Sweet Quick Read!
The romance between Antony & Jana is a very enjoyable, easy read and great addition to the series. Sweet, well written characters and nice combination of emotion, drama, and steamy romance! Enjoy!
I received an advance copy and am happy to leave my honest review.
This was a great read. I thought the story was very well written and flowed well. The story kept me glued to the pages to see how everything would turn out. I loved the characters and had this read in one sitting. I would highly recommend this read.
Danger Magnet is Book 4.5 in the Children Of Ossiria series. We first meet Anthony in Mate, Book 4, and this is his story. Anthony is such a good man and he deserves a woman who will love him and accept his life style. He meets her (Jana) who is having dinner in the restaurant where he is chef. Jana chokes on a shrimp and Anthony saves her. Instead of accepting the free meal Anthony offers, Jana asks him for a date and he accepts. You must read the book to find out what happens next. I love this intriguing, amusing, romantic tale. This is a book and series I highly recommend. The storyline is interesting and exceptionally well written and the character development is spot on. I really like the fact that the focus is on the romance and not the supernatural aspect. I received a copy from Booksprout and this is my voluntary and honest review.
If you want a great series to read, this is it. This is book number five in the series and I love how the author is building up all the characters for the series. You can tell one character from the next by the development of them all. I cannot wait to read more books in this series and I love the build up of everything in it. You will not go wrong by reading all of these books.

This is a quick read but an intriguing one. The plot is very interesting, and I easily became invested in the main characters. Jana and Anthony are two hurt and damaged souls who meet and have a lot of emotions that they have to sort through. This truly is a romance that is well deserved and fought for. This is the first book I’ve read by this author and I thoroughly enjoyed it and shall be looking to read more from her in the future. If you enjoy a good paranormal romance then grab this book, find a comfy chair and get ready for a wonderful time reading this book.

I’m loving Vivian Lane’s Children of Ossiria series. It has just the right mix of supernatural, romance and action to get my reading glands salivating (umm, that’s a good thing, trust me). Do now we come to Danger Magnet (Book 4.5). I liked Anthony when he had a secondary role in Mate (Book 4) so it’s great to see him get his own novel and to fill in more details. This is a superb book. Well written, with a great plot, a perfect cast and benefitting from series with perfect world-building. Also totally fun. Exactly what I look for and easily worth five stars.
I liked this origin story of how Anthony and Jana meet. I thought it was well written and entertaining. Just a little steamy story to read that had more of a romance feel to it which totally fit with the story line. I liked that it focused on them and not the supernatural world they live in. A cute story.
Jana came home from a bad date and wrote about her troubles in her diary. Why couldn’t she find a decent man out there?
Antony was heading home after working at the restaurant when he found a pregnant young woman with a vampire at her neck! He saved her long enough to deliver the baby and promise to take care of her child before she died from blood loss. Being an honorable guy who kept his promises, Antony took the baby home with him since that was closer than the hospital. Later he took her to a doctor to be sure she was healthy, but when he left, she cried the whole time. The doctor tracked him down and asked if he would take her just until they found a home for her since the baby had actually started to bond with him. He named her “Elyse Anne Sheffield” on the birth certificate the doctor provided. After a week, they moved to L.A. and he made a home for them.
When Antony needed someone of a “special skillset” to provide protection for Elyse because of her Qess heritage, he was referred to Carys Taylor who told him she reserved her “goddess” look for Ossiria. As Antony was leaving, a vampire he was told was William walked in and knew he was a Paladin. Antony likewise recognized William as “William the Butcher of Ai”, one of the most notorious vampires in history, then pulled out a stake. They got that all sorted out and Carys insisted Antony stay the night and rest. Carys would find a permanent home for the baby and Antony left her in safety.
A year later, Jana and Melinda were having their dinner when Jana choked on a shrimp. Before she could move, strong arms surrounded her and she coughed out the shrimp. The chef who had helped her was gorgeous! He offered her dinner at no charge, but instead she asked for a date for Friday and he agreed! He checked off all her boxes for a perfect date! She waited impatiently Friday for him and was suddenly pulled back by strong arms – right before a car that blew a tire jumped the curb and would have hit her! Antony chuckled and called her a “Danger Magnet” since this was the second time he had to rescue her. Jana was a good choice for him; and she happened to be looking for a man like Antony as well! The only negative was that he didn’t want to talk about most of his adult life. What was the mystery he was hiding? Didn’t he trust her? Would she be able to love him if she knew? And would he protect her from the vampires?
This story was so excellent! The story line was amazing and I loved Antony’s character from the start. Jana was likewise amazing, not afraid to say and do what she wants, confident and likable. Grab your copy and dive into a well-written story that will hopefully put a huge smile on your face. The dialog in this one was perfection!
This is a sweet short read, a fun novella into Anthony and Jana. I enjoyed their relationship, their romance and passion but also felt sorry for Anthony as he struggled with his dark past and secret. This is such a great series and I cannot wait to read the next book!
This was a really short story – move of a novella than a novel. It’s a story about Anthony and Jana and how they meet and fall in love. It does have appearances by some of the other characters in the series and it was good to see the interactions of everyone. As usual, Ms. Lane keeps her characters sharp and well developed and her story building is excellent. I highly recommend this for fans of the Children of Ossiria series.

I have read all parts of Children of Ossiria and was curious about this story that tells about Anthony who was introduced in part 4. I expected that baby Elyse would also be present in this story and that we would learn more about the Qess breed. But Elyse stays behind with Kalana (Carys) and she would look for a good home for her. This story is really based on Anthony and his way to true love.
Few paranormal encounters in this story, little information about his life as a paladin. Little that makes you realize that you are reading a story in line with Ossiria. I found that disappointing. The love story about Anthony and Jana is well expressed. Good structure and insight into both uncertainties. A happy ending is always something that makes me feel good when closing a book.
This book receives 3.5 stars from me

A quick, fun read letting it’s a little further into Antony’s life. We see him meet and fall for Jana. Be warned its not really even a full novella, more a snapshot. However it’s a fun glimpse with a few of the familiar characters popping in like Carys and William. I adore this series and can’t wait for the next book!
Short and Sweet!! This story was very short and not very detailed, but it was sweet and still included aspects of the previous books in the series. I think Antony is a good man with a caring heart and I feel like he deserved a happily ever after with someone who would care about him just as well. Especially since he took such good care of baby Elyse and made sure she would be well taken care of. Jana was just the right woman for him….she was looking for a man like Antony and he deserved a woman that would love him and be able to handle his lifestyle. They were a perfect match!
Anthony’s story was sweet, romantic, amusing and intriguing. After leaving behind the Agency he sought a life that helped him heal. Jana had not asked for too much in the heart’s ways. She had had not luck but that was to change and with a surprise. We don’t have much information about Anthony’s past but despite being a short story, we know there was loss and feelings that said a lot about the grief he was dealing with. Enjoyed the lovely courtship with the air of romance and passion. Felt sorrow for Anthony and his inner struggle and liked Jana’s involvement and her acceptance of the truth.
Another paladin finds love. Anthony is a paladin who thinks he can’t have a relationship. Because of what he knows about demons he thinks everyone around him gets hurt. Then he meets Jana while she is eating at the restaurant where he is the chef. Everything changes. He can’t resist her. But he’s afraid. Will he be able to keep her safe from the vampires?
