Blue and her friends made it back to Earth. The adventures are over, and all that’s left is to clean up the aftermath. She’s dealing with police, rumors and rivalries at school, nightmares and increasingly distant friends. Maybe it’s an adventure of a new kind but it feels more like the end of them. So, Blue comes up with a new plan:Get Phe and Kevin together, officiallyGet Forrest out of his … Forrest out of his house
And figure out why she can’t stop thinking about a certain red-haired clansman, and what she’d going to do about it.

Hit with all the feels in this one! Can’t wait to delve into Book 3
Great follow-up/in between adventures in the Blue Faust series by Cecilia Randell! No crazy times in this one, but you got sucked in with the emotions the kids had to deal with after returning home without everyone they unexpectedly left with. I really appreciate how real this story feels, like it could be contemporary because of the interactions and feelings, but there is the whole jumping through portals and different planets/dimensions haha.
In this book we get to see Blue fight for her friends, being there for them in a really tough and tense time in their lives, all while trying to put on a brave face and not think about the world she left and then men who already had a place in her heart. Cannot wait to see what happens when Blue goes back and sees her men again, especially a certain mercenary and clansman haha. Enjoyed listening to this in the Book 1/2 compilation audiobook and already listening to Book 3 that recently released
Jfc I had been waiting for long to read this until I practically forgot the moment I was able to bought a copy. Talk about memory issues. I only started binge-reading the series to be able to catch up for the upcoming release of book 4 (or is it released already? fml).
Behind These Blue Eyes was like the aftermath of a reading marathon, in my personal experience. I get involved and immersed in my reading that sometimes I lost track of time irl and…basically everything and everyone else. Thus, whenever I did get back to reality or whenever i stopped my binge, I get so disoriented and stressed af.
Blue and her friends were in a similar situation, kind of. Imagine being affected so much from an adventure, to an extent that they did discover a whole new world and experienced loss like nothing before-it surely would get challenging to get back to what was their usual before.
I didn’t want to take the reprieve of distancing oneself away from the other characters esp being so disconcerted and dispirited from the incident in book 1. But I would like to give a shout out to Blue for being courageous to initiate the confrontations. Of course, it wasn’t as simple or as easy as I had put it. For one, deep inside her, Blue still thought she’s the one to blame for the whole adventure-gone-wrong thing. Second, and technically, she was the newbie of the group, an outsider through and through. So glad she was able to resolve things eventually in this novella.
As for the aspect of the reverse harem, I had been searching and searching for a scenario wherein the guys would have to give themselves up (expose themselves to vulnerabilities or be the selfless ones for a change) for the heroine’s benefit. The guys being considered as Blue’s love interests weren’t friends nor acquaintances whatsoever. And that’s the type of reverse harem that I would like to get my hands into and would like to dissect (for research purposes, ha!). But you get what I mean. /rubs both hands together
As the second book in this series stick up right where the last one ended with the group dealing with the fallout of their adventures through the portal. We get grief, depression, confusion, and so much more as they all try to adapt to the real world o my to discover that they need something else all along. I enjoy getting into Blue’s head and I find my self addicted as I wonder what new adventure will come next. With an ending like this I will be looking forward to the next installment. If you enjoy very slow burn RH novels then this is the series for you. I really enjoyed it so I give it 4/5 stars.
Oh man this book killed me in a good way! Watching Blue, Phe, Kevin and Forrest figure their way back to normal was after all of the loss. I totally felt for them. I really feel like they’re coming out on the other side. I need to know what happens next!
Sorry no spoilers of any kind because I’m not the type that does that. So this is all I’m going to say about this book is it’s absolutely fantastic!
Each book of Blue just gets better and better! I loved this book just like the first one. Cecilia Randell definitely knows how to pull her reader in and get them hooked because I couldn’t put this book down once I started reading it!
So heck yeah I definitely recommend this book to anyone who’s interested in crawling into this story and getting lost within its pages. But fair warning you’ll be hooked and needing more by the time you get to the end!
