From USA Today bestselling author Autumn Jones Lake comes the sizzling conclusion to Zero and Lilly’s story.
One by one, the lies have been unraveled.I’ve shed blood to protect Lilly. To protect our family.I’d do it again and again as long as it means she’s safe. It’s time to marry her, cherish her, and spend the rest of our lives together. We were so close to our happy ending. Then chaos swept it … safe.
It’s time to marry her, cherish her, and spend the rest of our lives together.
We were so close to our happy ending.
Then chaos swept it away.
The road ahead remains unknown.
Loyalty, honor, brotherhood.
Kings forever, forever Kings.
I’ll never betray my club.
Even if it means losing everything.
Zero Apologies is part three of Zero and Lilly’s trilogy and book #14 in the Lost Kings MC series. It is meant to be read after Zero Tolerance and Zero Regret.

What a fantastic story. The finale for Z and Lilly and Omgosh the wait was worth it!!!! Just when you think one thing is going to happen and you have it figured out….the author throws in a twist you don’t see coming! The struggles that Lilly went through wow, I had all the feels. Z is strong and with his LOKI family behind him, he’s got this!!! My actual favorite part is the epilogue!!!! I love these books and I love this series!!!!
OMG! Can this series get any better! I’m such a Wrath & Trinity fan, but Z & Lilly just stole my heart, too!! And I do love Rock & Hope, and Murphy & Heidi, and Teller & Charlotte, and Rooster! Again Autumn I love your Authors Notes!
A Worthy, Emotionally Rewarding Ending for Zero & Lilly… “Zero Apologies” is Autumn Jones Lake’s 18th installment and 14th full-length novel of her Lost Kings MC series. It is also the last in her trilogy devoted to club vice president, Angus “Zero” Frasier and Lilly. Albeit a slower, more reflective work than the previous two. This final book in Zero and Lilly’s story is a fitting one. One that will tug on your heartstrings and make you impatient for future books.
This one is thankfully paced a bit slower than the last one, “Zero Regrets”. However, it continues to be a suspenseful, heartfelt tale filled with surprises (both good and bad). Lake continues her superior character and plot development with another set of challenging downstate revelations and interactions (shady and otherwise) for Z to deal with, while simultaneously immersing him further beneath the emotional waters that surround him. Here again we are allowed to see the more personal, private side of Zero. An unexpectedly vulnerable, trepidatious man, fighting to protect what is his despite being unsure of what his future holds. Regardless of his downstate/upstate turmoil however, he remains steadfast in his devotion to the Lost Kings (LOKI) family, and his love for Lilly and Chance. He thoughtfully explores everything put before him, and via Lake’s heartfelt prose, we are afforded an emotionally gut punching front seat to all the soul piercing, thought provoking talks, decisions, twists, turns, and outright paradoxical moments contained within Z’s and Lilly’s world.
Furthermore, where the punishingly fast pace of the last book was a test of reading endurance; this installment will test your emotional endurance. Here, all of the ups and downs Lilly and Z have been through over the last three years, both individually and as a couple, come crashing together. And through Lake’s exceptional writing you feel deep in your soul, every aching, joyous, and terrifying moment of it.
By the end I couldn’t help my need to embrace Lilly and tell her she will indeed eventually heal. I couldn’t help but feel sadness for Z at the personal sacrifices he makes for the club and for the woman and son he loves.
But most importantly, by the end I had a much deeper understanding of the reality Z and the other LOKI brothers live in. The reality of what they’re expected to relinquish for the brotherhood of club life. Sacrifices that, superficially, appear to hog-tie the freedom they crave so desperately and make them indentured servants of the Lost Kings. But in reality, give them a true family, one only possible through the level of faith, trust, loyalty, and sacrifice that a brotherhood suck as LOKI affords.
A worthy, emotionally rewarding ending (for now) for Zero and Lilly and yet another astonishingly wonderful addition by Autumn Lake to her LOKI universe. I truly hope these books never end!
This is the final Z and Lily book, for now. Read on to find out how Z is willing to help keep his family safe but also help his club grow, even though soon he will be handing it back to another prez, and deal with the issues that have come up over the last few books. This is a fast quick read that will leave you wanting more, so hopefully Autumn won’t leave us hanging for to long.
This is a must read series!
Okay now I’m happy that we’ve gotten the 3rd book for Z and Lilly. The author kept having Z say that he wasn’t sure that he was already home in the downstate chapter. I get it but she’s breaking up the band. Z will always be a part of the upstate chapter. But it looks like the 2 might be combining in the future. Can’t wait for the next book in the series.
Zero and Lily have had their ups and downs but they weather it all…..but the journey you take with them keeps you turning the page and going back to re read them all again!
From the Blurb:
“Loyalty, honor, brotherhood.
Kings forever, forever Kings.
I’ll never betray my club.
Even if it means losing everything.”
My gosh. I think I started Zero Apologies with the tears already falling. Knowing how Zero Regrets ended, and where we are picking up Z and Lilly’s story, my heart started out already shredded. The tears never stopped rolling. Tears of heartache, injustice, happiness, frustration…you name them, I shed them. I love all of these characters sooooo much. Their loyalty, honor and brotherhood makes them ALL worth all of it. We have to trust their process, and Autumn’s .
