Cynthia works as a cleaner at Prince Hotel. Things are looking up when the owner takes an interest in … the owner takes an interest in her and offers her a job as his assistant. But all that glitters is not gold, and Cynthia discovers that her life with Zeke is the true fairy tale.
A Heroes at Heart novel. These men, raised in the loving foster home by the benevolent Miss Ethel, discovered there lies a hero in all of us. Based loosely on the fairy tale, Cinderella.

I love Maryann’s Alpha heroes especially these guys that grew up as Foster brothers with Miss Ethel. This is Zeke’s story, an angry teenager who grew up into a caring man. A young woman coming into the shelter catches his eye, could she be ‘the one’. Cynthia is a strong young woman, down on her luck but determined to pay her debts and get on with her life. I enjoyed her story with Zeke, the mystery in the background and the dangerous position they find themselves in. You’ll just want them to have their happy ending. We also have the other characters in the background, their wives, partners and children. Great story, I loved it.
Continuing the fairy tale inspired Heroes of the Heart series, Maryann Jordan brings us Cinderella. Except we have Cynthia and her prince is a cook and part owner of a neighborhood bar. But she does work as a maid as the Prince Hotel. Thankfully, we don’t get to meet the horrible stepmother and stepsisters, although I did get a nice giggle at their names. Like most of her books, Zeke should come with a tissue warning. I only cried twice, but they were good tears from a well written and heart warming story. I’m only sad that Miss Ethel seems to have only one son left to get his HEA.
