More than a year after leaving her unfaithful husband, Renee Mattison is ready to move on, but how can she move on from someone who refuses to let go?
Lorenzo Higgs is handsome and magnetic with a past that would send most women running, not to mention a little emotional baggage. Renee knows she should be afraid of Lorenzo, but the only thing that frightens her is the possibility of another … another broken heart.
The two share an electric attraction and a smoldering chemistry, but will they learn to truly believe in each other enough to build a lasting love?

STORY:
I really enjoyed this story and I have to say, it really wasn’t Renee that stole the show for me, but Lorenzo. Lorenzo is a writer, however, he had a whole other life prior to writing that added a little something bad and naughty to his character for me. In book one, Stay With Me, I thought Renee was crazy for allowing certain things to happen. Her connection with Lorenzo really brought out this book and the lengths Lorenzo would go to get what he wants. Unbeknownst to Lorenzo and Renee, It was good seeing how the past connected them. I believe chapter 40, so funny, I think Renee acted the way I did. I was glad she got all that she wanted, as it was deserved.
SEXUAL CHEMISTRY:
Sexually, Lorenzo is bad. He is a book persona, but this man had me blushing and not just sex but his whole bravado.
SECONDARY CHARACTERS:
This family is crazy. Mom and dad, I can not I can not I can not, lol (this is in reference to the scene with what Renee witness. It was good seeing Angela and Ryan and I guess Nicky, I can not connect with Nicky, so I am not sure if I will read her story yet.
OVERALL:
I love this story and I really find myself in love with Lorenzo. I appreciate this author and love her storytelling thus far, pass and present books. I look forward to more of her work. Thank you.
TRIGGERS:
****I don’t equate these stories to real life. It’s about personal taste and what you would or want to tolerate with the books you read. I know we all have different opinions and preferences with what we read. I based my book reviews on my preferences and what I like, and while these preferences may not be the same for others, I hope this review was still helpful.
I listened to the audio book. I enjoyed this book much more than the first one.
Believe in Me grabbed my attention from the very beginning and held it to the last page.
I liked Renee, even when her ex had sent her through it and she was ready to give up. I liked Zo. he was all in for Renee. They went through their fair share of issues, but always managed to pull it back together. I really felt the chemistry between Zo and Renee. They just seemed to click.
There were a couple of intense scenes. Something I think many people could relate to. That final chapter with Renee was just funny. I also like Rel. That scene between So and Rel was too much. Then there was that twist with Renee’s dad. This book gave me things I wasn’t even expecting.
I am hoping Nikki’s book is just as good. Nikki was a hot mess, and I can’t imagine the road we are going to travel with her.
