What if happily ever after starts with a broken heart?
For Lacey Graham, this reality was way too real. When her plan to surprise her fiancé results in heartbreak, Lacey’s only option is to reset her mind and her life.
Landing in San Francisco, Lacey befriends an interesting co-worker, and is coaxed into joining an online dating site so that she can get back into the game.
Though hesitant, … into the game.
Though hesitant, Lacey once again puts her heart on the line and meets Kenneth – a man who’s good with his hands and apparently Lacey’s heart. Between passion-filled moments and tantalizing sensations, Lacey is convinced that Kenneth could be a wonderful complement to her new life. Yet nothing good comes easy.
Just as Lacey is getting comfortable with the idea of being swept away in Kenneth’s arms, a troublesome revelation rears its head. Someone is starting drama with the intent to destroy Lacey’s new love.
The only question is, how hard will she fight for what she’s always wanted?
San Francisco Love is an interracial romance with a guaranteed Happily Ever After!

Lacy went through a terrible heartbreak after catching her boyfriend Melvin in the bed with her best friend. To make matters worse, she was expecting his baby. Lacy admitted her part in the breakdown of their relationship. They reached out to talk, but she decided she didn’t want anything to do with neither one of them.
Lacy moved to San Francisco for a better job opportunity. She took notice of the interracial relationships and thought about how it wasn’t something she was into. Lacy immediately met some new friends who also lived in the same building. They decided to go out that same night to a local bar.
Lacy finally begins to start dating, and she goes for a guy who isn’t her typical type. She starts to fall for Kenneth. Things were going well until he vanished for three weeks. When he returned, he was honest with her about his disappearance. They were getting on track with their relationship until someone from his past finds out.
This was a great story, and I cant wait to see what is going to happen next. Will Lacy ever get her happily ever after? Will she regret going outside of her normal relationship standards. Although I enjoyed the story and characters, I did not like that it ends in with a cliffhanger.

Looking for A New Love?!
This heroine was very mature and handled a devastating occurrence with aplomb. She moves on from her pain and starts afresh in San Francisco where she begins her new dream job. She gets off to a good start when she meets a few neighbors and they bond over drinks and working at the same company. She eventually meets a guy and they seem to connect and we get to know the H/h as individuals. Ends on a cliffhanger.

Told in alternating POV the reader follows multiple characters actions and trains of thought through this tale of relationships and second chances. It has one of the most civilized breakups I’ve ever read. I liked that Lacey is independent, smart and sexy. She recovers well from a heartbreak and is considerate in thought and deed. Unfortunately there are people close to her that are not so caring. Sometimes the story felt a little confusing in terms of setting/time passing. It ends on a cliffhanger that should be noted in the author’s blurb. I’m curious enough to see how this ends in the next book.
.
A book by an Author I have not read before. A good story, but I wish I had known it was going to end on a cliff-hanger. I will be watching for the next part to this story. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

The main reason I’m only giving this book four stars is because it’s a cliffhanger, which I don’t like very much. If I’d had some warning, that would have been appreciated, but since I didn’t, I took a star away. Now, for the writing. This is actually a good story. Lacey is a successful black woman and she’s engaged to Melvin. She gets home early from work and catches Melvin and Denise, her best friend, in bed together. Looks like she’ll be heading to San Francisco for her new job without Melvin. Things go pretty quickly in the story and she makes new friends at her job and in her apartment complex. Amber is one of those friends, but is she a friend or foe? Lacey gets on the dating app, recommendation from Amber, San Francisco Love, and starts dating Kenneth DuPont, a white successful auto body shop owner. Things progress quickly in the storyline and they see each other frequently, except for the three weeks he ignored her. When he comes back around, he tells her he had to end things with someone else he was seeing, but they never had sex during the six months they were dating, yeah, sure they didn’t, lol. I won’t say anything else about the story, except I need book two NOW, lol. I want to know what happens, hopefully this year.

I loved this story. I liked the fact that even though Lacey’s world exploded when she found her fiance cheating she didn’t let it define her. Moving to San Francisco for her new job she met quite a few interesting people. From the start I was not to sure about Amber but we will see how it plays out. I like Kenneth and Lacey together I hope they don’t let people come between them. I can’t wait to see how this story ends.
This is a very well developed story! The main characters are interesting and personable. even though we don’t meet the hero until about halfway thru the book, it feels like enters the story at the perfect time. I love that the characters work up to their relationship. There’s also a great group of minor characters keeping the story interesting. The story has great build up; but leaves you hanging.

Lacey is finally getting her life back in order after catching her fiancé and best friend in a compromising situation. Moving to a new city with a new job helped her to put her life in perspective. She even met and made a few friends. When she met Kevin things really took off but now that they have made commitments, his past is coming back and it looks like she is not going to leave without a fight. Is this the beginning of the end for Kevin and Lacey?
