Hannah Bowman thought she’d known fear. She’d been terrified of dental treatment for decades. That was why she responded to the advert in the first place. And now she was captured. Now she was fighting to be free. Before Lawes devoured her entirely.Captured is the first book in The Rule of Lawes series. Read Countered to continue this dark tale.
All I can is WOW, Felicity Brandon’s newest book Captured just blew my mind. It reminds me of the old adage “be careful what you wish for.” This book pulled me in and spit me out and I’m still trying to recover from it. I’m not sure how Felicity keeps coming up with such uniquely intriguing stories. It has fascinating storyline and compelling characters that I want to read more about. Felicity takes a fear many people have and makes it work in her amazing books. I highly recommend this book to everyone and I can’t wait for the next book to come out.
Oh my freaky goodness!! I will never see a dentist office the same way. What a way to go. I don’t know which one I like more Fuller or Lawes? who is more domineering? But I got to say that they are definitely not to mess with. They definitely had capture me and I can not wait to see how all of this will keep rolling up to.

Just when you think Felicity Brandon books can’t get any darker…….
I absolutely love Felicity but this book didn’t help my dentist anxiety. However, I absolutely loved this book as usual. Ms. Brandon is definitely one of my automatic one click authors, if I haven’t preordered it already.
HOLY CRAPOLA!! I was biting my nails. Peeking through my fingers. I mean, Geez Louise, this book is Seriously Hot, like Sticky, Darkly, Dangerously, Sizzling Hot!! Ms. Brandon sure knows how to deliver some unexpected stories that keep you on the edge of your seat, cringing, but still begging for more. Hand me my ice water and fan please.
I found the concept of this book very interesting. I have a child that suffers from severe dental phobia and it has taken us years to find a dentist we are comfortable with. I’m not so sure the methods in this story would help, but I must admit that the idea is intriguing. I’m also wondering how I’m ever going to go to the dentist again without this story consuming my thoughts.
If you have read any of Felicity Brandon’s books then you will know that she is a master at her craft. She creates worlds and characters that are dark and twisted, in the best way, and stay with you long after you have reached The End. She is one of the few authors who can suck me into a story so completely I forget the world around me. This isn’t always a good thing if I get interrupted during a particularly dark scene, but it does amuse my family when something in the real world startles me because I forgot it was there. It’s a good thing I read this one fairly quickly since that happened more than once while I was reading this one. The story isn’t short, I just couldn’t put it down. It haunted my thoughts and I couldn’t think about anything else. Even after finishing it, I can’t get Hannah out of my head and I’m dying to know where her journey is going to take her. I know it’s going to be dark, delicious, and depraved, but the twists and turns aren’t ones I’m easy to see from where I’m sitting. That suspense, mixed with the sexy darkness, is what makes Ms. Brandon one of my Must-Read-Authors.
If you have a phobia of the dentist this one might just push you over the edge, but I highly recommend it and I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book.
I am never, ever, ever going to see a male dentist again. Ever. And if I didn’t already have dental anxiety, I’m pretty sure that Felicity Brandon would’ve just given it to me. Because, dayum, I mean really.
I admire Hannah’s grit and determination and her desire to be free. I think that she’s good at getting taking advantage of opportunities, but I think that she should do a little more planning as to what she’s going to do. Of course, I’m not entirely sure that she can plan ahead much, but, I think that she could play along with what’s going on until she got a better idea of the lay of the land.
I think that Lawes and Matthew have a little more… humanity, maybe. There’s something about the two of them that I like more than I like about Fuller.
I’ll have to see what comes next.
Another outstanding book by Felicity Brandon! The great character and plot development kept me totally intrigued throughout the entire book! I highly recommend reading any of this author’s books, you definitely will not be disappointed!
This book was very intriguing and I’m not sure if it makes me want to avoid the dentist or make an appointment! In typical Felicity Brandon captive romance fashion the heroine doesn’t want her captors and she resists them. As time goes on she starts to like how she is being treating and possibly her captors as well. This one is different in that she was captured by more than one person and she’s not their first victim. I’m curious to see where this series will continue since there’s so many possibilities. If you like other Felicity Brandon books you’ll like this one!
