Never read this authors work before. She writes a wonderful short story with all the things you need or want for a romance. But to do it in a short as she has and make you the reader not feel cheated or disappointed is difficult to do believe me.
This is a story of a brother (Joey) and his sister Stella opening a cafe where she sells her bakery treats and he his coffee. On the day of their grand opening Joey’s longtime friend Wes comes and it just so happens to be that he is their very first customer. When Stella hears someone arrive she turns to greet them, she stops when in awe for she sees its Wes her brother’s best friend since high school.
Back then his was tall, thin and on the nerdy side. Totally into computers and video games and different things from the average teen guys. Stella had a crush on him and yet he never noticed her. That has all changing right here and now. When she comes around the counter to greet him. He is six-feet of solid fit man who is gorgeous. Wes appears to be pleased by the smile and twinkle in his eyes. You see Stella is a full-figure curvy woman in all the right places.
The rest of the day Wes’ interest in Stella grows. He is easily distracted with thoughts of only her. When he gets home he calls Joey to talk to him about dating his sister. (Can we give a round of applause to this author. I have read so many books where the guy is warning off the sister or friend. I’m like the guy is your friend why wouldn’t you trust him? Otherwise, why is he your friend? Or is the image in the mirror too close to his? That’s why you don’t trust him?) She also provides an epilogue that gives you a satisfying feeling at the end.

Stella and her brother have opened a coffee and pastry shop. One of his old friends is back. Wes used to be nerdy but Stella thought he was cute but now wow. Wes and Stella are a fun, interesting and exciting couple as they find their way to their HEA.

This sweet story about a high school crush, years later is funny and just what a happily ever after should look like. Ms. Hunt has written characters that are believable, fun and, dare I say, likeable? Wes and Stella are typical kids next door and this book had smooth sailing to their HEA. I enjoyed the style of writing Ms. Hunt used and since she is a new. tome, author, I will be watching for more from her.

Wes and Stella have the right ingredients to create a sweet story that draws you in. When Wes drops into the Sweet Bean Café, that’s not the only craving that’s going on. Stella has had a crush on Wes since high school but he is her brother’s best friend which means he is off limits. Now that they are older Wes wants to know if a relationship between him and Stella can happen. One date turns the possibilities into a reality for these two. Will her brother be on board for them to have a happily ever after? I voluntarily agreed to receive an ARC of this book for an honest review

Stella is opening up a cafe with her brother when their first customer comes in. It just so happens to be her brother Joey’s friend from childhood and Stella’s former crush Wes. When Wes decides to ask out Stella their first date goes perfectly but just 4 weeks later they get an unexpected surprise! I loved this book so much! I loved how Wes was all in and didn’t once waver on it. I loved Stella as a character. Joey was a great supportive brother. If you like surprise baby books then this is the one for you. This is definitely a new favorite. I can’t wait to read more by this author.

Love it when we have a woman with curves who gets the right kind of loving. This is a brother’s friend romance but there’s no drama or angst. Just sweet and sexy with some carbs thrown in.

This little novella was really quick to read, the storyline is a fast-paced brothers best friend romance, the insta connection between Wes and Stella was sizzling, their relationship went full speed ahead. Highly entertaining story. I really liked the characters, they are really both likable and relatable.
Three and a Half Stars

3.5 stars **** I think it could have been longer but it was probably meant to be short. They got an awful lot done in such a small period of time. But all the bases were covered, sweet and steamy! Entertaining read!

Stella and her brother (Joey) are finally opening their dream business together, a coffee shop/bakery. There very first customer is none other than Joey’s high school friend, Wes. The attraction between Stella and Wes is electric, but both are afraid the other is off limits due to the whole friend’s little sister/brother’s best friend issue. Wes decides to remedy the situation by asking Joey for his blessing before asking Stella on a date. The chemistry is instant and ultra hot. The couple dives right in and things feel ‘meant to be’. But will that feeling hold true after Stella learns that her cookies aren’t the only thing she has cooking in the oven?
This story is a quick and sweet read. Kate Hunt does it again with a short story that keeps the reader’s attention and leaves them wanting more. Guaranteed HEA and enough steam to heat up a cold night.

Stella opens a cafe with her brother. His best friend, Wes is the 1st customer. One look between him and Stella and they feel a connection and can’t stop thinking about the other. They start to date and have sex and although Stella is on the pill, they still become pregnant. Love the ending!!
I really enjoyed this story.
Stella and her brother open up their new café, and the first customer they get is my brother Joey’s friend—Wes, who is now hot. Wes asks Stella out and she says yes. Their first date is a hit. Stella learns something that is life changing just a few short weeks later.
The characters were awesome. The instalove was most definitely instalove. This was a fun short read with steam. Would love to see a story for Joey too.
I definitely recommend reading this book.

If you have not introduced yourself to Kate Hunt, boy, are you missing out! Buns In The Oven is only the latest of her wotks that I have had the joy of reading. The masin characters, Wes & Stella, are such strong individuals. They are determined, dedicated, compassionate, attentuve, loving, and family focused. The emotional connection between them, and with the reader, keeps you feeling a part of the story from the very start until the final page.
Wes and Stella had known each other for years, though only superficially. He was her brother’s best friend, and a bit of a scrony geek. She was just his friends little sister, and he was more interested in playing videos. When he entered their new cafe, however, that all changed.
They both saw the other in a new light, and their thoughts remained stuck on the other. Before Wes could act on his feelings though, he needed to clear it with his friend – he was a good guy after all and didn’t want to hurt anyone, or sneak around (total winner there!).
It only took getting close to each other for them to realize how strong the chemistry was between them. However, to see where that chemistry and mutual admiration took them, you have to read for yourself! Trust me, you’ll love it.
I was fortunate enough to receive an ARC of this book, and am happy to leave my honest opinion in this review. All of Kate’s books are fabulous, and this was no exception.
Fast paced connection between Stella and Wes, instant love in the making after just one date. Cute read, with no OTT drama. Like the ending for this couple.
