Emergency landing. Uncharted planet. Erotic captivity of epic proportions. Right when Captain Alec Hamlin thinks it can’t get any crazier, his team is sold to their captors’ mighty sovereign. King Zercy of the Kríe. Ruler of the planet’s most formidable species. Man, is he imposing. So regal and larger than life. And way too savagely handsome for Alec’s liking. From the first moment he laid eyes … eyes on him, he knew the Kríe was trouble, knew he needed to steer clear of him at all costs. But when Zercy chooses Alec to be his personal pet, all plans to dodge the male fall by the wayside. Alec is forced to spend each evening in the alluring king’s company, each night bound to the seductive king’s bed. Wholly at his mercy. Utterly defenseless, in his own mind and most especially his restless body. His struggle is real. Because the more Alec gets to know Zercy, the more he realizes two things. The Kríe king is damaged—unstable, not right, making him unpredictable and highly dangerous. But he is also innately kind beneath the raging storm that torments him. Kind and genuine, with a sad but beautiful soul. Something Alec fights with all he is, not to acknowledge. He can’t fall for Zercy. Zercy is the enemy. The captor of both Alec and his team. Which means Alec needs to get them out of there, before it’s too late. Before emotions overthrow logic and take control of the wheel. If only his body didn’t crave Zercy so fiercely, and his heart didn’t want him just as badly.
With Search and Rescue due any day, and Alec’s team getting antsy, Alec is forced to make a decision. He can’t have it both ways. Is he the captain of his men, bound to obligation, or is he a man in love with a Kríe?
Warning: Contains explicitly scorching gay sex with exotic and shamelessly kinky males of otherworldly descent.

I love this second installment of this series. smokin’ hot but also romantic, while the first book was more erotic than romance. Zercy and Alec made me happy

Audiobook Review:
Narrator: Zane Daniels
Overall: 5/5
Performance: 5/5
Story: 5/5
It’s so freaking good!!
Zane Daniels aka Zachary Johnson is one of my absolute favorite narrators, he gives each and every character their own voice and there are several characters in this book and you can tell who’s who by the POV as well and who is talking. It’s absolutely refreshing to be honest, to have >one< narrator to take the time and really break down everyone’s voices is pretty dang awesome. I hope he narrates the rest of the series as well when it comes out.
Kora Knight’s stories literally never disappoint and Zercy is no exception.
The Queen of Edge has done it again in her latest installment in her The Nira Chronicles series.
Book two, Zercy, follows on from Kríe Captivity. To fully immerse yourself in the Nira experience I highly suggest you read book one first.
Zercy the Kríe King is enamored with the human, Alec – who was sold to the King after the human craft crashed on the alien planet. Alec also feels something for the Kríe King but can’t (or won’t) acknowledge the pull between them.
This love story is completely enriching and deeply felt with Knight providing her unique style of keeping the reader gasping for more while eventually delivering the most satisfying journey to be had via a Kindle.
I am not a keen reader of fantasy-romance, but Kora makes the sci-fi components simple to follow and skillfully uses them to enhance the reader’s experience by creating depth of character and a world filled with vibrancy, which just wouldn’t be possible without the fantasy elements.
Even without the scorching hot sex scenes, build up of angst and deeply felt love, Zercy is a tense tale of suspense, drama and humor. Alec is torn between the feelings that are building for the Kríe King and his loyalty to his team. He is their captain and feels responsible for their wellbeing – but what will he do if their desires differ from his own?
Kora is a master of tension and the voyage she takes the reader on is satisfying and deep.
I find it exceedingly rare to be able to clearly define more than 10 unique characters in a story by the way they look and their personalities, but Kora makes the individuals she creates so vibrant that I, the reader, feel I know every personality and can imagine further adventures for each.
The Nira Chronicles is a rare gift and one you simply cannot miss out on!
Kora Knight’s stories are highly sexual and mouth-wateringly decadent. Zercy is another course in her scrumptious banquet and I am already hungry for more!
After all that – we now have this fantabulous book available on audio with the brilliant voice of Zane Daniels bringing our much loved characters to full technicolour life! 20 hours of bliss, not to be missed!

Zercy
The Nira Chronicles, Book 2
By: Kora Knight
Narrated by: Zane Daniels
Kora Knight pens another out of this world, smoking hot SciFi fantasy novel. I am loving the uniqueness and originality of the story, the plotting, character development and world building is phenomenal. I found this 20+ hour story to be so engrossing that I lost track of time and thoughts of anything else going on in the world. Escapism at its best. I highly recommend starting with the first book in the series, that book laid down the foundation of the series, this second one picks up where that book leaves off and up to a year after Alec and his team crash landed on Planet Nira. Alec, Zaden, Chet, Noah, Bailey & Jamis are now property of King Zercy thanks to Gesh and his pack mates selling them off. Gesh had second thoughts about Noah and wanted him back but a deal was a deal, he left empty handed and broken hearted but was determined to get him back one way or another. He finds his chance one year later when the rescue team answering Alec’s distress call arrives. Zercy had taken interest in Alec, keeping him as his pet, the five bunked together and while Zercy said they were treated like guest they felt like they were prisoners, but then again according to Zercy since he bought them he owns them. The build up of Alec and Zercy’s relationship is amazing, the chemistry between them is electrically charged. Alec had never been attracted to men before landing on Nira, at first he thought it may have bee the lack of women but then he realizes that it is all about Zercy. While Zercy is dealing with problems in his kingdom, Alec is torn between loyalty to his team and to Zercy, but in true leader mode his team comes first. When opportunity arises to gain freedom for his team he questions what to do but the choice winds up out of his hand. I loved how everything played out in this book, the story is brilliantly plotted and there is never a dull moment. There is plenty of drama, angst, twists and turns, some action, thrilling and suspenseful moments, heartfelt emotions and some sensual and erotic loving like no other. Kora Knight, thank you for another amazing novel, I must say Reckay Moonsah Nira Chronicles!!
Zane Daniels continues to deliver an outstanding performance bringing these characters and story to life. He does an amazing job portraying the characters, he has a complete understanding of each role he plays, plays it convincingly and with confidence. He handles all the dialogue with ease and switches roles effortlessly without missing a beat. Zane Daniels is a mega talented narrator and a versatile voice artist, his performance enhances an already awesome story to another level of awesomeness. Thank you for this entertaining listen and for transporting me to Planet Nira! It is always a pleasure to listen to your audiobooks.
Zercy is the second book in The Nira Chronicles and CANNOT be read as a standalone. The first book, Krie Captivity, should be read first. Be warned that this series is still incomplete with the third book still in process. I am not sure when the author will release the third book, but I do know that I will snatch it up immediately because I am so excited to continue the adventure with this diverse cast of characters.
The worldbuilding for this series is intense and fascinating. I loved learning about Krie customs and norms and seeing how they conflicted with our human views. There were some holes in the plot and world/character building (I can tell the author does not have military experience and it shows with some of the decisions her military characters make), but honestly, none of that mattered to me. I found this story enjoyable for the exciting plot, the delightful characters, the steamy sex scenes, and the budding romance. I did not want this book to end, and I really hope the third book comes out soon.
This read had tentacles in it.
Sentient tentacles that did unspeakable things.
I just wanted to give a heads up in case that’s not your jam.
Technically, there’s nothing wrong with the book or the writing. It just wasn’t to my tastes.
