He’s an arrogant, celebrity warlord who thinks marriage and snot-nosed children sound like the lowest level of hell. She’s the filthy-mouthed daughter of a High Priest who wants LOTS OF KIDS.When their deck explodes they rush into the same executive escape pod and eventually crash-land together on a mysterious planet. Without food and water. Without any way to communicate with their ship. And … their ship. And most importantly, without Zhoryan’s gloves of the unmated. The one item that will prevent testing of mating compatibility.
And then they find out why it’s called ‘Ship-Trap Planet.’
Will Zhoryan be able to resist touching this female’s bare skin while being hunted by the psychopath who owns the planet?
And will Janet learn to love such an unbearable @$$hole?
Because, one touch is all it takes…
Author’s note: This is book #5 in the series, but can be read as a standalone. Be prepared to meet new friends and revisit old favorites…

An exciting and unpredictable part of this series, I was hooked from the first few pages. I already love this series, I’m a huge fan of Michele Mills and I”m working my way through all of her books. I loved this one because Janet is such an under-appreciated heroine. No one has ever given her her due, much like other middle born kids, like Jan Brady of the Brady Bunch, lol, the parallels are crazily on point. Her relationship with the other humans was contentious and the Xylan’s mostly consider the humans inconsequential. Zhoryan is the same until he is forced to spend time with Janet and then a friendship forms. They are thrust into a life or death situation, then another one, and another one, lol, and so on. I never lost interest in this story, I really hope there are more that follow this one!
I have read all Michelle Mills’ Bounty Hunter series books and love love them. This latest installment did not disappoint. It was a fun read I could not put down. Can’t wait for further stories in the series.

Zhoryan’s Game by Michele Mills is the fifth book in the Alien Bounty Hunters series. In this book, Janet is traveling from New Earth to another Xylan world to study Hydrology and Water Management at the University of Kolothan aboard a Xylan Warship. The commander in charge of the Xylan Warship is Zhoryan of eighty-two the Imperial Warlord of Sector one and her sister’s husband’s best friend. When Janet gets into a fight with one of her human companions then leaves the dining room abruptly Zhoryan follows her. While they are speaking the ship hits a space mine and the damage causes them to board an escape pod to survive. The pod leaves the ship and crashes on the nearest habitable planet which is what causes them to be stranded on a planet called ship trap planet. This is the beginning of how Zhoryan and Janet end up together as forever mates. This is a very entertaining story with interesting characters who are each unique. It’s the perfect read for anyone who likes an exciting alien love story. Zhoryan’s Game is a sweet and spicy alien love story.
Zhoryan of Eighty-Two is a warlord, a rock star warlord, that has females of all races drooling over him. Problem? He has sworn that he will never mate.
Janet is a scientist headed to an educational opportunity that will help her and the team solve New Earth’s water problems. She’s also a kick-ass fighter.
They get stranded on a “ship-trap” planet together, and neither of them have no-mate gloves! Mayhem ensues… The twists and turns of this story with their trying to stay alive while not touching each other will keep you reading late into the night! Bonus: Kayzon and Kia have a cameo!
Fun, fast and easy read. I loved Janet–she had a ton of personality and was way more than she seemed. Zhoryan really learned a lot from her. He was definitely a slow learner. The relationship between the two was the best part of the story. You could see both of them changing as the story progressed. This is part of a series and although it works as a standalone, if you enjoy this, you’ll enjoy the others and have a bit more of a world view. (I voluntarily reviewed and ARC).
I really enjoyed this series each couple are strong and valuable in their way. Great adventure sexy love scenes. Can’t wait to read the next book.

