NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • Janet Evanovich, bestselling author of the Stephanie Plum series, teams up with Emmy-winning writer Phoef Sutton for a brand-new series of mysteries featuring Emerson Knight and Riley Moon, a dynamic duo with instant and undeniable chemistry. Emerson Knight is introverted, eccentric, and has little to no sense of social etiquette. Good thing he’s also brilliant, rich, … he’s also brilliant, rich, and (some people might say) handsome, or he’d probably be homeless. Riley Moon has just graduated from Harvard Business and Harvard Law. Her aggressive Texas spitfire attitude has helped her land her dream job as a junior analyst with mega-bank Blane-Grunwald. At least Riley Moon thought it was her dream job, until she is given her first assignment: babysitting Emerson Knight.
What starts off as an inquiry about missing bank funds in the Knight account leads to inquiries about a missing man, missing gold, and a life-and-death race across the country. Through the streets of Washington, D.C., and down into the underground vault of the Federal Reserve in New York City, an evil plan is exposed. A plan so sinister that only a megalomaniac could think it up, and only the unlikely duo of the irrepressibly charming Emerson Knight and the tenacious Riley Moon can stop it.

Enjoyed this one. Listened to it on audio & the narrator did a great job
Great new series in true Janet Evanovich style. The character’s personalities are interesting, strange and funny all at the same time. Looking forward to reading the second book in this series.
Good read–not as funny as some of her other books but still a good book
Light hearted fun read!
This was a fun book and Evinovich always creates quirky characters that I’d like to actually hang out with. I’ve read most her novels (Stephanie Plum series are always a fun quick read), but this book had new characters and one wonders how she invents such fun and quirky and somewhat believable scenarios. I’d certainly recommend it for fun escapism read!
Like all evanovitch books, excellent
I was interested in this new series by Janet Evanovich because I love her Stephanie Plum series. Unfortunately it just wasn’t the same caliber. The plot was interesting (but not really plausible). It held my attention enough to keep reading, and I mostly liked the characters. I did think Emerson was not a believable character – rich, out of touch with reality, eccentric, but extremely smart and well connected. Nothing seemed to phase him even when he was in extreme danger multiple times. With his eccentricities and Riley’s practical side, I was hoping for some real humor and laugh out loud moments – not there. This was not a bad read, just not up to her usual standard. I would say if you just want an easy, middle of the road mystery, then here you go.
It’s not realistic if that is what you are looking for. It’s funny because one of the main characters is very quirky. I literally laughed out loud quite a few times. I’m about to read the 2nd book.
Party for the course, Jane’s books are very entertaining,
A fun read from a reliable author.
Anything she writes,I read
Another great series from Janet Evanovich!
Laughed out loud! Great new characters.
I’m a long time fan of Janet E. and Stephenie Plum. I believe the first book in that series was the first book I read, that literally made me laugh out loud. I don’t mean a little chuckle either. I mean a full on laugh. So I had pretty high expectations of this book. While it was entertaining and occasionally made me chuckle, it didn’t draw me in enough to stay up late to finish it, or spend all day reading it. It was a quick, easy, pleasant read. Definitely no worth a reread.
Easy reading and fun.
I like this series because the author keeps me entertained and interested.
Great story. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
True to her style, Janet Evanovich develops great characters with a fun story line. Looking forward to where thieves characters take us!
plot hard to follow, not her best book
Always enjoyed the Janet Evanovich books I have read. They are entertaining and adventurous. This one did not disappoint.
