Take one American singer who doesn’t believe in falling in love… sensible wife, who values commitment. He wants a partnership, a friendship, and none of the craziness that goes with falling in love. As far as he can see, there’s only one way to get exactly what he wants—he needs an arranged marriage.
…add a Scottish librarian who has given up on ever falling in love…
Caroline Patterson terrifies men. With her no-nonsense attitude, and ice queen demeanour, she’s in control of everything—and everyone—around her. Her sensible shoes and grey skirt suits act like a force field, repelling male attention. At thirty-one, she can’t remember the last time she went on a date and is beginning to think she’ll never have a family of her own. When an American stranger approaches Caroline with a marriage proposal that resembles a business contract, she quickly accepts. She doesn’t expect romance. But she does expect to control each and every detail of their lives together. Because as life has taught her—if you aren’t in control, bad things happen.
…and you get romance Invertary style!
Josh and Caroline learn the hard way that falling in love isn’t something you can avoid. And it definitely isn’t something you can control. Their well laid plans are about to degenerate into chaos, as they fall in love the Invertary way.

enjoyable read; I’d recommend, nice storyline without explicit sex scenes. Nice change of pace.
Cute, fun, quick read.
Delightfully funny.
I feel bad when I don’t like a book because I wouldn’t be able to do any better. However, there is nothing believable, or fun, or cute, or anything about all of these people. Nothing they do or say is believable. The author doesn’t develop any of the characters or their relationships. Just stupid and a waste of time. Sorry!
Good book!
Fun summer read.
Sweet and funny book set in modern-day Scotland.
Starts out really unrealistic, but if you can get past that, it’s a cute read.
Very enjoyable! Dialogue was great. Story was entertaining!
I loved the banter in this book – the writing made me laugh out loud more than once. I was disappointed when it ended as I just love ready rom-com done well and this one is done very well.
I love how the characters were described and how the story kept you in it’s grasp until the end. Great ending too!
I thought it would be funnier.
love this series, it is fun and entertaining
I loved the characters in this book. It was funny and romantic.
very, very enjoyable
Is marriage about love or commitment? Music star Josh was sick of all the Hollywood romantic relationships that ended when the feelings went away. He wanted commitment–a marriage that would last, like his parents’ marriage. So he tasked his best friend and manager to find him a wife that would fill the bill. But what would happen if he fell in love with his fiance?
Funny. Funny. Funny. I LOVED this book. I laughed out loud when dad decided to woe his wife of 35 years after reading romance novels for guidance. Priceless. You’ll just have to read this book to see what I mean,.
I didn’t want it to end!
