I single-handedly built the hottest website for dating and relationship advice. Got a question? Scarlet Rocket can answer it for you. I was your modern day agony aunt with the solutions to all your pesky personal problems. The only issue? I was actually a man named Willis Halloran, not the female Scarlet Rocket. I thought my secret was safe. But then a sexy con artist calling herself Scarlet … Rocket began showing up at society events, pretending to be me. I couldn’t let it go, so I tracked her down and confronted her. It went well … except for the part where she stole my wallet. Oh, and the part where she conned my agent into having us work together. And after that? Let’s just say she wound up stealing something much more valuable than my wallet or my [fake] name.

This book was fantastic! Had me laughing out loud at so many places. Written very well and flowed great.
Willis Halloran is living the life. Running a website giving advice to people. Sitting in his office day in and out…coming up with solutions to other people’s personal problems. His website is killing it. Sponsor ads are bringing in the big bucks. The only catch is…his website is known to everyone as being run by Scarlet Rocket a female.
Scarlet Rocket shows up at a public event and everyone is talking about how Scarlet has shown her face to her fans…The catch is…It’s not really the real Scarlet.
You know this is a good book if the author can bring up Coach Lou Holtz and make it work in the story! Love Lou Holtz and I’ve never read about him in any book. (Go Notre Damn!!! Fighting Irish All The WAY!!!)
Will never put a bath bomb in the tub without thinking of this book! Patiently waiting for the Shitake Shocker ads to pop up on the internet.

Why didn’t you guys tell me this book would make me feel so happy? This book is the perfect blend of hilarious, dirty, sweet, and sexy.
The.
Perfect.
Blend.
And yet, none of you said, “Hey, dummy, read this book. You’ll like it.”
Shame on you guys.
Anyway, Willis and Scarlet meet in the most unexpected of ways.
She’s a con. He’s a blogger with a secret identity. And now, the con has stolen that public persona and created herself in the image of one Scarlet Rocket.
And the shenanigans go on from there.
The greatest of shenanigans.
Get this book and fall for nerdy Willis and sexy Scarlet just like I did. And don’t say I didn’t tell you to read it because I did. Just now.
Well now, wasn’t that just the most fun I’ve had in a while with my face buried in a book.
I haven’t had a sexy, rom-com make me laugh this hard in a very long time.
Willis and ‘Scarlet Rocket’ are truly delightful characters who bring out the very best parts of each other’s quirky personalities. Add them to an amazing cast of side characters and you have hours of entertaining fun. This book just made me feel good!
I got the impression that Ms Aaron made the side characters so funny and larger than life, because maybe, just maybe, she wants to tell us their stories too!? Yes, please!
I’ve been laughing so loudly, I’ve scared myself Lmao . Insanely funny , this book will have you rolling on the floor in no time !
I’ve been snaughling non stop, tears in my eyes and almost peeing in my pants. This book requires shamwow panties for an entirely different reason
Read this book people, so fantastically witty and humorous , Ms Aaron is my new Rom-Com Shakespeare !
Poor Willis Halloran. He’s a cute, nerdy type , realllllly sexy , hot nerd , let me add . He sits behind a computer in his pyajmas ( which I’d like to remove with my teeth ) , wearing his star wars bloomies ( a Monster Warrior from outer galaxy hides within) and he writes a blog!!!!
Omg it’s like He and I are meant to be !! we’re both bloggers !!!!!! Give him to me Celia!!!
Anywho, so he writes a blog about relationship and sex advice under the name of Scarlet Rocket. A real Agony Aunt , except aunt is a dude. So his life is going pretty fairly well behind the curtain when Boom !! Real Scarlet lands up. Now she may be an Imposter stealing his limelight, his business, his name, his wallet, other people’s wallets, some jewellery , some money clips……….
See, Ms Sticky Fingers Imposter Scarlet Rocket is a thief! And so fantastic at stealing, it’s giving Willis nightmares. So they come to and agreement of sorts to both be scarlet and make bank .
The terms of agreement – He has to play sidekick, she has to stop with the kleptomania
Only glitch they hit – she steals his heart and never gives back !
I’m telling you -> READ.THIS.BOOK.NOW!!!
And you’re welcome !
I laughed like a maniac whenever Elias came on the scene. He’s Willis’s friend who is inventing new sex toys every other day. His newest toy is
“It’s a dildo that squirts its own lube. The SquickyLube?
A dildo on crack, right?”
“No, you’re thinking of my rear entry device with additional vibrating fingers. This is more of a smooth-talking dildo, eases right in.”
Willis is a real nerd of the Star Wars category, he geeks our in Commander Reptilian movie, when he meets the Star Jason, he almost has his panties creamed……sorry Bloomies creamed. It was such a gigglefest, I had a hard time stopping laughing!
Then there’s Todd, persistent and annoying as a mosquito, hovering around scarlet, making Willis green with envy. Its funny how his geeky layers hide such a cute sexy AF, funny persona.
“She’s busy.”
Willis wouldn’t give an inch.
“Doing what?”
“Sitting on my face.”
“Willis!”
Will Ferrell popped through my mind with a “that escalated quickly” meme. ”
I swear I could’ve died laughing
I thoroughly, rolling on floor , enjoyed this funny book
**wiping tears** go read and enter the Laughathon !
You can thank me later
I do love Celia Aaron’s works, but this one fell a little flat for me. I would be lying if I said that I want to finish this for fake Scarlet. We all know Willis is the reason I continued with this.
His life, the way he built relationships with his friends Elias and Jason we amazing. Fake Scarlet made me want to scream. I get it she has a klepto issue. That didn’t bother me but she seemed like a lack luster character. Kind of like a really amazing movie that gets awards for plot point, main male lead, supporting character leads etc. But the main female lead just didn’t work with everything else and it killed the story. That’s this.
And Aaron could you have made her have any other color lipstick. She was always wearing red. Why? She didn’t have a purple or a nude color? Wtf?
Anywho Willis I love to death but I wish he had a better heroine.
I loved this romantic comedy from Celia Aaron. It was funny, suspenseful and super hot and sexy! Scarlett is great at reading people, so when she figures out Willis’ angle, she is out to take advantage. Willis is a super sexy nerd who prefers to avoid people, until Scarlett draws him out and into her. This is a charming and sexy game of cat and mouse that will have you on the edge of your seat and fanning yourself as well! I loved both Willis and Scarlett and all their friends and family! Don’t miss this refreshing, lively, seductive tale of the nerd and the con!

