I fell in love with this book almost immediately!! The story is so unique but the main plot is still an epic love story!! Suspense, action, and chemistry! What more can you ask for!?! I cannot wait to see more of this world and more from this author!!
Mating Season by Yael Mariee is set in a Dystopian world: much like Hunger Games or Divergent. Men and women live on separate islands and are only allowed together during the Mating Season – a period of 7 days. I think that this book has an interesting premise. In a world where people are not allowed to pair up with only one person, can true love blossom? I wasn’t a huge fan of the heroine Ariel. I felt that there were times when she acted too childishly. But I grew to adore the hero Ben. He has a love and faithfulness for Ariel that is compelling. “Without thinking, her lips were on his, urgent and needy. The stolen kiss from years back, his to return and hers to claim. But they were not thirteen anymore and the kiss was not innocent. It was fire and wilderness and lust and need all mixed into one. Years of pent-up desire spilled in a tangled frenzy of tongues. She drowned in his skin and his touch, and when she broke away, she saw Ben for the first time.” There are several steamy sex scenes, but not as many as I would have thought in a book entitled Mating Season. I think Maree hits a home run with this story. Even though it resembles the Hunger Games and Divergent, it is creative enough to stand on its own two feet. I was given a copy of this book.
I absolutely loved this book! I couldn’t stop reading it and hated for it to end. Ben and Ariel have a true love and connection. I couldn’t imagine the pain the mothers of sons faced. It broke my heart for them. I wish Mama Beth would have survived but I understand doing anything to protect your child. I highly recommend this book to anyone that loves romance. Although this book isn’t your typical romance story
I really liked this book. I found it had a unique premise and that it was well written with great characters. Best of all, there’s a sequel.
This story has a little of everything, sweet romance, sexy overbearing and frustrating alpha males and a beautiful woman who has the right heart and spirit. Thoroughly enjoying and entertaining.

What an excellent book, I loved all of it. Once I started it I literally only stopped to use the bathroom, eat some noodles and I did need some sleep, since I have the flu. I was completely engrossed in this book and the characters. Some of the characters were so much more, until the end. The love between Ben and Ariel is beautiful, pure and selfless. I wish this book was longer. Give this one a shot, it’s really great.
This was an interesting tale. Love and family were the driving forces behind the changes Ariel and Ben wanted and demanded. I enjoyed the relationship development between Ariel and Ben, despite all the obstacles put before them. There were moments of violence and such which may trigger some people, so be warned. The ending was worth the ride.
I received a copy of this story through Yours Truly Book Services, and this is my unsolicited review.

I enjoyed this dystopian romance. I love reading about ways that our society will survive or not. This was very creative and thoughtful. I loved Ben and Ariel. I cried and worried about how this would end. I was satisfied. I do want to see more of the men’s side from Bens POV. I recommend this book.
