The Chick Flick Club series:
1. How to Choose a Guy in 10 Days
2. You’ve Got Male (Jan 2018)
3. Frisky Business (May 2019)

Zoey’s got big culinary dreams. So she’s not about to allow some guy to take them away from her. No matter that Cam is hotter than a chef has a right to be. No matter that she’s finding he just may not be the evil prankster she’s been thinking he is. Can these two rival chefs make the flame between them burn more than in just the kitchen?
I liked You’ve Got Male but I gotta admit it isn’t exactly my style of rom-com. For one, it’s a bit chick lit-ish, and while amusing, chick lit is not my type of romance. I prefer edgier, heavier romance. For two, I didn’t totally, or really at all, connect with Zoey and Cam. I liked them, thought they were fun, but they and their story were a bit fluffy for my tastes. Still, for what it is, You’ve Got Male is an entertaining read. It’s cute, sexy, fun and light-hearted enough for those that don’t dig deep, emotional stuff like I do.
This wouldn’t be an Monroe novel with out all the silly games! Her characters never fails to make this reader fall in love.
Cam and Zoey make take the place for the best couple so far. They are at each other’s throats constantly, however they have so much chemistry it is insane.
Food truck mishaps, intense contests and over the top pranks make this story flash by before you want it to end.
I love, love, love every character!! Highly recommend this for any romance lovers!!
I am such a fan of Lila and this book hits it just as the rest of them. This book was funny and I was hungry as I was reading it, everytime they talked about dishes they made my mouth watered. You couldn’t help but love Zoey and Cam, those two were explosive from the beginning when they met in the halloween party not knowing who is who. Their competition with each other was hilarious, but their chemistry was even better, Loved loved loved, You have to grab a copy and read it and Enjoy! because I am sure you will..
Rcvd an ARC at no cost to author..Voluntarily reviewed with my own thoughts and opinions.
I just love Ms. Monroe’s stories!
They are sweet and fluffy. They are laugh out loud funny and smexy as all get out! The perfect combination!
You’ve Got Male is the second book of the Chick Flick Club, this is Zoe’s story! I was so looking forward to this after reading a tease in the first book of this series.
Zoe and Cameron are competing food truck owners. And in a lovely twist of the fabulous movie You’ve Got Mail….(Which I absolutely love!!)
Zoey is my spirit animal! She could be living in the lap of luxury with her brother being a movie star, but she wants and works hard for her independence. She wants to make a name for herself in the world of food trucks.
Cameron is Zoey’s biggest rival and makes no bones about it. He too is fighting to make a name for himself.
From miscommunication and mistaken identities to funny but strategic pranks, this story is everything! Like a brunch waffle cone of goodness that Zoey wants to become famous for!
The secondary characters are, as always, amazing and bring more to the story! You cannot go wrong with a Lila Monroe story! They are refreshing and light, just what you need sometimes!
4.5 stars
Lila Monroe does awesome, hilarious justice to one of my all-time favorite chick flicks, You’ve Got Mail in this book of the same(ish) title! You’ve Got Male is the second in the Chick Flicks series and while you don’t need to read the rest, why the heck wouldn’t you? (I read them out of order and enjoyed them immensely!)
This spin of one of our most beloved stories is on wheels! Food trucks wheels, that is. Zoey and Cameron are food truck rivals out to make a name for themselves in brunch; my kind of rivalry, to be sure. In between fighting for the primo daily parking spots and dreaming up fresh, new recipes (which had me positively salivating), they fall into a pattern of pranks and snarky banter, while attempting to ignore their attraction to each other.
In addition to cutthroat and competitive, they are pretty darn hilarious! They’re also involved in an online food truck community and hit it off right away but, of course, they’re completely unaware that they’re falling for the competition!
I loved every single second of this adorable book and immediately bought the first one and devoured it as well, finishing both of them within 24 hours! If you’re a chick flick fan, you’ll immediately recognize the story on which this book is built and you’ll love it even more! Great read, can’t wait for the third one!

Lila Monroe is a new author to me, but boy she sure has it going on. I received an ARC for this book in return for my honest opinion, but I did not want to start in the middle of a series, so I totally bought the first book in the series to read— let’s just say I am hooked and You’ve Got Male is a great installment in the series!
