What an excellent read!!! Will is who we all are in some shape or form. He has lost the most important person in his life and has to figure things out on his own. No everyone going through a zombie apocalypse will become part of a big group or even a small group. Will is doing it all on his own, well, with a little help from his friend Brian. The story has it all. You see the MC grow, you get the action and gore we all love in this genre. You get some twists, good ones, bad ones and a really awesome one, but I’ll let you read it to find that one out. Now I eagerly await book 2.
First time reading this author but will not be my last! This book starts out kinda slow but thank goodness I stuck with it. Once the book took off and got over talking about his mental illness the story seemed to pick up with non stop action. Will is an average person with no knowledge of how to survive this out break. He learns quickly and I can not wait to see how this series develops. I recommend this series to anyone looking for a new take on zombie books. I loved the new characters that were introduced in this book. Oh yeah and I love the dogs. Get the book and then leave your review. Thank you for using Kindle Unlimited.
This was a superb book. Well written, edited, and just plain wonderful. I loved Will as a character. His various ticks just made him more relatable. His adventures and thought processes felt real, and the dogs added to the plot, rather than detracted from it. I would absolutely recommend this to any zombie book lover!
I absolutely loved it. Great read! Had my heart racing, laughed at the mental health side as it was so relateable. Lovely storyline with some awesome plot twists. Couldn’t even guess what was coming next!
Cannot wait to read more!
An exciting story with a character more real and human than I’m used to.
We watch a character filled with real world, actual flaws and challenges as he develops into a true survivor.
This is an excellent introduction to this new world and I’m really looking forward to the next book!
Will never thought he’d face the end of the world on his own. His husband, Frank, is out of town for business when the most disturbing video’s are being shown on TV. The last time they spoke on the phone Frank was trying to get back home, this has been weeks ago. Will searched the internet and found a manifest written by Brian. He manages to print Brian’s words before the power goes out. Will finds great comfort in the useful rules Brian put in his book. This has helped him survive for all this time. Can Will find a way to stay in his safe haven?
Will is mentally unstable and is struggling with OCD. He knows he has to find a new routine to keep himself sane and to get through the days. He has two dogs who help him a lot. With each passing day Will has to re-invent himself. He has to find new ways to get supplies and must also accept the horrible decision to eventually leave the home he shared with Frank. Will has always been a kind and caring man but to be a survivor asks a whole new set of skills. Is Will able to do whatever it takes to stay alive?
The Dead Next Door is a gripping story about a man who’s not your typical survivor. I loved the fact that he really needed to evolve as a person in this new world. T.W. Smith created a brilliant new point of view when he chose Will to be his survivor. I was hooked from the very start and couldn’t wait to find out what would happen next. Will is not spared throughout the horrors of the zombie apocalypse and this made my heart skip a beat several times.
The Dead Next Door is blood chilling and is the first installment in the Will to Live series. I absolutely can’t wait to read the next book. T.W. Smith is an author I will absolutely continue to follow.
