The title was appropriately applicable to Mama Peach and the storyline. This book was filled with many twists and turns that may require the reader to keep some notes. This was a good read over all along with a few laughs built in.

Toilet Humor & Regional Stereotypes Don’t Work for Me
Lord, have mercy! Having read a number of Wendy Meadows’ books in other series, I was not quite prepared for my first read in this series, Sweet Peach Bakery. I was put off immediately in the first scene where the main character, Mama Peaches, is exclaiming over her difficulties on the toilet. Really, an attempt at toilet humor? Are we 8 years old? Things didn’t get much better when Mama Peaches came out of the bathroom. Then she showed herself to be a horrendous Southern woman stereotype. Frankly, while I consider myself to be neither a southerner nor a Yankee (as I am from the Pacific Northwest), I do think that northern writers should not create such cartoonish southern caricatures—and ultimately insulting characters—for a region of the country they are not from. When not written by someone from that area, it comes across as prejudicial and cruel. I imagine that some southern readers could very easily take offense at the lead character and of some things that take place in the book. While I will definitely keep reading Wendy Meadows’ other series, this would be the last of my ones to read about the adventures of Mama Peaches.
I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.

Having too much money isn’t always a good thing
Stolen money that’s gone missing, everyone looking for it wants to kill everyone else looking for it and nobody can be trusted. Momma Peaches is on the scene to save the day in her own wacky way! Get ready for a wild ride!
Mama Peach and her team are called to help a man she despised as a young woman, a former suitor. She does not understand why he would send his daughter for her to help prove his innocence in murdering his new wife. Crass as always in her language she still agrees to help – for the daughter’s sake.
The story involves a lot of intrigue, cold suspense and a lot of genteel foul talk from Mama Peach.
It is that, mostly that made me decide on 3 stars. The story itself is good, but for me the language was off-putting. A little can be fun, but this was too much for me.

Between the laughs at Momma Peach, this is a story that will keep you amused and your attention on the who done the crime.

Mamma Peach has a knack for murder and mayhem. Someone from her past reached put and caused more drama than she could have imagined. Mamma Peach, Michelle and Sam quickly found themselves in the middle of a very dangerous situation not knowing who was out to harm them. Eventually they solved the mystery but it was a very tense situation.

I love Momma Peach and all of the characters in this series. In this one, Michelle, Momma Peach and Sam go to a ranch in northern Georgia to help out someone that Momma Peach knew in her youth. He’s accused of murdering his wife and his daughter doesn’t believe he did it but he doesn’t really seem interested in finding out who did it. When they get there, there is a major storm that takes out the bridge that is the only way in and out. So Michelle says that they all need to stay in the same room as there are intruders in the mansion. They end up splitting up in order to catch the real killer and find out who is trying to kill them. Momma Peach and Sam find the “treasure” and now everyone wants to get it. They do end up victorious.

This was the first book in this series that I had read, so I did not know what to expect going in. There were some parts that really dragged out a bit to me and some of the bathroom humor could have been toned back a bit (again the scenes dragged out longer than they needed to). There were a couple of obvious things that I felt were oddly missed considering how experienced the group was in solving crimes. But the book did have its humorous parts, and the case itself was interesting and easier to get into later in the book.

Mama Peach in in trouble again. An old friend (well more of an old pain in her …) asked for her help. Will she be able to help Wilbur or will she kill him with her purse? This series is funny and very entertaining. Mama Peach has a big heart and will help anyone in trouble, even those she dislikes. Are Mama Peach, Michelle and Sam in danger? Will they find the killer or killers? Read today and find out while you laugh your way through the story.
Momma Peach is looking to relax, not get involved in another murder. However, when the daughter of an old acquaintance (DO not call him a friend!) shows up looking for help to clear her dad of a murder charge, Momma cannot resist. So she heads out to North Georgia with Michelle and Sam in tow. Danger surrounds them and they must act quickly to find the murdered and get out. This is a good, clean, fast read with great characters, both new and old.

We have another wonderful story starring Momma Peach, who is a delightful and hilarious character the reader will love! And if she loves you back, she will do anything in the world for you, right from the heart! This time an old “friend” sends his daughter to her for help. Since his wife has been killed, he becomes the primary suspect and he is afraid he might be blamed for it. In the process, he decides that he wants to marry her – but Momma Peach knows how to handle those kinds of situations!
Rather quickly, Momma Peach, Michelle and Sam find themselves in the middle of a dangerous situation until they can find out who was out to harm them. Will Momma Peach become lost in the cursed manor? Or will she, Michelle, and Sam track down and capture multiple killers who are up to no good?
This was a cute cozy mystery with likable characters and a story line that flows well and keeps you entertained as you try to figure out the mystery.