WOW AND WOW what a dark horrifying story and I loved every word I could not put this down. As if the dentist isn’t bad enough be very nervous this is one of a kind and I love the Authors brilliant mind as we actually get inside poor Hannah’s mind and her thoughts process as what and why this is happening as Lawes &Fuller complete their plans and punishments.
Hold on tight and heed the warnings it’s a wild ride.
When you are afraid of the Dentist you will do anything to make the trip to an appointment easier. So when Hannah gets a letter stating that Fuller and Lawes Dental could help her with her fear she finds it to good to be true. Hannah calls to make an appointment and they fit her in. When she arrives she is informed she will be interviewed to see if she is a good fit for their program. Hannah feels strange about it but continues on ,a coffee is offered and then her world goes’ black. When she awakens she is strapped into a treatment chair and naked, she is a prisoner in this devious plan.
Wow!! Captured by Felicity Brandon is a dark, raw, twisted story about what happens to Hannah who has a fear of going to the dentist, answers an email and is chosen by an Algorithm to be a patient to overcome her phobia. What she doesn’t realized that four men have come up with this plan to drug and hold these women to dominate them to submit to their needs and Hannah will find that her life will never be the same again. Now after her interview, Hannah awakens naked from being drugged and finds herself bound with no hope of escaping as these men will begin her education in submitting to them while be degrading and humilated into this lifestyle. Can she fully give her control over to these men as feelings she never thought she would experience are brought forth especially by Fuller and Lawes who are dangerously domineering. Will Hannah find herself having feelings for one of her captors and will she have the chance to escape? You will be on edge from the first page and won’t be able to look at a dentist in the same light. Felicity Brandon has taken her readers on a journey into this dark , erotic decadent world in her first book in the Dark Series. Felicity you never fail to disappoint your readers as we have to wait for the next book to find out what happens to Hannah and her captors. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
What a surprise Hanna got when she went to a new dentist, who said they could cure her angst of going to a dentist. She got a special invitation and got something completely different.
Fuller and Laws are indeed dentists and they have a way to get their patients less afraid going to a dentist. But to what price?
Their distraction is somewhat unorthodox…
I couldn’t let the book down – had to keep on reading. When comes the next?
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book
Dental procedures are bad enough on their own, but add Ms. Brandon’s take to them & they become horrifying.
Hannah unfortunately has suffered for a dental phobia since childhood & has managed to avoid dentists for years, But now, she’s got a cavity that requires attention. And then, lo & behold, she receives a letter promising to help those with dental phobias from Lawes & Fuller.
So, with knees shaking Hannah visits Lawes & Fuller . . . .
But Lawes & Fuller’s unorthodox ‘treatment’ plan is nothing what Hannah expected. She’s captured, trapped, helpless, terrified & horrified by her own reactions to the ‘treatment’.
This story almost immediately plunges the reader into DARK, DEPRAVED, INTENSE, SIZZLING depths. The author sucks the reader in & we are privy to Hannah’s thoughts, emotions, confusion & downright terror. Thus the reader commiserates with Hannah, we are agitated & worried for & about her but the reader is also witness to Hannah’s ‘treatment’ that sizzles off the page.
But even with the carnal heat, the reader is on tenterhooks for Hannah & the ultimate outcome of the frightening & chaotic horror in which she finds herself. Enslaved, physically helpless, seesawing between terror & lust, the only weapon Hannah retains is her intelligence. But is that enough to save her not only from her captors, but also from herself?
Another deliciously dark, wickedly wanton sizzling read from Ms Brandon.
Read it if you dare.
Gosh, I’m not sure if I’m more afraid of the dentist now, or need to book an appointment asap!
This is a fairly dark read, lots of dubious consent and non-consent, though at times Hannah’s thoughts, feelings and responses made this feel less of a violation and more like her secret fantasies come true. Personally I needed more of fighter Hannah, even if it was only her mentally rebelling against her captors and their actions, but despite that I still enjoyed this hot, kinky and depraved tale. It’s certainly not your usual visit to the dentist, that’s for sure!
