SIGHT (BOOK 1 A DARK SIGHT NOVEL) By T. G. AYER
Really Well Written, Original and Imaginative 4.5On its Way to a 5 Series!
The world grieves as the last of the line of Pythia, an oracle with foresight, dies in the face of an impending doom
This is the first book of T.G. Ayer’s I have read, but it certainly will not be the last!
Set in present day, but in a world of Ancient Rome too. Imaginative, original and well researched. I loved everything about this book, from first seeing the cover and just knowing I had to read it, to the original world they live in, the mythology, to the main and supporting characters, the way the talk, to the fast past action and adventure and to the way the two main characters support & play off each other.
This sure was one wild ride that kept me glued to my screen and flipping those pages! I can’t wait to get my hands on book two, at least we don’t have to wait for that!
Up against an epidemic set to bring about the end of mankind, with one young woman standing in its way. Can the new, untrained, unguided Pythia save herself let alone all of mankind? Can Allegra, Max and their team fight In a race against time and of a villain of pure evil, Will the new Pythia “site” her way out of this horror and save us all?
I read an advanced reader’s copy of this book & this is my fair & impartial honest review.

I have been provided with a copy of Dark Sight by the author for an impartial review. This is the first book in the brand new series Daughter of the Pythia and what a great introduction into this world. I loved reading this book it was so easy to read and it just sucked me into the world of gods and oracles and it didn’t want to release me. This book has so much going for it. It has characters that you just can’t get enough of and the story was amazing. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
I love this & I can’t wait for more.
I will be also leaving a review on Goodreads @ Amazon.
And letting everyone know about it.
So i gave it a 5 Stars.
Curious when I entered into this one I was met with a bit of different. With Allegra taking me in I soon discover this is a adventure that will keep me hopping. What is thought is not what it is which keeps a readers interest. Also trying to not be used is another matter that keeps you into this. Then there is Maximus who will also draw your attention. As the two intertwine you are carried away in this not coming up for air too often. Ahh though I must venture into the next one to find out more answers.
Allegra is as pigheaded as ever. But that is what makes her such an interesting character to me. And Athena is nearly as cantankerous as well. Good tear-jerker material included. Delightful spot of humor. I wonder what follows.
I loved this book! What a fantastic read! How could you go wrong when you have mystery, passion, plot twists? Throw in Greek mythology, and you cannot put this one down!! I can’t wait to read book 2!!
Wow, I have read from the begining of the books to the end. What great characters strong and courageous. I feel sad that the series has ended but I know T.G. Ayers will have more exciting stories to be read and I for one would not miss any of them.
Dark Sight is Book One in this series. I enjoyed the story very much. Allegra is a very relatable female lead. She develops the power to see into the future and is tasked with saving the word using this new skill. I was a bit confused by the world this book is set in and would have liked a little more description into it especially this being Book 1. I love the story line and the supporting characters in the story. The Author does a great job of describing everything that Allegra is going through during this journey. I look forward to reading Book 2. T.G. Ayer will continue to be a 1-click Author to me.
A dark and addicting read!
Chapter 1 – an interesting and good start to a new book/series.
Three months left until the human race is extinct. Three months to race against time and save humanity. Three months to find a cure. And along the way, the seer has to survive against the dark forces conspiring against her.
From the first chapter, I was hooked. Such a marvellous, haunting and intriguing read! Such a great start to a new series.
Full of visions, seers, gods, suspense, mistrust, loyalty, deception and a hint of romance.
Perfect for readers of paranormal romance/mythology/alternative history.
This book was brilliant! It is steeped in Greek & Roman Mythology/History. Seems to be set in nearly modern times with a twist. There has been considerable research put into this book and the writing is eloquent. I have a large vocabulary from many, many books read & a general love of language but even I had to Google a couple to be sure I understood.
I fell in love with the cast of Characters, Alleges, Max, Denis, Corina, Flavius, even Pepper! I was sad to lose some of the cast to events in the books. I look forward to revisiting the characters to see them grow.
I hope there will be others in this series! [I received this book free as an ARC with hopes I would write an honest review.]
