Follow a group of survivors on a journey that spans eleven books and twenty years as they search for safety in a world overrun by the dead…When a deadly virus sweeps the country, Vivian sets out for California in hopes of seeing the daughter she gave up for adoption. Then her car breaks down and she’s faced with a choice: give up or accept a ride from redneck brothers, Angus and Axl. Vivian … Angus and Axl. Vivian knows getting in the car with strangers is a risk, but with time running out, she’s willing to do whatever it takes to reach her daughter.
The virus is spreading, and by the time the group makes it to California, most of the population has already been wiped out. When the dead start coming back, Vivian and the others realize that no electricity or running water are the least of their concerns. Now Vivian must learn how to be a mom under the most frightening circumstances, cope with Angus’s aggressive mood swings, and sort out her growing attraction to his brooding younger brother, Axl.
While searching for a safe place to go, the group meets a pompous billionaire who may be the answer to all their problems. Trusting him means going into the middle of the Mojave Desert and possibly risking their lives, but with the streets overrun and nowhere else to turn, he might be their only chance for survival…

I absolutely loved this book and couldn’t wait to read the next in the series. Great writing and detail. Shows the evil in an apocalypse.
Fun, cheesy zombie novel. Very quick read.
I have had this book, awhile, read it and loved it then. At the time, I didn’t have wifi because it wasn’t available where we live, so I would only be able to download books when I went to a friends house. Basically, I didn’t think about getting more of this series when I could. I read this again yesterday, am at the end of book two and will buy …
Not a bad “end of the world as we know it” book. I liked that the character development was a little different than what you expect in these kinds of stories. You know…end of the world, not many people, so the ones left are either the hunters or the hunted…along with the stereotypical personalities and typical things good and/or bad people do …
Good read. Some slow spots, but worth the read!
I am a reading the 5th book in the series. It is pretty good. I think there are only 7 books so I will be sad to see it end.
I expected a typical Zombie book but this was a delightful surprise. I found myself caring about what happens to the characters in the next book.
Kept me entranced throughout the whole series, will read again. I love reading but there are few books that I revisit, this series will be one of them.
Loved it
A unique view of a zompoc world. Can’t wait to read the series.
Serviceable writing and solid characterizations. Reads like a story right out of the world of the Walking Dead. Will most likely continue this series because I’m already curious to know where it goes and what happens to the characters.
Broken World is the first novel in another “zombie apocalypse” series. While not original in its premise, the cast of characters and almost non-stop action made this a fun little read. Kate L. Mary’s love of The Walking Dead was quite apparent during my reading.

My Rating: 3.75/5 stars
Very good book. I enjoyed it.
This book is amazing!!! Love love love this book and series
I can’t wait to read more of her books! This was really good
The Broken World book is an apocalyptic (Zombie story) and that is why I first got it. I enjoyed reading all the books in the series. I liked that the hero and the heroine were very flawed and messed up. When I began the book, I wasn’t sure I liked the characters and there was one particular character I found hateful. However, by the end of …
Did not like this book.
Best series of books ever.
terrible, don’t waste your time
At first I really liked it, but the further I read the less I cared. Never finished.
