You’ve Got Tail from USA Today bestselling paranormal cozy mystery author Renee George is a laugh-out-loud tale of kidnapping, murder, and a town full of people hiding the truth. Fall in love with a hilarious cast of characters in Book 1 of Peculiar Mysteries; a paranormal romantic comedy that will not only have you laughing…it will also melt your heart as Sunny Haddock tries to unravel the … strange happenings in Peculiar, Missouri..
Welcome to Peculiar, Missouri!
Sunny Haddock, an animal-loving vegetarian psychic, is stoked to leave California behind to start a new life in the Ozark town of Peculiar with her best friend Chavvah Trimmel. She ups the moving date when Chav goes missing, and Sunny high tails it to the small town. What Sunny doesn’t realize is that she’s moving into a community of were-shifters, and they don’t want a human resident. Especially one dumb enough to arrive a couple of days before the full moon–the only night of the month shifters have to take their pure animal forms.
When the gorgeous Babel Trimmel, Chav’s younger brother, (along with the sheriff, the mayor, and some other nice folk) suggests Sunny haul her U-haul and butt back out of town, she’s undeterred. Her psychic abilities might be out-of-whack, and blood makes her faint, but she’s not a quitter. Besides, she’s not about to go anywhere until she finds out what happened to Chavvah.
But Sunny has more to deal with than unfriendly townsfolk…like disturbing killer visions and the dog-like animal no one else sees that seems to be stalking her every move. To make matters worse, she is finding Babel to be more irresistible than crack on a donut.
Sunny needs to get her ability and her hormones under control if she wants to solve the mystery and save her best friend.
“Move over Cesar Millan, Sunny’s in town, and this psychic makes house calls. Hilarious!” Dakota Cassidy, USA Today Bestselling author of the Accidental series.

Fun because it’s a good story. Funny because I can’t tell from the reading if it was a humorous romance or fantasy / whatever.
Better yet, it’s book 1 of 5! So more good reads for a howling good time!
There’s a lot going on in this book with all types of paranormals. You name it it’s in the book. You have murder, romance and kidnapping. Lot of humor as well.
Part of My Paranormal Valentine collection, and I loved it!!
Enjoyed trying to guess what would happen next because it was not what I expected.
What a great world to inspire stories!!
Adorable story!
You’ve Got Tail (Peculiar Mysteries #1) by Renee George This is the first book in a series and I found it enjoyable…There are six books in the series and I will be coming back for more. Sunny is a psychic (vegetarian) and friend of Chavvah… Babel (Babe) is Chav’s younger brother…Sunny goes to Peculiar, Missouri to join Chav and open a restaurant… Chav is missing and so is her brother Judah. Oh and by the way Peculiar is an Ozark shifter town. We do get to a HEA with some tears… great start to the series.
Doesn’t take you where you think you’re going
Very good read
It’s a light, fun read.
Fun read with slightly kinky vib
Passes the time painlessly
Yes. I really enjoyed this book a lot
I loved this book because it was a feel good novel w/o filth!
I was looking for a fun paranormal cozy mystery to dive into, but You’ve Got Tail ended up being a disappointment. The story had potential, but things went down hill fast. I’m not sure why I kept reading.
I did like Sunny’s psychic ability, but she lacked any understanding or training with it. I found the characters names funny, but then that got old fast. The last thing I enjoyed was Sunny’s introduction to the town where she meets Babel for the first time. It put a smile on my face.
Sunny comes to Peculiar to find her missing friend. She keeps saying she’s going to find her friend, yet she doesn’t do a thing. She has these psychic visions all over town, but doesn’t understand what it means. I would have liked her, but she didn’t do anything special. I was annoyed by all the rambling, which goes on and on, that she does in her head. And, she wasn’t good at detecting. All she does is run around clueless sticking her nose in things and getting into trouble.
The romance; between Sunny and Babel was nonexistent. Their was no development at all and I wouldn’t call it a romance. It was confusing; is what it was. These two are either having sex or they aren’t. Their was no building of any type of relationship.
The writing was fine, but the plot left a lot to be desired. It was obvious very early on who the villain(s) are, at least for one of them. Their was very little focus on the actually bad guys. We literally never even meet some of them.
Anyway, You’ve Got Tail was not the book for me. If the blurb intrigues you, I urge you to give it a shot. Just because it did not work for me does not mean it won’t for you.
Rated: 2 Stars
Disclaimer: I picked this up as a freebie online through Amazon.
Problem 1: a man who just slept with another woman and immediately hits on the heroine is a d-bag not a hunk.
Problem 2: Besides finding each other attractive, I’m not sure why the two protagonists like each other.
Decent premise. Decent writing. Maybe just needs to be tightened up a little.
Good fun, I will read more of this author.
This author has a twisted sense of humor. Many will enjoy it. I appreciated her writing ability it was just a little over the top for me. I should have heeded the warning. 18++ and mature language and theme.
Lust, mystery, lust and a great story
Too bad I’m such an old prude, the explicit sex wishes and scenes wasted a bunch of pages for me. But the characters and story were lovable and interesting. I was rooting for the people of this town and horrified by the villains. Normally, I would quit a book with this much sex, but the story was just too great to put down. I am continuing the series! Skipped pages, here I go…
I really enjoyed this book. I took off one star because of the lack of proofreading. It always annoys me when there are errors because it stops the flow of the story. However, it’s a fun mystery that doesn’t make the person to blame obvious from the beginning. I’d definitely read more from this author.
