I was a Princess of the Stars. I had everything, or so it seemed.
On the Generation Ship I was a socialite. My life was lived in the public eye. It was great, on the outside. Everyone wanted me or wanted to be me.
Then we crashed.
Here we humans have a dragon-alien protector. The way he looks at my former ship-mate Riley is the one thing I never had. A man who saw me.
Not the glitz, the … had. A man who saw me.
Not the glitz, the glamorous world, the money. Me.
Now I’ve been kidnapped by a member of the evil Order. The group that want human females to breed. But… the way he looks at me. Could it be my kidnapper actually sees me? Or will he take me to the Order where I’ll face a fate worse than death?

5 Stars!
Ziva David but no Gibbs?
Anyway, Ziva was one of the elite travelers when their ship crashed. She’s had a hard time adjusting to their new circumstances, and then she meets Rakstan who spirits her away. From one dire situation, she ratchets from wanting him to complete incompetence to a good helpmate to princess mode. In other words, just like we would if we had crashed on a strange planet and then stolen. This is an exciting tale, and Rakstan is a conflicted hero. Definitely moves the story along!
Another of The Order’s dragon finds his treasure! There is a group of Zmaj dragon warriors who believe totally in The Eye who controls them. Little do they know he is a liar and is concealing his real intention from the Order. Rakstan finds his treasure in Ziva and only then realizes the level of deceit from the Eye. He joins Angota in leaving the Order and protecting all the humans, not just his treasure.
Ziva finds drama, excitment and love on the Red Planet
by sewsummore
As this is the second book in the series, I would advise you to read the first book first for better understanding and clarity. Ziva is one of the women who crash-landed on the Red Planet. When enemy warriors captured her, she escaped with the help of a warrior named Rakstan. He had seen her several times previously but had never tried to harm her because he had been conflicted by the lies his leader had told. When she was in danger, he had to act, and together they both escaped only to be recaptured later. I found this story confusing at first since I had not read the first book, but by the end of the story, I was able to work out what had gone before. They were able to free themselves, and after meeting up with the rest of the humans were able to find sanctuary, but their story continues in the next book with more exciting events to be revealed.

I love a series that builds and builds a world, and Ziva’s Prince continues to expand on all the many intertwined elements of Martin’s alien planet of Tjass. This second book in the Red Planet Jungle series further explores what’s happening with the mysterious Order and the impact of the arrival of humans on Tjass. This time, we follow Ziva, who’s basically the generation ship’s equivalent of a celebrity influencer. Growing up as a member of the family that’s the “royalty” of the ship, her every move, both good and bad, is followed in extreme detail. It’s made her cautious, lacking trust in people and their intentions. Rakstan, on the other hand, is the primary instructor for the Order, training young dragons how to fight, and he’s a true believer in the plans of the Order—until he encounters Ziva.
I loved how both Ziva and Rakstan grow in this book. Rakstan had to give up his utter belief in the Order, and Ziva had to learn to trust people. Rakstan gains through his belief in Ziva, and his devotion to her gives her the confidence to reach out to others. But what I loved is that these adjustments didn’t fundamentally change them. Ziva remains a bit haughty, and Rakstan still mentally critiques the fighting techniques of his fellow members of the Order even after he’s abandoned them for Ziva.
Ziva’s Prince builds nicely on the story in Red Planet Dragons of Tjass, especially in showing how the small band of humans on the southern continent are surviving, but not yet thriving. With only one dragon-man, Angota, to help them, they’re basically managing day to day. When Rakstan feels the overwhelming pull to Ziva as his mate, the group begins to gain an advantage, which is great for moving the story in new directions. I can’t wait to find out where the story goes next!
Really loved reading about Ziva and Rakstan! Ziva was not a nice person on the ship, however since crashing she is having to change her thinking and attitude. Rakstan is a devoted warrior of the Order until he finds his treasure! This is the second story in the prequel series. Looking forward to more!

I am so excited to see that this book will start from the beginning of the generational ship’s demise! The previous books were about a few groups who learned how to survive on the planet Tajss – a desert planet. However, there is a part of the planet that is jungle and this group crash landed there. They are on the run, trying to stay out of the clutches of The Order. Ziva, is bathing in a pond when she is discovered by Rakstan. He doesn’t want to turn her over to The Order so eventually he steals her away and they have to keep on the run. This is as good as any of the Red Planet Tajss book and I recommend highly!

