It’s not easy to impress a Dalton girl… and sexy KC Cohen, the mortgage company billionaire who sees her as something more than a cowgirl.
Knox Channing Cohen has achieved his goal—to build his own billion-dollar business from the ground up and without the help of his wealthy family. He’s also managed to break free of his cowboy origins and strike out on his own, far away from the prestigious ranch he grew up on. But when he receives word of his father’s death, he’s back in the saddle… the last place he wants to be.
Kizzy is dragged along as Knox’s assistant to help him deal with the family business. When she learns he’s not only loaded but a damn cowboy too, she can’t be more blindsided. Now she can see all the carved muscle on the man might not be from hitting the gym so much as hard work. Knox wants to sell out the ranch, but seeing the dark-haired, blue-eyed beauty at home around horses has him second-guessing his beliefs about the country… and wondering if he can remind her that she’s a cowgirl at heart.

Loved reading Kizzy’s story as the last female Dalton. It was funny how she ran from the cowboy life and ended up getting the hots for another cowboy, albeit in the most unlikely place. It was sweet, sexy, funny, and just what I needed.

Seeing so much of themselves in the other, it is hard to tell if they are pushing away from each other because they are running away from themselves or they are running towards what they think they want.

I have been waiting for this book and I was not disappointed. Cowgirl Heart is wonderful. Kizzy and Knox are meant for each other. I love the fact there was more to them then what they could see. I was captivated.
“Cowgirl Heart” (The Dalton Boys Book 12) by Em Petrova is a terrific read. I loved Kizzy and Knox’s story. This is a wonderful addition to the series, packed with hot cowboys, romance, passion, family, interesting and entertaining characters, humor, and more. I’m sad this is the last of the Texas Dalton’s, but looking forward to meeting more the Dalton cousins in the future. Highly recommend to all fans of romance, hot cowboys, family, and series.
I didn’t like Knox at first. He used women and left them crying after he was done with them. Kizzy was more than an executive assistant. She was his office manager helping keep his company in line and his employees happy. I saw a more human size to Knox when he went back to his family’s ranch after his father died. She didn’t want a cowboy, but he was definitely one, just not the struggling financially wanting her to be a housewife marriage prospect she expected if she’d stayed with her family. This was a steamy western romance.
This is the last book in this series. It is kizzys story. She leaves the ranch and heads to the city but when her bosss dad dies they returned to his home ranch. Will this reminder help them both

Kizzy has always had big dreams of escaping Paradise Valley. Not that she doesn’t love her family, but she just doesn’t want to marry a cowboy. She’s searching for something bigger for her life. Armed with a business degree, she heads to her new job in Houston, where she’s the assistant to a big-shot mortgage broker. After yet another hookup mistake, KC is swearing off women and whiskey. So why can’t he get his mind off Kizzy? When his father dies, he heads home to the ranch he left years ago, to settle up his father’s affairs. Uncle John is insistent that KC come home to run the ranch. But he’s up to something, and Kizzy aims to find out what. Is KC gonna go run the mortgage company, or stay and be a cowboy? Can Kizzy love a cowboy? This is just a terrific book. Kizzy and KC work so well together, professionally of course, but when it moves to personal, they begin to sizzle. I love how smart and strong she’s portrayed, her intuition is just spot-on, and she knows what he needs before he can say it. This is the first book from this series for me (I know, I know, I picked it up at the end), but I love her family, big, loving, supportive. I also just began reading books from this author, and she’s becoming a must-read for me.

This is the first book in the series I’ve read and I loved the story and chapters. Kizzy is sick of her family pushing her to get married to any tom, dick or Harry so she moves away and becomes assistant to a billionaire. What she doesn’t realize is he is from the country too until tragedy strikes and they have to go to his family ranch. Will she realize she’s a country cowgirl at heart?

Kezziah (Kizzy) Dalton left the ranching life behind to become the personal assistant to KC Cohen, self-made billionaire mortgage broker. What she didn’t know is that Knox Channing (KC) is actually the son of the owner of the Amazing Grace Ranch, a millionaire horse and cattle operation. She stumbles upon this information when she fields a call from KC’s uncle John Cohen notifying him that his father has died. Without question, KC asks Kizzy to join him while he goes to the ranch to take care of its affairs. Kizzy becomes even more the eyes and ears that KC needs. And an attraction that has been slowly brewing since she went to work for him comes to the forefront. The characters were so well written and the story was so believable. And the HEA will leave the reader with a smile on their face.