An insanely dangerous adventure!
I do so enjoy these Xylan males! They do seem a bit snobby, though, turning their noses down at pale-skinned humans.
Zhoryan has no plans to ever have a mate or children. Once he and Janet spend more time together, the big guy begins to fall. It’s a joy to watch the change in his attitude. The situation they encounter keeps them constantly on the run to survive. Janet is quite a woman. She is takes her future in hand by going against the traditions for women on her planet. She’s hardworking, dedicated, and strong enough to keep up with her somewhat reluctant protector. I love the story! Non-stop thrills, and a highly satisfying ending!
Again I’m in the middle of a series. This book was so good that I will get the other books to catch up. Zhoryan spent so much time denying to himself and everyone else that anything was going on between him and Janet. The two disagreed about everything until they finally clicked. They end up in an escape pod together and crash on a “Ship-Trap” planet. What fun they had. Great story. I received a free copy of this book am voluntarily leaving a review.
New Earth’s government was allowing five humans to be escorted by the Xylan military to Kolothan University for specialized academic training. But the guys munching on the food at breakfast were talking crudely about a woman that a couple of them had been with, and this was definitely not talk that would be appreciated by the Xylans. Xylans couldn’t physically mate until the spark of a bond was initiated between a male and his Bride through touch. Pleasure mating wasn’t a thing with them and could cause issues. And the Xylans had very good hearing! Janet looked up at the raised dais behind the glass where the Xylan senior officers were eating. Zhoryan of Eighty-Two, the handsome Imperial Warlord of Sector One, turned his head and briefly made eye contact with her from across the room and her stomach fluttered.
When one of the guys accused Janet of being there because of who her father was, things did not go well. She and Maksim had always had a snarly relationship, and now he jumped on the new information to blame her for stealing a man’s education opportunity when she would simply get pregnant and the training would have been wasted. He further stated her skills would also be wasted since a woman’s brain could not retain higher-level information the way a man could! Janet held her rage in and told him to take back what he said. Zhoryan was watching to see what was going on over at the human’s table. He failed to hear that his second-in-command, in order to save time, did not change their course around a planet known to bring down ships, figuring it was only superstition. When the alarms suddenly went off, Zhoryan and Janet were right in the epicenter of the damage and had to move into an escape pod or be drawn out into space. Their pod headed straight for the mystery planet.
Neither Janet nor Zhoryan were looking to be trapped together. But now their life would depend on their working as a unit to avoid being hunted down and killed on the planet. Things are complicated as they try to keep apart from each other because contact could trigger the mating bond. But even so, something seems to draw them together. Will they survive? Will they be rescued once their ship figures out what happened and comes after them? Can they avoid the mating spark which could greatly compromise and distract them from their survival?
This was a great action-packed story that kept the reader’s attention. What should have been a simple matter of transporting the humans to the University became complicated very quickly. The two strong characters of Janet and Zhoryan probably had the best odds of survival, if other factors do not put them at greater risk. Grab your copy and see how the story resolves!
Lessons in leadership and love
Meet Zhoryan. First Warlord and apex alpha warrior of the Xylan Empire. He epitomizes the true Xylan: all about caste, royal pigment, honor, and the Scales of Xylan Law. Definitely not one of those rebel Xylan Bounty Hunters (although fans of Michele Mills’ ABH series wil recognize him from an earlier book). Whether you think his stiff, overbearing, and dismissive attitude to others, especially humans, is excusable or egregious, one of the thrills in this thrilling and chilling alien romance is watching his character deepen and transform in the face of brutal betrayal and soul-deep love. Both of these come from unexpected quarters, and the Xylan who held himself above love, mating, children, and HEA finds himself fighting for all of the above – with a pale-skinned, human/Gravian hybrid female ally. Janet Cho respects Zhoryan far more than he deserves, and proves it with her loyalty, sheer human grit, and her emerging Gravian strength as they fight/flee for their lives from a most noble, murdering Xylan madman. Michele Mills make a doubt treat of this novel; the spine-tingling suspense of Zhoryan and Janet’s fight for survival combined with the unfolding insight and emotions (especially Zhoryan’s) that transform hard-ass and badass into hero and beloved. It’s an awesome story. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
It was so funny again, this warriors are so arrogant and full of them self, too funny. I love how at first everyone is very unimportant and after the compatible touch they are all over each other. This was again a nice short story with everything in it and a learning curve, that women are of course equal to men.

Honestly, (because I did promise an honest review), I almost put the book down after the first 5 pages… not exactly what I looked for in a book. However, I am so glad that I kept going past the first chapter because this book is truly fantastic! The world Ms. Mills created was wonderful and vivid, the characters grabbed you and kept hold of you until the very end. You will not regret reading this book!

I have been amazed with this series. It is one of few where each book can be read as a standalone. However, I do recommend the entire series. Janet and Zhoryan rocked. The relationship grew in a way I didn’t see coming. Ms. Mills has pushed boundaries, but oh how it works. A good chase makes for an absolutely awesome catch. Janet is a strong (believable) female. This book, I could not put down. I was so involved in the story that I just needed to know how things would turn out. Full of action and a lot of emotion, for both our main characters. You will feel like you are a part of that. I did enjoy catching up with the others from previous books. I really hope the series will continue. I’m sure there are many Xylan’s out there that need mates. Even if you have not read the others, grab this (it will make you want to read them). Just a must have! PNR and sci-fi romance readers alike will love it.
