In this book the author, Lance, had given us a series of actionable ideas and creative concepts for salespeople, in order to help increase performance and closing. From changing the mentality and attitude of your sales team, to strategies that focus on understanding the perceptions of the client, this book can help.
I especially loved chapters 8 & 9, in particular, the tips on dealing with objections and playing to the customer’s emotional interests.
Lance’s strategy is founded from years of experience and, I think, is incredibly adaptable. Recommend.

Such a great book! Easy to read, great flow, and filled with great tips and strategies. The author believes that selling is an away game because it happens in the mind of the buyer. You have put the buyer at the center of the sales process and meet their needs. It’s also filled with examples so he doesn’t just tell you a process, but gives a real life example of how it works…which makes it so applicable. The book is also filled with quotes (I love quotes), and one of my favorites in the book is, “Don’t confuse activity with results.” Highly recommend for anyone in sales…whether you’re just starting or a seasoned veteran.
Lance Tyson has a novel idea for the field of sales; he believes that a product’s appeal lies less in the value of the product, and more in how well you sell it. I do some selling myself, and I learned quite a bit from his book. It caused me to look at things through a different paradigm. I agree with him that “Can I help you?” is a useless question, and I will never use it again. Better to cut straight to the point with “Have you been here before?”
Having a psychology background, I also like his use of Maslow’s Hierarchy of needs to explain the psychology of consumer buying.
It’s no wonder that Lance Tyson is a leader in his field, and this strategy-driven book is a prime example of how he became just that. Great tips on how learning your customer’s viewpoints, and client’s motivations, will help you close deals. For those who want to become exceptional in sales, this book holds the key.

I seldom pick up books on selling, as I usually get my tools from conferences, but this book really gave me some useful ideas and strategy to sell and close better.