Trust doesn’t come easy for Lilly these days. But she comes through with flying colors. I’m so freaking proud of her!!! Just as Hope, Trinity, Heidi and Charlotte have shown their loyalty to the club, so has Lilly.
Z knows he can trust Rock, Wrath, Teller and Murphy. But his downstate officers….eh it’s not easy. It’s going to take time, but his time is up. Thankfully upstate will ALWAYS have his back, no matter what happens. Can they trust Lilly? Honestly, I think I fell a little more in love with Rock with all that happens in this book. I know, I know, it’s Z’s book, but Rock has been, and always will be my fav.
Autumn ties this book up all nice and pretty with a big, blue bow at the end. Huge thanks to her and Mr. Lake for all of their hard work in this series! They truly are #couplegoals and I am a fan for life!!!
I love love love Z and Lily!! This ending to their story was perfect! The peek at all the new kids at the end had me going crazy to figure out who’s is who but it just adds more anticipation for the future books! So many things happened in this book, I can’t even write about them all. Lily showed her grit and ballsiness in being a fantastic old lady and her love and devotion to Z as she stayed by his side. There are too many things I don’t want to spoil for readers so I will just say that this book was as phenomenal as the rest and spending more time with the LOKI gang feels like home to me! I love the MC world Autumn’s created for her readers and never want it to end! Fabulous job!
Zero Apologies was worth the wait for me! Loved seeing the side of Z that Lily brings out! This has to one of my favorite MC series. And I’m dying here knowing I have to wait till December for the next book!! I am soooo thankful Autumn Jones Lake has more LOKI in store for us!
This is conclusion to Z and Lilly’s trilogy. And it was well worth waiting for.
I loved Z and Lilly together. They were just perfect for each other. You could tell how they felt about each other.
We also got some answers we all wondered.
Autumn Lake Jones did amazing as usual.
I can’t wait for more.
This picks up where Zero Regret left off with Z dealing with obstacles resulting from previous club business. He & Lilly have had some bad timing when it comes to their relationship but in this book we see them both work through things as they try to stay together. Once committed, they both work together in finding their way in the new roles they have found themselves in.
Autumn Jones Lake has done it again!!! I loved Zero Apologies so much I couldn’t put it down. It was the perfect addition to one of my Favorite series Z and Lilly’s story was Amazing! Thank you Autumn for bringing these characters to life can’t wait to read more
This is book 14 in Lost Kings MC and the 3rd book in Z’s story. Must read in order to fully enjoy the series. I was so happy to see how things worked out for Z and Lilly. I really enjoyed seeing all the other characters from past books in here as well. It’s always nice to read a new story and it builds on the previous one it makes you feel as if you’re apart of the story. Can’t wait to read more from this author.
Zero Apologies was the perfect conclusion to Z and Lilly’s story. Angus stole my heart the moment he walked onto the page and flashed his dimples! Autumn made us wait for his story, but his trilogy was the worth the wait!
I have loved Z journey and evolution throughout this series. It wasn’t always easy but Z had to learn what was really important in life. I loved how he was always willing to self-reflect on his past and was willing to do the work to be a better person to everyone around him. He proved himself a true leader! One who leads by serving and not living to be served.
I also have to say I loved Lily in this book as well! She held her own in some very difficult times. She did it all with strength, grace, and vulnerability. I loved how she was real and raw in some very tough situations and she didn’t try to fake her way through. She admitted her fears which allowed her to work through them. Her path felt real and honest through this whole series and I applaud Autumn for creating such a wonderfully real character.
What I love most about this series is every time I open up a book, It feels like I’m coming home! I hope autumn never stops writing this world and I can’t wait for what the future holds for these characters
*****Author Provided A Review Copy*****
Once again, Autumn Jones Lake, wrote the perfect ending for Z and Lilly. She also introduced new characters, that I feel sure will have their own story somewhere down the line. I have never been disappointed reading any of this series!
I met Zero and Lilly about 5 years ago. That’s when I met the Lost Kings MC. The minute they landed on the page I knew without a doubt they belonged together, forever. They took their sweet time getting there, but here we are …. But here’s the thing, Autumn never stops building her world or her people so this isn’t really a conclusion, more like a fork in the road for the Lost Kings MC and a pause of focus on Z and Lilly. And it is for that very reason I find myself telling you for the umpteenth time, none of these books are standalones and anyone that tries to tell you that they are just ridiculous. The brotherhood/family of the Lost Kings MC is as important as the journey of any two people in one of these books. You cannot just start with Z and Lilly, for example. I mean you can, but that’s just dumb. So don’t.
