So much fun
A clean and enjoyable Regency romance. Moving courtship from London to Diana’s home town is certainly “chaotic”. In short, it is a mess, but a very fun mess. Plenty of twists and turns kept me entertained. It was a very fun story!

Diana Foster was taken to London for part of the season by her Aunt and Uncle Foster. There she met Miss Reynolds who was the daughter of one of her uncle’s business associates. She met a Mr. Richfield right after she first came to London and they had conversed at nearly every event Diana had attended. He was a handsome gentleman he did not have a title and he was wealthy. He had come to request that Ms. Forster played the pianoforte and asked bet allowed to turn the pages for her Miss Reynolds was upset because she had decided that Mr. Richfield would be her husband. Mr. Richfield asked if he found his way to Diana’s family home would he be welcome. He asked for permission to speak with her father. And she said it was always pleasant have new people in the neighborhood and that her father did enjoy making new friends and she was sure he would find a warm welcome in her home. And her mother also wrote her about her younger brother will wanting her to be careful when they came home due to a highwayman and if they should be stopped to just cooperate with everything he wanted and when will heard about it he would catch the high women and punish him for robbing her. To find out what really happens in the rest of the book you have to read the book. It’s a very good book…
This is the first book by this author that I have read I found it to be well written and a story that held my interest throughout. I would like to read more by this Author. I read a copy through KU and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
This is romantic, suspenseful, entertaining, dramatic and unpredictable. Mr. Richfield is charming, sweet and romantic. Diana is gullible, shy and kind. She also has a quick temper. These two are the sweetest, most timid couple ever. It takes them forever to get from him asking her father to him asking her. There were some extenuating circumstances, like a highwayman Diana’s sister Sarah was convinced was him, a few very spoiled, stuck up and catty girls and a house party. This made me laugh and cry, and wish I could smack a few people. This is a must add to your TBR list and read asap. I look forward to reading more books by this author.

The book is aptly titled. This story is definitely about “A Chaotic Courtship”. Bethany Swafford has a wonderful writing style that I can appreciate. Her characters are as diverse as snowflakes are unique. The characters were of all ages as young as sixteen. Their personalities were engaging and kept the story flowing. The storyline is amusing and of course chaotic. However, not all of it is pleasing. There are those characters that are disagreeable no matter what. There is suspicion and danger. There is a calm and peaceful feeling when the fathers and mothers would worry for their children and their safety. It is nice to read about families that truly care for one another. The characters’ feelings and emotions were wide ranging from attraction, to envy, to jealousy, to anger, to regret, shame, love and many more. This is a surprising and an uncommon theme for a story and I enjoyed reading this very much. I do recommend it. I received a free copy of this book via Hidden Gems and am voluntarily leaving a review.