This book has it all, humor, enemies to lovers sexual tension, an awesome plot, just the right tension, and great BFF’s as secondary characters! One thing that I love about romance novels is putting yourself into others’ shoes and seeing how they would react in certain situations. As a reader, we can either relate to that or be like “uh, no, I would totally not react like that”. Let’s just say I totally relate to the “I definitely would react like that” with the situations in this book. I know I am being super vague, but I am not giving you spoilers, you just have to read this amazing book yourself to get it. I will give you a little background on the characters though:
Joey is a fan-freaking-tastic chef that dreams of breaking it big. She is starting with a food truck that serves amazing brunch food (which as an avid brunch lover- I am behind this 10000%). She is loyal, caring, and someone I totally would be friends with! Everything is going great….. until Cam shows up as a rival brunch food truck.
DUN DUN DUN!!!!
Cam is sexy and knows his way around a kitchen *SWOON*. He is fine playing nice with Joey until she starts saying that he is not abiding by the unspoken rules of ‘don’t try to steal my customers’. He gets a bit miffed then and then the games are on.
As I said above, this is a great story. Please read it and I am SO looking forward to the next installment in this series. You definitely have a new fan Lila Monroe!
PS: I have checked out a few other series of the author, and I definitely recommend The Billionaire Bachelors Series!
PSS: I received this book for free as an ARC in return for my honest feedback.
It’s always a pleasure to read a Lila Monroe book, her writing can cheer me up even in the gloomier of days.
Zoey and Cam are the hottest thing on the food truck scene, their relationship grows through thick and thin because the competition is fierce but their connection, love for food and chemistry are even fiercer.
You’ve Got Male is a fabulous addition to this new series. It was so easy and effortless and enterteining to read and I recommnd it to all the fans of Chick Flicks movies.
“’ , … . .”
Lila Monroe gives us a sexy and hilarious twist on a beloved classic with her latest installment in her ℎ series, You’ve Got Male. This was pure ROM-COM goodness right here! Zoey and Cam had the best chemistry and they both stole my heart from the very beginning! Cover to cover, this delicious, banter-filled romantic comedy was an absolute joy to devour!

Another fun loveable read from the very talented Lila Monroe.
You’ve Got Male is book 2 in the Chick Flick Club Series and if you are looking for a book that will have you laughing, giggling and leave you smiling like a Cheshire Cat as well as pulling just a little bit at your heartstrings you won’t want to miss this one.
Zoey and Cam are rivals with their food truck businesses and what starts off as friendly funny rivalry soon goes horribly wrong and trusts are broken …..but who is to blame I guess you need to read the book to find that out….
This author is fast becoming the must read queen of RomComs with her adorable couples and funny situations they find themselves in, her books are certain to lift your mood and leaving feeling all warm and fuzzy inside. Great read
A little friendly competition is good for the soul. But what these two cook up is more than just a cordial rivalry.
You’ve Got Male is book two in the Chick Flick Club Series, but can be read as a standalone. Lila Monroe never fails to deliver a sweet and spicy romantic comedy that leaves readers thirsty for more!
Zoey and Cam were just simply adorable!! Their unique enemies-to-lovers relationship gives you exactly what you hope for from the premise, but also conveys the deep connection of friendships and the intense desires that drives ambition.
As rivals, Zoey and Cam couldn’t be any more different from each other. Competing against one another in an already cutthroat culinary world doesn’t help their chances of rekindling the spark they had when they first met. And as seemingly harmless little pranks turn into brutal sabotage, misunderstandings hinder their already rocky relationship – proving the saying “It’s not personal. It’s business.”
If you love a good story that will make you gasp, swoon, cry, and crack-up with endless laughter, then definitely read You’ve Got Male. The fiery banter, the delectable romance, and the mouthwatering sexual tension will undoubtedly make you melt.
5 Stars!
A HILARIOUSLY ENTERTAINING ROMANTIC COMEDY FROM LILA MONROE WITH PLENTY OF PRANKS, LAUGHS, SWOONS, AND A SEXY HATE TO LOVERS FEEL THAT JUST EXPLODES WITH WILD CHEMISTRY!
The newest Chick Flick Club story from Miss Monroe is really good! Fun, sexy, and witty, I really had a great time with our hero and heroine’s competition streak. It is completely unforgettable and had the right amount of heart to keep me in check. Thoroughly enjoyable and deserves a win from me!
You’ve Got Male gets a SWOONY AND TOO FUN FOR WORDS FIVE SHOOTING STARS!
Lila Monroe has delivered another heartfelt read that’s sure to put a smile on your face. This Romcom, is hilarious, the rivalry between Zoey and Cam is sure to keep you entertained. This is the 2nd book in the Chick Flick club and I really enjoyed it.
If you haven’t read the first book How to choose a guy in 10days you should, it’s just as good as this one.
