Loved the book it was great, the story was well written and the characters are interesting. Madison comes from a battered marriage. Mac is the one that makes her heart flutter. Action, emotional rollercoaster.

Second chance , abusive relationship and PTSD.
This book have it all.
Two broken people getting a second chance . It was definitely engaging and heartbreaking. I definitely enjoy this book.
Not so sure about ending, so now I’m looking forward to the next book to find out how they resolve their issue for an HEA

This NC17 tale deals with PTSD, domestic and police abuse, touches on foster care, especially in a small town, and takes about a day to read.

This is a different side of author Ja’nese Dixon and I liked this thought-provoking story!
This story is dark and it’s not something we’re accustomed to from this author. In this story she explores the depths of what happens when love goes wrong, and when it goes right. I’d definitely like to read more Madison Grove (love) stories from this author.

They say, Destiny is what you make of it.
Well in this book Destiny is more than a journey. Destiny and Mac were destined to be together. Their chemistry is so awesome and the fact that they face so many obstacles from each other’s past. This book had me looking for my own pistol.
I really enjoyed reading this book and I am definitely looking forward to seeing more.

A woman on the run finds support and a second chance in her childhood home. Is she finally safe?
I liked this story. It is a page-turner! The deadline that Destiny set for herself helped maintain the reader’s level of tension and suspense.
It is told in various first person accounts (Destiny, Ryan, Ethan, her sister, etc.)
Emotional, realistic, sweet, with the right amount of intimacy. Destiny is a survivor – learning, evolving and fulfilling her dreams. I loved the way Ethan protected her and gave her room to grow. A beautiful love story for 2 people who deserve peace and happiness. (I hope Chris and Faith get their own story.}

This was a great story although I wish it had more. Some of the timelines and explanations didn’t make sense and were confusing. I love Mac and Destiny and could sense their attraction and connection from the beginning. But the explanations of their past and moving forward was where it didn’t make sense. There are some dark moments since they have pasts to get through but they push through it. I wish there also would have been a better ending or epilogue for them.

Destiny Mitchell is running from an abusive relationship. On her way to a new life, she makes a temporary stops in her hometown. Ethan Mckenzie is a retired military veteran who is adjusting to life. There is attraction when they meet but past holds them back a bit.
Ja’Nese does a perfect job of describing Destiny’s emotions and reactions to situations she encounters. A bit of suspense but page turner read.

This was a pretty good read about two people who are damaged in their own ways but find each other and help the other one heal. Mac is just who Destiny needs after everything her abusive ex did to her but can he fight and move past his own demons so they can have their HEA.
What a theme for a book. Destiny is being held prisoner and abused by her cop boyfriend and his fellow cop friends do nothing to help her but are amazed at his antics.
I was thrilled when she escaped, finding the needed strength to get away. She runs home.
Mac is home working at his family’s junkyard business. He’s a Marine who us dealing with the demons of his last mission.
When Mac sees Destiny the attraction is instant, but can they survive both their past?
I was little disappointed in the ending, as Dez doesn’t really get any justice from her captures.
I will say the only disappointment I had in the book was the editing, or lack there of. This us unusual for thus author.
I was given this book for an honest voluntary review
This couple definitely deserves true love and some happiness. They both also have some serious emotional issues that they are dealing with. I really wish Destiny had not been so helpless before and even after. Since they have history, their romance is fast. Mac is drawn to her instantly and their mutual chemistry is intense. I enjoyed reading about them and I look forward to reading more about Destiny and the plight of her sisters. The ending had a twist that definitely shocked me. I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation from the author.
