This is the second book from Misty and man is she blowing the book world. This book was amazing. I enjoyed every moment. I LOVED, LOVED these characters. both has me from the very start. I really liked how she was the hero, the strong one in the story while he was the vulnerable one. This was different for me, and I loved it.

The story has such a great theme/message. in the end LOVE can and will overpower everything.

I cant wait to see what Misty writes next. so far I’m liking her stories. she keeps me hooked from start to finish. its really enjoyable and great read.

New to me author Misty Walker courageously wrote a story that is an emotional rollercoaster of redemption, love and healing despite the ugly backdrop of hatred and racism. It’s raw intensity is heartbreaking, hopeful and devastating. Morae Brehon and Aaron Shedlock’s performance is excellent.

Conversion was awe inspiring and soul consuming. Misty Walker deserves a standing ovation for writing such a brilliant masterpiece. In this story you will learn to truly transcend in life and love you need to experience adversity. Your strength and beliefs will be tested every step of the way. Friendships, family, love, hope and fate will be the shining light in your darkness hour. If you want to experience unconditional love and acceptance this is the book for you. Your reading experience will never be the same. Truly Incredible!!!

This book was my first read from Misty Walker, and I loved it. It’s one of those stories, that stay with you for a long time, if not, it remains forever imprinted in your memory. It’s totally different from the typical rich, successful playboy, less fortunate girl, cliché romance novel; this one is real, raw, and it’s dealing with a lot of this day in ages serious problems, racism, hate crimes, violence, mental and physical abuse. It’s also about healing, compassion, acceptance, strength and love. I think I went through all human emotions, while reading it. I was scared, and in tears, because I felt pain for the little boy, Gunnar. We went through so much, he was alone in a horrible environment, and even though he felt that everything was wrong he couldn’t escape. I admired the 20 year old Tiana, who was strong, and quite mature for her age. I laughed, because of the nutter room mate, Lucy, who always lightened the mood every time she appeared. And I HATED Gunnar’s scum of the Earth, monster father. Gun meeting T. is a huge turning point. They have an instant connection, which only grows with time. They were so cute together I was swooning. I was rooting for them, and I saw the change in Gunnar. The environment he grew up in, made him believe he was evil, that he had a dark soul, and that he didn’t deserve love. But Tiana saw the good in him, from the very beginning, and he became stronger with every passing day, and the more time he spent with T. Then things happened, scary, painful things, ( yes I had stupid, sad, tears in my eyes ) and even though everyone was sceptical about their relationship, they stuck together through everything. In the end, Tiana’s love, the love he felt for T. in return, gave Gunnar the strength he needed, to break free, and the way he did it, surprised me, and made me clap my hands. Then, thanks to the epilogue there were swoony, happy tears too. You will not regret picking this book up and reading it.

This story… damn this story… It has a message that needs to be told. I’m glad that author didn’t shy away from the hard parts. It was utterly beautiful and somewhat painful. It was a story that was unique and it had to be told. No question. The characters, Gunner and Tiana, were amazing. They made me feel like really bleeping feel. I was so deeply invested in how their relationship was going to go. I was worried that one or the other weren’t going to make it. And man… I love the way Gunner loved Tiana. Oh hell… I loved the way Tiana loved Gunner. He used to be a young boy that didn’t get any love. He didn’t have any one in his corner. For once, he had someone. He had his girl each and every step of the way. Their journey was long but it was worth it. Damn… it was worth it. I’m choking up while writing this. This author got me. She really did.
