Take one American singer who doesn’t believe in falling in love… sensible wife, who values commitment. He wants a partnership, a friendship, and none of the craziness that goes with falling in love. As far as he can see, there’s only one way to get exactly what he wants—he needs an arranged marriage.
…add a Scottish librarian who has given up on ever falling in love…
Caroline Patterson terrifies men. With her no-nonsense attitude, and ice queen demeanour, she’s in control of everything—and everyone—around her. Her sensible shoes and grey skirt suits act like a force field, repelling male attention. At thirty-one, she can’t remember the last time she went on a date and is beginning to think she’ll never have a family of her own. When an American stranger approaches Caroline with a marriage proposal that resembles a business contract, she quickly accepts. She doesn’t expect romance. But she does expect to control each and every detail of their lives together. Because as life has taught her—if you aren’t in control, bad things happen.
…and you get romance Invertary style!
Josh and Caroline learn the hard way that falling in love isn’t something you can avoid. And it definitely isn’t something you can control. Their well laid plans are about to degenerate into chaos, as they fall in love the Invertary way.

A sweet story that takes place in a quirky Scottish town. Josh wants an arranged marriage. He meets Caroline and is convinced she will be the ideal fit. Throw in celebrity stalkers and then the characters falling in love made this an entertaining read.
Totally unrealistic but a good book to read at the beach
Great fun read. Made me laugh out loud.
This was fun reading.
This was quite a story. I like the way they each want their own thing, have their own agenda so to speak, but somehow it all winds up coming together. Very cute and happily ever after. Will definitely read this author again.
I kept reading on this book and the last of it was pretty cute. It wasn’t one of my favorites, however.
I wasn’t sure I’d finish this book but I’m glad I read it to the end. Some of the kissing descriptions were a bit over the top for my taste (pun intended) but they were easy enough to skim or skip. It’s a romantic comedy and it delivered both romance and some comedy. There’s a side story about one of the characters parents which I enjoyed as well.
Predictable but a nice easy read.
the author took a tried and true formula and twisted it with wonderful engaging characters. I wasn’t tempted to check the ending to see if it was worth finishing, it was way worth it.
I loved the whole series and hope there is another one! Great story line , believable characters and a comfortable setting.
Characters well thought out.
Caroline is a repressed Scottish spinster accustomed to being in charge, and Josh is an international singing sensation. He decides he wants a no nonsense wife (reminiscent of his parents’ relationship) and picks Caroline. Not very plausible, but hey, we need a set up here. The development of their relationship, and efforts to have a wedding in a small town in Scotland without too much international press attention is entertaining, if occasionally implausible – but then what romance isn’t? A well written, fun read.
I liked this book a lot, great chemistry.
Love, love this book.
This is a fun book with well written and likable characters. I enjoyed the entire series.
The main female character was totally unlikable. So predictable. Scared but stubborn virgin meets playboy. Playboy and virgin clash. they break up, they get together.
Yawn.
Fun read
Enjoyed tremendously. I laughed, cried, and truly enjoyed myself.
Fun to read. Interesting, but somewhat predictable, plot. Loved the old men’s group and how the fit into the story.
I loved this book, not your typical romance