5 Star Review of You’ve Got Male (Chick Flick Club #2) by Lila Monroe
This is book two in the latest series from Lila Monroe and is Zoey Rafferty and Cam Newsom’s story.
Lila Monroe had me from chapter one in this fun, quirky and oh so entertaining read about two competitive chefs who not only heat up the kitchen but also the bedroom.
Zoey has worked hard to achieve her dreams but when Cam threatens her livelihood she is determined to best him.
Their fiery attraction smoulders and the chemistry between them is off the charts.
I never fail to smile when I read a Lila Monroe book. This is an excellent example of Romantic Comedy at it’s finest and I recommend you one click ASAP, I don’t think you will be disappointed.
Meet Zoey, living her dream of running her food truck, and she’s doing well for herself, people flock to her truck everyday, until one day she see’s them eating stuff from another truck. It becomes her mission to find this other owner. At a Halloween party she meets and kisses a guy, and then takes off. All she can think about is the handsome stranger she kissed.
Cam, better known as the Breakfast Bandit, takes this title seriously, as he’s struggled to make a living for himself, and like Zoey, this has been his dream. The antics that go on between these two is hysterical, one trying to best the other while reeking havoc on each other!
I really enjoy this story! 5 stars for this one, grab it asap!
There’s a lot to like in Lila Monroe’s You’ve Got Mail. It’s based on a great movie story that’s been made at least 3 times successfully. And it’s got food. Lots of food. I like food. My cholesterol levels prove it. So it was a no brainer to read the book and I wasn’t disappointed.
Instead of dueling music store employees (the first 2 movies) or dueling book store owners (the most recent movie) we get dueling food truck owners in San Francisco. Both are talented chefs who can sling it with the best. Until they find themselves competing for the best locations in town. Then they’ll do anything they can to succeed, including fall in love.
Lila Monroe uses the original movie stories well. But she doesn’t completely follow the movie scripts, which is great. Her adaptation is fun, sweet and sexy, unlike the movies. The setting is great and as I said before, you can’t go wrong with food in your story. I only wish she’d added some of Zoey and Cam’s recipes to the book. I could use a good brunch.
Definitely add this one to your brunch menu. You won’t be disappointed.
Rating: 4 stars

All’s fair in love and food truck wars…right? Lila Monroe has written yet another delightful romantic romp about a foodtruck turf war, one upping the competition and falling in love with the enemy. Zoey and Cam can’t seem to get beyond their rivalry even though they are perfectly matched. Cam was quite charming when he wasn’t being a jerk. Zoey is delightfully funny and unwilling to be a pushover. Both are talented but sometimes winning at all costs is actually losing.
I gotta tell ya, I love Lila Monroe’s books!! Between her cast of characters, whom you can’t help but love, her non stop wit & humorous situations, there’s no way you can read her books without smiling & laughing. And obviously, this is no exception. The food truck wars become quite interesting here between Zoey & Cam. And things heat up, in more ways then one ;). This was so much fun, and sizzly, to read that I read it in one sitting. Definitely need to jump on this wagon!!
You’ve Got Male by Lila Monroe is book two of the a truly hilarious, lighthearted story of two truck food owners at odds with each other, who have to battle it out to see who is the best of the #brunchcrowd. Dirty tactics abound in this sweet tasting take on the movie ‘You’ve Got Mail’.
I hardly stopped smiling while I was gorging myself on this scrumptious story. From all the delicious sounding dishes to the hot and steamy scenes it was a true delight for the senses. In every way imaginable.
I loved Zoey, and was rooting for her from the moment she stepped onto the pages of my kindle. Cam, was quite the salty dish with his cut and run tactics in the beginning but he soon sweetened, not just Zoey, but me as well. He was a dish and a half of hot, sexy studliness.
Zoey was about to let Cam ride off into the sunset with her customers and decided to fight fire with well.. A the goodies at her disposal. Some of her choices were kinda risky, but it was Cam and his accomplice AJ, who led the way in the cutthroat challenges.
But, even when they were trying to be mad with one another their chemistry still rocked. Add the snarly, innuendo filled banter and it was a super, sweet and sinful story.
I received an ARC of this book from the author for my honest review.
This is the second book in the Chick Flick Club series and it tells Zoey’s story.
Zoe and Cameron run rival food trucks. Their competition heats up and so does the sabotage (mostly by their assistants). Of course, they meet anonymously on a message board for foodies, and their alter egos click. This is a nice retelling of the “You’ve Got Mail”/“The Shop Around the Corner.”
I loved both of the characters and the pace of the romance. I cannot wait for the next installment of this series.
