NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • Janet Evanovich, bestselling author of the Stephanie Plum series, teams up with Emmy-winning writer Phoef Sutton for a brand-new series of mysteries featuring Emerson Knight and Riley Moon, a dynamic duo with instant and undeniable chemistry. Emerson Knight is introverted, eccentric, and has little to no sense of social etiquette. Good thing he’s also brilliant, rich, … he’s also brilliant, rich, and (some people might say) handsome, or he’d probably be homeless. Riley Moon has just graduated from Harvard Business and Harvard Law. Her aggressive Texas spitfire attitude has helped her land her dream job as a junior analyst with mega-bank Blane-Grunwald. At least Riley Moon thought it was her dream job, until she is given her first assignment: babysitting Emerson Knight.
What starts off as an inquiry about missing bank funds in the Knight account leads to inquiries about a missing man, missing gold, and a life-and-death race across the country. Through the streets of Washington, D.C., and down into the underground vault of the Federal Reserve in New York City, an evil plan is exposed. A plan so sinister that only a megalomaniac could think it up, and only the unlikely duo of the irrepressibly charming Emerson Knight and the tenacious Riley Moon can stop it.

Just finished reading the first in a new series by Janet Evanovich. The main character, Emmerson is definitely a very eccentric person and never bats an eye at any of the mischief he seems to get into. Can’t wait for the second book to come out to find out what the next adventure might be.
What a fun read! I really enjoyed this new series. The characters are quirky and fun. Love all the DC and Virginia references. Can’t wait to read more adventures of Knight and Moon!
My current read is the latest from Janet Evanovich. I’m a big fan of hers and this one is not disappointing. Plenty of laugh out loud moments and more of her signature interesting characters! On sale August 16th!
Riley Moon a Harvard graduate teams up with eccentric billionaire Emerson Knight to find his missing gold in a very fun read.
Cute fun entertaining mystery in true Evanovich style. Excellent narration by Lorelei King.
Great series!
Another great set of characters and stories from Janet Evanovich!
Crap on a cracker it was wet your pants from laughing funny !!!! Emerson was Sheldon Cooper (big bang theory), Patrick Jane (the mentalist) and Sherlock Holmes (elementary) all rolled into one and Riley was every woman who has ever dealt with them. I had a dickins of a time putting it down and going to bed cause I got so caught up in the action. The touch of romance was nice and it makes me anxious to get to reading the next book.
This was a fun book with an over the top mystery about world domination through controlling the gold. Riley and Emerson were great characters; one down to earth, the other utterly eccentric. It wasn’t quite as laugh out loud funny as some/most Evanovich books, but it was entertaining to the end.
A very Witty and funny series. Easy read with the most hilarious situations. You can’t go wrong with this series if your looking for a fun quick read.
Another great series.
A great start for another Evanovich series. Loved both main characters and really want to know more about them. The story seemed more complex than some Plum books and, while I enjoyed them a lot, this is more interesting.
This is by the author of the Stephanie Plum books.
Another mystery with an eccentric male character and a spunky female character.
Good read and as entertaining as ever
I love all her books!
Love janet Evanovich books it was really good.
A new series by Janet Evanovich and Phoef Sutton. I had high expectations because I have loved both the Stephanie Plum and Fox and O’Hare series and was a little disappointed. I liked the 2 main characters, Riley Moon and Emerson Knight, but found that they wore on me as the story progressed. Overall a good story with some funny parts, but some of the things that happened were too unbelievable, which detracted from the story for me. I will give the next book in this series a chance and see if my opinion improves.
I received a complimentary copy of this ebook from the publisher through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
I enjoyed the beginning of this series because Riley is a resourceful woman. A few twists make this a very interesting book.
So I am a big Janet Evanovich fan. I have read almost all her books. This one is like the title “Curious Mind” it makes me curious as to what will happen next when the series continues. I love the banter between Riley and Emerson. It is funny and witty. The curious part is will there be more spark between them in the upcoming books. I would like to see more of it. You can tell the Riley and Emerson have a spark but it is hard to tell when he is joking or serious and it is comical. This book is different from other books she has written and co written. It is a similar storyline in the way of Riley and Emerson being thrown together to work in the begining, kinda like Kate and Nick in the Kate OHare series. I love reading Emerson’s way of thinking and the silly things that come out of his mouth. I think Vernon is interested in Riley but won’t make a move because he thinks Emerson likes her. I love the way his mind works as he is solving the mystery. Looking forward to seeing what will happen next.
I actually listened to an unabridged version of this book and while it was good I think I might have enjoyed it more just reading it. I found myself distracted by the readers “different voices” and I generally don’t. I’m not sure if it was the reader or if Evanovich’s books don’t really lend themselves to being listened to. I’m going to actually “read” the second in this series just to see if I enjoy it more that way.
I always love Janet Evanovich characters! Fun easy read.