The plot pushes the boundaries of what is believable, but as it’s a captive romance I don’t mind letting that fact slide. Plus the writing, pace and characterisation (not to mention downright filthy hot sex scenes) are fabulous and allowed me to sink into the story. Since this is only the first part of a series it does end on a mild cliff-hanger, and this is clearly only part of the story arc. I have no idea where the story will go but I do know that I will be reading more of Hannah and her ‘dentists’.
Oh my but this was a dark read! It was so good I sucked it down way to fast and now I’m sad I have to wait for the next one! Even tho there are 4 men or seems that the story is more between Hannah and Lawes. Tho the other men do interact with Hannah.
Hannah has a huge fear of the dentist after a bad experience as a child. So when a practice sends her an invitation, that promises to help her with her dental problems and her fear. She jumps at the chance because she needs a cavity in her tooth fixed. But when she gets there it looks more like a residence then a practice, and her interview ends with her getting drugged!
When she wakes up she is bound and captured and her life is about to take a huge dive from what she wants or expects. But every experience she has she also seems to get aroused from. Whether she wants to or not…
Well, I have to say that Ms. Brandon has done it yet again. She has taken my very willing hands and has led me down the proverbial rabbit hole into a dark and mysterious place. Know that this book is quite dark so if you have triggers, it’s simply not for you. I don’t so I found myself drawn in and captivated by the harrowing experiences our Hannah has been enduring through the course of this book. I cringed in several parts, said aloud how much I disliked these men and their methods; this book is not for the faint of heart. But if you’re going to read Felicity Brandon, you need to accept the fact that she pushes boundaries. And she does that very well in this book.
I can get so invested in Felicity’s writing that time and location drift away and I’m transported into the world she has created. It’s a dark and frightening world indeed. I care about Hannah and I find myself wanting to comfort her, help her escape and find her life again. This is a testament to good writing. I care. I’m not just idly reading a book, I’m involved in it.
If you like dark and forbidden books, this is for you. Well written, finely paced and fully developed, this story will twist your heart and demand that you see it through to the end. I have hope for Hannah. I’ve just gotta see where this is going to go. I eagerly await the next book.
Inside the mind of Felicity Brandon must be a very scary place. She has the most dark, deviant and horrific thoughts that scream to be put to paper. I am in awe and I bow down to be able to read each delicious and scary thought. She definitely doesn’t disappoint with this make you think twice about going to the dentist story. We’ve all heard nightmare dentist stories but not to this level. Well done.
I read and reviewed a copy of this book.
The first book of a new Dark series by Felicity Brandon and I loved this book from start to finish. I couldn’t read fast enough to see what happens next.
I loved the idea of the book. The whole dentist front was a genius idea. Hannah was a wonderful character, her reaction to what is happening to her felt very sincere and she is full of conflict about her feelings. Feelings that she shouldn’t you, should she? I loved getting in her head.
And the guys actually made me laugh. They were just boys playing with their toys. They was such a sense of joy from them. What they are doing is totally wrong, but they love every minute.
Can’t wait to read the next book.
Four gentlemen have devised an Algorithm that will supposedly help women overcome their fear of dental work. Hannah is chosen to become one of their patients. Everything appears clean and attractive right up until Hannah sees the dental chair. She becomes frightened and wary and accepts a cup of coffee. Soon she becomes dizzy, unconscious and awakens naked and totally restrained in the dreaded chair. Now, the story begins!!! And, OMG, what a rare and decadent tale it is!!!
What will happen? Who are these men? What is their ultimate (degenerate) plan? Will Hannah overcome her dental fear? If she does, how will it happen? Will Hannah be able to accommodate the demands required of her? Will she want to? How does Hannah handle being humiliated and denigrated and totally bound and controlled?
As I have come to expect, Felicity Brandon has written an intense, exciting, thoroughly salacious view into the events of just about one day. WOW!!! This story is erotically humiliating and deliciously dark. How far can it go? Only time will tell!!!