Decisions, decisions, decisions…
Ziva’s Prince is quite the love story. On the generation ship, Ziva was born to wealth, social prominence, and pursuit by the tabloids. As a crash survivor on Tajss, she’s ill-equipped to deal with being one of the girls. She’s desperately loving for a REAL relationship …but, with a Zmaj? Zackstan, life-long loyal member of The Order, falls bjass-over-lochaber in love with Ziva. SHe’s his mate, his one-and-only, his Treasure. He agonizes internally about betraying the Order and choosing her, but every wild and crazy fight/flight/adventure that comes along – a whole book full – where his Treasure is, there is his heart also. Oh, and the betrayal thing? The Order hasn’t been totally upfront with its loyal followers – and now battle lines are being drawn… STAY TUNED! Miranda Martin’s latest Zmaj/human pairing is a sexy feel-good go for HEA. And the beginnings of a Tom Clancy-ish political thriller. AND a Mission-Impossible-meets-Survivor tale of jungle escapes from a slew of species. Yup. It’s that good. This is a voluntary ARC review.
I had a great time reading the storyline and getting to know the characters. The are amazing and the storyline was greatly entertaining with plenty of steam and twists to satisfy my reading needs. I look forward to reading more by this author.

This book 2 in the Red Planet Jungle Series is a well-written book of a woman who was a socialite and in the spotlight and now she was to be in a breeding program. These exceptionally crafted characters in these books have more depth as the series goes on, not to say they did not at first. This series is much more than one couple, it is how the a group needs breeders to survive. Rakstan, a warrior for the Order, is sent by their leader to collect the women for they need them for breeding. Rakstan takes one look at Kiva and knows she’s his mate but to claim her he has to go against his orders. She does not think he sees her though, can they make it work. I loved this story and is a must read

Book two in the Red Planet Jungle series a well written story that held my interest until the end. Ziva and Rakstan’s story. This series just gets better with each new book. I want to read the next book. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I didn’t read the first book in this series so I was a little lost in the beginning and I had a harder time to connect with the story. I loved her previous books (Red Planet Dragons 1 & 2) but this one about Kiva and Rakstan though well written, with romance, the character Kiva took me a while to like. So if Miranda had that in mind she hit it on the nail. Kiva, a upper class like star princess, who influenced those around her is thrust into a new life after the ship crashed on Tass. Rakstan, a warrior for the Order, is sent by their leader to collect the women for they need them for breeding. Rakstan takes one look at Kiva and knows she’s his mate but to claim her he has to go against his orders. Can Kiva learn to live it rough for Rakstan’s love? Will Rakstan fight to keep Kiva? In the end I did find this a enjoyable story with enough romance to keep flipping the pages to the end. I volunteer to read and review this ARC via Booksprout.
When the Generation Ship crashed, everyone’s life totally changed. Ziva’s glamorous, glitzy, socialite life was over where everyone admired the bigger-than-life woman they thought she was. She enjoyed the notoriety, but it was all fake. Now, with their ship forced to crash on the planet, they are taken captive by the Order, aliens who want the human females for breeding purposes so that their line will survive. She notices that one of the aliens looks a special way at Riley, one of her ship-mates, like he really sees the real “her”, the person she is, and Ziva envies her that gift.
Rakstan, a warrior for the Order, is sent by their leader, The Eye, to round up the women. Rakstan immediately reacts to seeing Ziva and wants her for his own. He knows that she is his mate. And Ziva, seeing how he looks at her, is wondering if Rakstan actually sees “her” like Angota saw Riley, his eyes only on her and no one else? Can he find a way to keep her? Can they be together? He doesn’t want to betray the Order, but he is not sure what will happen to her if they deliver her to the Order.
This was a good book that transports the reader to the planet Tajss where the dragon-like Zmaj live. What will happen to their human captives? Will they find a future with the Zmaj? Or will they wish only for escape from their fate?
Finding her Prince Charming
Like so many socialites, Ziva had it all while on the generation ship. Well, everything except for her Prince Charming. Now that they have crashed on a strange planet things start to look drastic. The survivors find themselves hunted by the Order. Rakstan is a member of the Order tasked with finding the survivors and bringing the women back. The first time Rakstan sees Ziva he finds that he can’t take her prisoner. Has Ziva found her Prince Charming or will he do as the Order instructs?

Wonderful! The Princess of the Generation ship meets an sexy alien Barbarian dragon! This is the first book by Miranda Martin I’ve read, but now I’m off to find more! I was simply enthralled with this book. Though this is the second in the series, I was able to easily follow the both the individual story and well as the overall series arc. Miranda Martin has created an incredibly vivid planet and society. These dragons are so fierce, so amazing! And I soooo want to know all the secrets that are being hidden! Can’t wait to read more!
