A desperate princess determined to escape the shadow of her past. A thief who never expected to steal her royal heart.
When Princess Isabella hires a jewel thief to steal the famous Leonioro necklace from her own family, she plans to use the proceeds to start a new life beyond the influence of her overbearing mother. She never expects to fall for the thief. She certainly never expects to … never expects to discover that her so-called thief is actually Prince Marco of Galdarnia, younger brother of the man to whom Isabella is supposedly betrothed.
Throw in attempted blackmail, an accidental baby, and the risk that if she steps out of line someone might die, and Isabella’s life is admittedly a hot damn mess.
And yet, still no one can see past the perfect princess facade to the real woman within. No one except Marco, that is. He sees beyond the facade, and he likes what he sees. A lot. The only thing is, Marco enjoys life on the wrong side of the law. He’s addicted to the adrenaline rush.
If Marco hooks up with Izzy, will they bring each other completely undone? Or will their liaison teach this couple that sometimes, being accepted for who you really are, is more important than being perfect?

As a matter of fact, her reputation is so fierce it has traveled all over Europe. Isabella, aka Izzy, is the youngest of those three children, the first two being sons and the oldest now King. This story had me going through hoops waiting to see where Jen Katemi would take us with the story. The chemistry between these two is almost instantaneous and yet neither want any ties or obligations. The story flowed so easily I finished before I was really ready for the happy for now ending. It’s well worth the read yáll.
Great storyline and character development made this book a hot and enjoyable read!

Third in series but reads as a stand-alone…
I haven’t read the first two in this series but intend to as this was SO compelling I didn’t want to move, even for a quick comfort break. Other-worldly royalty but with identifiable characters although the Queen was beyond recognition, manipulative & cruel to her offspring, especially to her youngest, a beautiful daughter who was desperate to escape. The heroine had a plan but could she succeed & find a new life, free to be whoever she wanted to be without the shackles that bound her. Hero to the rescue in the most surprising way. I received an arc & this is my honest & voluntary review.
Princess Perfect by Jen Katemi
This was a wonderful light read that left a happy glow after the end. I’m putting this on my ‘to be read again’ shelf.
This is the third and final book in her “Rich and Royal” series. The length is 96 pages which took me less than two hours to read, making it a moderately quick read. This is the only book of the series that I have read, but there doesn’t appear to be a story arc for the whole series, which is tied together by the three royal siblings and other reoccurring characters appearing throughout the books though each sibling gets to be the main character in their own book. It can be read as a stand-alone, but you would probably enjoy it better if you read the series in order. There is a lightly moderate amount of adult language. There are also explicit scenes which range from moderately explicit to kind of vague. This was a very well-edited book as I only found one maybe two typos in the whole book – a truly uncommon occurrence in recent books. That alone made the book so enjoyable to read.
This is basically a royal meets royal trope with a HEA. The story was a bit simplistic but really good, and the characters were appropriately portrayed with a bit more depth to the main characters than I am used to reading in a book of this length. The scenes were nicely described though I would have liked a little more to set the atmosphere of the scene. The story includes blackmail, accidental pregnancy, love, friendship, trying to be oneself, two handsome princes, and romance. Usually a book of this length tends to be a ‘love at first sight’ since there isn’t time for romance to develop, but that is not the case here. Ms. Katemi managed to do what most authors can’t and allowed her characters to fall in love.
Overall, it was a very enjoyable story. Everything fit well together with no deficiencies – it was just right. I give it an A (5 stars).
I was given an ARC of this book in the hopes that I would voluntarily leave an honest review.
Princess Perfect is the third novella length story in Jen Katemi’s Rich and Royal series and readers familiar with this series would have been wondering what Ms Katemi had in store for the younger sister of Kas and Dav. Being raised in the royal household was hard enough when their father lived; but since his death, the Dowager Queen has done everything in her power to control her offspring’s lives. Kas and Dav have stood their ground, but as the only daughter, Isabella has been looked upon as spoilt and compliant, when all she desires is independence and freedom.
Princess Perfect is a well-written account of the effect the pressures of royal life can have, and the self-esteem issues that arise from years of derision and verbal abuse. I loved Damon and Marco’s characters and the interactions between Marco and Isabella were sizzling, but also heartfelt. I have thoroughly enjoyed all the books in this series and would definitely recommend reading them in order.

PRINCESS PERFECT is the third novella in Jen Katemi’s contemporary, adult RICH AND ROYAL erotic, romance series focusing on the Royals of Leonoria. This is twenty four year old Princess Isabella of Leonorio and Prince Marco of Galdarnia’s storyline. PRINCESS PERFECT can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous instalments is revealed where necessary.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Isabella and Marco) PRINCESS PERFECT focuses on the hunt for a suitable husband for our heroine Princess Isabella of Leonoria but Isabella wants nothing to do with an arranged marriage and has made plans of her own to escape the past. A difficult childhood haunted by unforgiving memories has Isabella devising a way to run from her royal responsibilities including meeting Crown Prince Damon of Galdarnia, a prince whose own secrets are about to implode. Meeting Damon’s younger brother Marco stirred something deep within our storyline heroine, a kindred spirit with a man who has known his fair share of boredom and questionable antics, waiting in line as the spare to the heir. What ensues is the quick building romance and sexual relationship between Isabella and Marco, and the potential fall out as their time together is about to be exposed.
PRINCESS PERFECT is a fast paced, entertaining and captivating novella. I have not had the opportunity to read the previous two instalments but little hints about Isabella’s two new sisters in law let me know there are some interesting stories of which I will have to read. The premise is engaging; the romance is spicy; the characters are colorful, energetic and trying to find their place in the family.
Trying to have a life of her own.
This is the third book in the series and this one is about the third child Isabella the youngest and only girl. Her mother is the Dowager Queen and loves to control and bully her children. But with the boys married she is after controlling Isabella life. She decides to have a priceless heirloom stolen so that she can run far away and live her life her way. When they have royalty visiting her mother sets her sight on the oldest son as her betrothed but it’s Marco the younger brother that catches her eye. He’s a danger junky and he can see the real Isabella and not the perfect Princess that sge has to show. Will they find a way to be together either with or without her family’s approval? I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

Of the stories in the Rich & Royal Series I like this story the best. Isabella/Izzy is a bit innocent in many regards. Her mother and her family has forced her into this very narrow world where she is expected to act like the perfect doll. Her mother is a piece of work and has controlled Isabella with guilt for most of her life.
Marco is the second son and is not expected to be more than window dressing while supporting his brother the heir apparent. Isabella’s mother wants nothing more than to join her kingdom with Galdarnia’s and is more than willing to sacrifice Isabella to gain a new ally.
Isabella hatches a scheme to gain control of her life in an unorthodox fashion and Marco is her accomplice.
Izzy is a mix of innocence and steel, she has always longed to take charge of her life and has shut herself down to survive. It was great to see her grow and get more confident. Marco due to him being the spare heir has been a bit more restless and has resorted to playing a dangerous game of stealing from his hosts.
While these two have nice chemistry and mesh well together for me this book is missing the magic and intensity that I normally associate with this writer. Out of respect for those higher caliber books I can’t rate this higher than 3 and a half stars.
