You’ve Got Tail from USA Today bestselling paranormal cozy mystery author Renee George is a laugh-out-loud tale of kidnapping, murder, and a town full of people hiding the truth. Fall in love with a hilarious cast of characters in Book 1 of Peculiar Mysteries; a paranormal romantic comedy that will not only have you laughing…it will also melt your heart as Sunny Haddock tries to unravel the … strange happenings in Peculiar, Missouri..
Welcome to Peculiar, Missouri!
Sunny Haddock, an animal-loving vegetarian psychic, is stoked to leave California behind to start a new life in the Ozark town of Peculiar with her best friend Chavvah Trimmel. She ups the moving date when Chav goes missing, and Sunny high tails it to the small town. What Sunny doesn’t realize is that she’s moving into a community of were-shifters, and they don’t want a human resident. Especially one dumb enough to arrive a couple of days before the full moon–the only night of the month shifters have to take their pure animal forms.
When the gorgeous Babel Trimmel, Chav’s younger brother, (along with the sheriff, the mayor, and some other nice folk) suggests Sunny haul her U-haul and butt back out of town, she’s undeterred. Her psychic abilities might be out-of-whack, and blood makes her faint, but she’s not a quitter. Besides, she’s not about to go anywhere until she finds out what happened to Chavvah.
But Sunny has more to deal with than unfriendly townsfolk…like disturbing killer visions and the dog-like animal no one else sees that seems to be stalking her every move. To make matters worse, she is finding Babel to be more irresistible than crack on a donut.
Sunny needs to get her ability and her hormones under control if she wants to solve the mystery and save her best friend.
“Move over Cesar Millan, Sunny’s in town, and this psychic makes house calls. Hilarious!” Dakota Cassidy, USA Today Bestselling author of the Accidental series.
This paranormal cozy mystery contains werewolves, shifters, psychics, ghosts, and supernatural beings.

This book is a wonderful introduction to the town of Peculiar. We meet so many interesting people and experience such joy and happiness mixed with laughter and just enough sadness and terror to keep the story moving. Sunny and Babel are the perfect couple to start us on our love affair with this new series and the town of Peculiar. I look forward to seeing what this little town brings to us next.
You’ve Got Tail by Renee George was absolutely adorable! I had so much fun diving into the world of Peculiar! Sunny was great. Babel was, well growly-great (as he should have been! 🙂 )
The story was fun. Sunny’s a psychic, and one of the things I really liked about Sunny’s visions is that they weren’t always the future, and they weren’t always pretty. I also liked that they also affected her after she had them. The characters were great.
I can usually spot the bad guy pretty quick, but this one kept me guessing, which is always a bonus.
Oh, and I would highly recommend tissues for the ending. Yeah. Tissues. (But totally in a good way!!!) So grab it if you haven’t!
This book was a lot of fun! Usually I only read romances (I like happy endings, so sue me) so this totally is not my usual style of book, but the cover caught my eye (and you can’t beat the price) so I gave it a shot, and I was SO glad I did!! This was a great, fun read, with a fabulous mystery, shifters everywhere and some nasty types that get exactly what they deserve, which is just what I like seeing! It was really well-done plot with memorable characters that you can root for. I can’t say much more without SPOILERS so I’m going to just leave it at that. Plus, I’m going to get the next book, so that tells you something right there! AND it has romance! Win/win!
I had a ball reading this story! Great characters and impressive names to boot. It kept me guessing who was at fault. I hated my never ending tears at the end.
I really didn’t think I was going to like this book, but I was so wrong. It starts out slow but it makes up for it. There was mystery, murder, love and everything else wrapped into one book. First time reading this author ,but not the last.
I enjoyed the first book enough to buy the second in the series.
I was sucked in and loved the story. This book has it all mystery, comedy, sci-fi, romance, and action. I loved the book , and am adding the author to my list of must buy the next book, and the next.
This Is A ‘Must Read’ That You Will Thoroughly Enjoy!!
What a hoot! This story mixes cozy mystery and shape shifters with a large dose of humor. I really enjoyed this book and didn’t want to put it down. I will be reading more of this author’s work. I did have the need to skip over several ‘bedroom’ scenes, but that was not excessive and did not wreck the story.
Sunny Haddock is an animal loving, vegetarian
psychic who is opening a diner in Peculiar,
Missouri with Chavvah Trimmel. Sunny met
Chavvah at a San Diego community college.
Now Chavvah is missing so Sunny heads to
Peculiar earlier than planned.
Arriving at the diner called Sunny’s Outlook,
she meets Chavvah’s baby brother lying on the
diner’s floor naked. Oh my goodness!!
Everyone is town advises Sunny to leave town.
Why do they want her to leave?
Killings, trapping, mysterious disappearances,
kidnappings, wild psychic visions, therianthropes
and lycanthropes all make for a suspenseful read
with some humorous shenanigans.
An entertaining paranormal cozy mystery with
some steamy romance included.
I really didn’t think I’d enjoy this but Wow. it surprised me and I really enjoyed it.
Sunny is a character I had to shake my head at a few times. She seems to be a gentle slightly oblivious personality. She does seem ready to get it on with any good looking male in town, but does resist. I’m the end a cute easy to read book.
This is the one of the few books I have come across that was difficult, if not painful to read. I think the author and I were just not suited to each other. I tried to read it twice as I usually like stories about werewolves. It was a no go. I believe I will delete it and move on.
enjoyed the story very much.
Sunshine Haddock is a psychic who happens to love animals and does not eat them. She has come to town called Peculiar because her best friend Chavvah Trimmel purchased a diner for them. When Chav called Sunny she sounded desparate now Sunny is here but Chavvah isn’t but her younger brother Babel she finds passed out on the floor of the diner butt naked. They have only a short amount of time to figure out what is going on in this little town and why are people dissappearing ? A pretty interesting romantic mystery with a horrible twist. Enjoyed the characters and the story line. I puchased this book and I am providing an honest review.
Funny and entertaining!!!!!!!!!!Sunny is planning on relocating to Peculiar Missouri, with her friend Chav. Chav has already moved, found a building to house their new business and then sends Sunny a text saying “I need you”, leaving Sunny rushing to Peculiar ahead of schedule. Upon arriving she finds a naked man lying on the floor, who just happens to be Chav’s brother, who she is extremely attracted to. The residents of Peculiar while not unfriendly, do not want her there, and do not hide the fact. While fighting her attraction to Babel, and losing the battle, they look for clues to what could have happened to Chav. Why don’t the residents want her there? What is with the strange dog that she keeps seeing and no one else does? What happened to Chav and her brother Judah, who went missing a few years before? Are the disappearances related? Of course there is some sex in the book, I did not find it distracting, I just skimmed over the explicit parts. A very fun and entertaining read. Will I read more in this series? Most definitely. This is the first book I have read by this author and plan to read more. I was given an ARC book by the author Renee George and am leaving an honest and unbiased review. Although to be truthful I already had the book in my TBR pile. Thanks for the fun read.
