The snark is strong with this pair, and I loved every snappy sarcastic moment of the story. On the surface, Ben and Lori seem like total opposites, but both of their gooey marshmallow hearts aren’t buried very deep beneath those surfaces. As they peel back the layers and get to know one another, it doesn’t take very long for them to realize the initial hate-hate reaction they each had was maybe a bit over the top. I had so much fun watching this pair fall for one another. The grandparents are a riot and have some of the best parts in the book. But by far my very favorite part of this story was the absolutely and utterly adorable ending. I’m not ready to let any of these characters go yet.
I received a complimentary copy of this book through Booksprout.
I highly recommend Rich Amooi’s Just Another Silly Love Song as a great COVID-19 de stressing novel. Lighthearted, romantic, humorous – it takes you away for a few hours of delightful entertainment.
This story is just what I needed and wanted in today’s crazy world. It held my attention totally and made me feel happy, so what more could I ask for?
There are so many really witty and zany moments that one can’t help but keep on reading till the end, and what a beautiful ending it was!
The title may say “Just Another Silly Love Song” but the story is a definite “Number One Hit”!
Can you tell that I loved it?
I read an Advance Reader Copy (ARC) of the ebook and my voluntary review is honest and unbiased.
Easy to read, which is needed during this pandemic!
I loved this book. Rich is such an amazing writer, bringing wit and reality to all of his characters. What a treat to get out of my world at this time and into his for a while!
