Auggie aka Bandit is the treasurer and hacker of the Salvation Kings. With half the Henchmen now on their side, there’s much to figure out, which results in one of the former Henchmen staying with the Kings. Russell is the kind of man Auggie wants but needs to stay away from. There’s something about the big bearded man that draws Auggie in and as much as Russell scares him, he also makes him feel … feel safe. His attraction to Russell is strong but acting on it means trusting the man and sharing parts of himself he’s kept hidden for years.
Russell ‘Skinner’ Jones used to know who he was. Then Ronin happened. He doesn’t regret leaving with Ares, but he knows starting over won’t be easy. They’re lucky to have the Kings’ help and there’s one King in particular that has caught Russell’s eye. One look at the small skittish man and he knows he needs to find a way to earn Auggie’s trust. Auggie’s been hurt in a way that’s left him with deep emotional scars, but that doesn’t stop Russell from wanting him. It only makes him more determined to prove himself worthy of Auggie’s love.
But can Russell keep Auggie safe when the monster from Auggie’s past comes looking for him?

As with other books in this series, the characters were awesome! I loved the balance between emotional and steamy! There is nothing stereotypical about the MCs and their unique backgrounds.
The author put a lot of attention to the development of the relationship and it worked beautifuly. I felt invested from page one and it held until the very end!
Another great addition to the series!
Steamy and touching story of learning to trust and love. This is a story of learning to build again and creating a future that is what you need and want. I loved these MC’s and how they found their way to each other. Bandit has to open his possibilities to being close to a big guy like Skinner and i just loved how patient and kind Skinner was with him. Skinner let Bandit set the pace and created so many ways for him to feel that each step was Bandit’s decision and under his control. So very important for a survivor and gave a great basis for their relationship to grow and become amazing. I really loved seeing characters from the previous books. I am so enjoying this series.
Bandit and Skinner are terrific together and i loved the process they went through to be able to be together. This is a steamy, intense and fun ride for these guys and you will want to read and enjoy it with them.
This is book four of the Salvation Kings series and could be read as a stand-alone. However i would recommend reading in the order written because there is so much character development and group dynamics that will enrich the story. I am looking forward to the next release!
I was gifted this book from the author and i freely give my honest opinion and review.
For a good chunk of I was convinced Ana Night had decided this installment to be the tamest of the series. Things ran smoothly and calmly, just Russell doing his best to get under Auggie’s skin. I’ve had a lot of fun watching Russell not giving his cute “prey” any opportunity to make an escape. The chase was adorable, with Auggie slowly realizing he can finally put his guard down, that he could trust Russell with his heart.
I guess I got complacent with the peaceful honeymoon, lovey-dovey phase of their relationship, because it took me by surprise when both Russell and Auggie’s pasts came back to shatter the calm. All of a sudden, they had to deal with nutty relatives, which was actually hilarious, but sadly, Auggie’s violent ex put in motion a series of events that risked almost everyone’s lives.
So, kudos to the author for tricking me into seeming serenity, to then have my heart rate cranked up thanks to the suspense. The violent moments apart, was an entertaining read. Mostly for the development of the relationship between Russell and Auggie, then thanks to Russell’s family shenanigans, and, as always, because of the biker brothers’ interactions.
I really hope this isn’t the last book in the Salvation Kings series, because I’ve come to care a lot for all of these amazing men amd women. Fingers crossed, there will be more stories.