There’s not much to say about this particular bundle of words LOL If there is anyone out there that didn’t realize Z and Lilly would end up married and living HEA after they finished Zero Tolerance just wasn’t paying attention. I myself knew it after I read Slow Burn lol However, their lives are not smooth sailing and that’s what these last two books have really been about. That’s what most of the books are about if I’m being honest. Autumn can layer a journey like nobody’s business. The woman is ridiculously good at her craft. I have never read a series this deep in books without some misstep at some point … There are no missteps in the now eighteen books that comprise The Lost Kings MC. NONE. Let that sink in for a second …. Yeah, that’s something, right?! So if you’re new to this author, get to reading because it is an epic ride no one should miss.
One last thing I’m gonna say is about a particular circumstance in this book. I can’t explain in detail because, spoiler, but those of you that are fans will know what I’m talking about. If you’re surprised at the geographical portion of the ending of this story, quit not paying attention!!
Z and Lilly’s newest book is here! I may have done a spectacularly awkward happy dance when I saw it had hit my Kindle.
In Zero Apologies Autumn Jones Lakes wraps up all the loose ends that have been hanging around since book one, Zero Tolerance. Her books don’t leave us with a cliffhanger, (I prefer to call them happy for now endings) but she always gives us a little something extra to think about and the end of Zero Regret is no different. Don’t worry though Autumn does what she always does so brilliantly and guides us through to our happy place.
I know there were a lot of readers excited for Z’s story, and I have to say I was indifferent before. I felt like I didn’t connect with Z enough to be begging Autumn to write his book next. I am happy to report that after this trio of books, I have fallen in love with this tattoed alpha and his feisty siren.
The Lost Kings Series is more than a book about an outlaw motorcycle club, it’s about a family, and each book is like coming home.
I just finished reading this book and I am completely in a Zero & Lilly induced fog. Hmmm crush swoon!! I absolutely LOVE Z & Lilly!
AJL never fails to provide incredible entertainment with her books. Not only does she give us a captivating story, but she also gives us family. Her stories have a way of pulling you in with welcoming arms. You soon find yourself heavily immersed in the LOKI world and loving every minute.
Zero Apologies is a fantastic conclusion to the Zero & Lilly trilogy and continues to give us more awesome LOKI moments.
In this part of the trilogy Zero is continuing to oversee the downstate chapter and trying to figure out where he belongs. His heart is with his upstate LOKI family and with Lilly, but will Sway get better and return to the gavel? Will Priest ever let Zero return home? Zero has made so many changes to the downstate chapter, turning it around for the better, will he be able to walk away? And Lilly…. will she decide the life is too dangerous to raise a child? With Z in jail, is that the life she wants? Will she stay?
These two have some decisions to make and their biggest hurdle is really the same question for both of them. Where is home? While these two come to learn that home isn’t a location, but about people, AJL uses that time to strengthen the relationship between Zero and Lilly. These two finally share the good and the ugly and learn to trust.
“Sorry I’m so clingy today,” I mutter. Z roars with laughter while starting the car. “Baby, I’ve been praying for this for years. Cling away. It’s about time.”
“Nothing better that finding someone who loves your darkness as much as your light.”
“I’d rather have a bad day with you than a good day with someone else.”
Umm, swoon!
Not to be forgotten is the sizzling goodness AJL liberally sprinkles throughout the story. Lilly and Z definitely do steamy well!!!
I really admire a talented writer like AJL, who can with mere words, transport us into another realm. An alternate universe that is so detailed and encompassing that you feel you are there, a part of it. Feeling all the feels right along with the characters. In her books, the characters fully believe love, family, and loyalty are the foundation of everything. Those elements ooze from the pages, being proven by the endearing level of comradery between the LOKI brothers and their old ladies. I especially enjoy the playful, sibling like banter between characters, hilarious!!
Since this book is the conclusion for Z and Lilly there is no cliff hanger. Yet, in true AJL form she drops juicy snippets in the epilogue leaving us curious and eager for the next visit to our LOKI world. Looking forward to book #15!
“Zero regret, Lilly.” I brush a quick kiss over her lips. “Let’s do this.”
I read an ARC of this story. My fair and honest review is voluntary.
***Warning….this book is FIRE!!!*** Z and Lilly are explosive together! Make sure you have a bucket of ice water next to you because you’re definitely going to need to cool yourself down after reading those hot scenes. ***fanning myself*** Z is pure dominance and it’s sexy as sin.
It was nice to finally see Z get his happily ever after. For such a tough guy he sure is sweet and at times can be vulnerable especially when it comes to his emotions about being away from home. I love his loyalty to his family, especially the bond that him and Rock have. They both have grown a lot through this new journey and experience with having Z Downstate. At first I was nervous and I was getting anxious the closer I got to the end. But then I realized it doesn’t matter if Z stays Downstate or goes back Upstate because they are always going to be around each other, in constant contact and visiting each other. So no matter what happens they are still going to be a close knit family and we will still get to read and be with our favorite LOKI members, plus the Downstate crew really grew on me. Lily is a rockstar old lady. She handled herself through tough situations with class and never faltered. Her strength really shined in this book. She is the PERFECT old lady, especially for Z!
Autumn always writes the perfect amount of humor, angst, action, sexiness, and more in every one of her books. Can’t wait for more LOKI…looking forward to White Lies and all the other releases to come. Especially if it gives me more Rock! #RockisMYfox 😉