Kizzy leaves home for the big city to work for KC as his assistant. Over time she becomes his right hand anticipating his every need in the office. She is well liked and respect by KC, who relies on her to keep things running smoothly. When his father dies unexpectedly, KC reveals his full identity and asks Kizzy to go home with him to settle family affairs. While at the ranch she rediscovers her love of country living and they both discover that they really mean more to each other than originally thought. It is a poignant story reminding us that our roots are important.
A well written perfectly paced story pulling you in from the start. I have loved reading this series about the Dalton family. This one about Kizzy and her striking out from her family but still being close. Then what she finds out about working in the big city with KC as her boss. I had a great time reading this series.
I liked Kizzy and KC’s story. Kizzy and KC were both strong characters that had great chemistry. The story was well-written, well paced with an interesting storyline that had lots of drama, emotions, and past issues to overcome. A fantastic read that kept me turning the pages from beginning to end.

Kizzy and Knox’s story was an absolute fantastic way to end a damn good series! Kizzy’s such an amazing strong character that definitely meets her match when it comes to Knox! She never would have dreamed she was about to run smack dab into the very thing she had ran from, a hot hunky cowboy! Who’d a thought!
Knox thought he had his life planned out until a tragedy brings him back to the family’s ranch…he never dreamed then that his life was about to change.
It’s an awesome intriguing very addictive story that has the sweetest hottest HEA ever! I love Em Petrova’s books and this is definitely one of my favorites! I recommend this book and entire series to anyone!
Cowgirl Heart is the twelfth book in the Dalton Boys series, but can be read as a stand alone!
Kizzy knew that ranching wasn’t meant for her, so she went to the city to become a PA for a billionaire. When Knox’s father passes away, she goes back with him to his family’s ranch to help, but both are seeing sides of the other and can’t seem to resist one another. Will Kizzy learn to follow her head or her heart?
What a great story! I loved getting to know Kizzy more and what makes her tick and what makes her finally fall for a cowboy of her own! Kizzy and Knox’s story has plenty of tension, lots of swoon-worthy kisses, and I loved that there was more than just a battle of their own selves that had me turning pages! Knox was a really interesting character for me because he had his successful businessman persona, and also the full on cowboy persona. They meshed well together, but he often was fighting one side or the other, trying to figure out what meant most to him. Kizzy has a similar internal debate, but I absolutely loved how efficient she was, how curious she was, and how she knew how to help Knox. I loved their connection, I loved the drama, and I really enjoyed reading this book and spending time with the Dalton’s!
What a perfect way to end the series about the Texas Daltons! One by one, the members of the Dalton family have found true love and Kizzy and K.C’s story is the perfect compliment to the rest of the series. Full of playful attraction, angst, blazing hot chemistry, misunderstanding, longing, mutual admiration… these two are destined to take the reader on a wild ride as they barrel towards their very own happily ever after.
Author Em Petrova has been a favorite author of mine for many years. There isn’t a book of hers that I haven’t read. If you haven’t taken the time to read the books in her Dalton series, I highly suggest you do so. While they are able to be read in any order as each story is a standalone, the entire series is best enjoyed by starting with book 1. Be prepared to fall in love, again and again!
Cowgirl Heart
Keziah(Kizzy) is the last unmarried Dalton. Kizzy has plans that don’t include marrying a cowboy. As the PA to the CEO of a mortgage company, her life seems to be on track. Things change on the day she takes a phone call saying her boss’s father has passed. Knox insists on Kizzy traveling with him to the family ranch to help take care of the business while he handles the ranch. Being with Knox on the “Amazing Grace Ranch” makes her realize that being a cowboy’s wife may not be all that bad. Especially if that cowboy is Knox.

As Em Petrova wraps up her enchanting Dalton series, we are gifted with the captivating story of a young woman’s determination to find her place in the world, while never truly letting go of her country roots; and a self-made billionaire who left behind his heritage, only to find that it’s embedded in his soul.
Tragedy, self-reflection and a vivacious Dalton girl, have forced KC Cohen to finally consider if the path he took so many years ago, was really where his heart belongs. Home after the death of his dad, he must decide if the legacy of the Amazing Grace runs deeper in his veins than he is prepared to admit. But his sweet and sassy assistant has no problem adapting to ranching life, as it becomes more obvious every day that she’s a country girl through and through.
This final instalment in this captivating, fun-filled and often thought-provoking series, will fill your heart with hope and tenderness as it delivers a deep and emotional story of loss and love. Kizzy and KC are so beautifully matched, and the storyline has an easy ebb and flow through both tragedy and discovery. So, while I’ll miss the enchanting Daltons, their family ties, funny antics, and the pleasure they have brought me through each and every story, I’m sure Ms Petrova has something wonderful in store for her readers, and I’ll definitely be re-reading these amazing stories at some future time.
