Real-life flight attendant Heather Poole has written a charming and funny insider’s account of life and work in the not-always-friendly skies. Cruising Attitude is a Coffee, Tea, or Me? for the 21st century, as the author parlays her fifteen years of flight experience into a delightful account of crazy airline passengers and crew drama, of overcrowded crashpads in “Crew Gardens” Queens and … Gardens” Queens and finding love at 35,000 feet. The popular author of “Galley Gossip,” a weekly column for AOL’s award-winning travel website Gadling.com, Poole not only shares great stories, but also explains the ins and outs of flying, as seen from the flight attendant’s jump seat.

I liked it, but felt it wasn’t exciting
My daughter is a flight attendant for a major airline. After 26 years, she is still not considered a senior mama. This book really rang true in so many ways. I remember when my daughter became so frustrated by a demanding Spanish speaking first class female passenger who kept demanding attention as the flight attendants were trying to get everyone settled to take off. Finally my daughter, in her best Ricky Ricardo knock off, answered, “I’ll be more than happy to bring your champ-ane in a moment!” My kid is the ultimate professional, so I really doubled over picturing this. The terms were real and no doubt the experiences were too. My guess is that she works for United Airlines.
Boring!!!! I quit halfway through.
It walked me down memory lane!.
I loved this book – well-written, full of insider information, witty, and real – and especially because I was part of the airline scene back when flying was still fun. Oh, the memories! She made me feel nostalgic and appreciative of being part of that exhausting, exciting, often-crazy world.