Confession time!! I have a “thing” for cute/hot romance book covers. A “thing” that makes me purchase books without giving much thought about the blurb. But, being honest, in the Romance genre the couple of paragraphs from the back cover is useless more often than not. So, getting a book just for the frontpage eye candy is not as bad as it looks, isn’t it? Am I trying to convince the readers or myself?
This book had a cute shirtless guy smirking… I’m human, ok? In this case, the cover wasn’t the only sexy part of the book. The blurb was kind of interesting and different from any Romance book I have ever read. Willis is an antisocial nerd (his words, not mine) that writes a popular blog about relationships. He signs the blog as Scarlet Rocket, so the whole world thinks the author is a woman. But, one day a woman appears in a party telling everybody that she is Scarlet Rocket. Obviously, Willis is not too happy about that and run to intercept her.
This should be the recipe of a crazy fun book with lots and lots of banter between Willis and the con-woman. At least is what I was expecting, so I am a bit disappointed that it’s not really the case. The sense of humor of the author is not what I thought it would be. Let’s say is more phallic than witty. Once I have accepted that fact, I could adapt my mind to enjoy what she offers. The book is funny, I’ll give Celia that. My favourite parts of the book is when Jason is around and Willis behave like a fanboy. Those mentions of his inner nerd are priceless!!!
Reading the blurb I imagined a pretty fresh dynamic among Willis and fake Scarlet. I mean, usually in Romance books women are the mark and the men, the conmen; but this book is the opposite. So I was ready for some new interactions among the main characters that I have never read before. It’s not the case, though. As soon as they meet, the flow of the book mimics the one from any other mainstream Romance book. And that happens in the first chapter, so… Bummer!!
But what is really driving me crazy (in the bad sense) is that contradiction named Willis. He is an antisocial guy who somehow is a guru of sex. He is a hermit that somehow is a hunk. A very respectful guy who behaves like a caveman… Make up your mind!! I hate labels, but the author should have picked one instead of that crazy mix that sometimes doesn’t make anysense.
I haven’t mentioned that the book is written in first person from the point of view of Willis and fake Scarlet. I’m not a big fan of first person books, but I’m always eager to read one in the Romance genre if that point of view is from a man. Those are scarce in my opinion. I enjoy reading the sexy parts (ok, ok… the sex parts) from a man perspective. Usually, Romance books are all about the pleasure of the woman, as if men didn’t care about getting some. So I was expecting some sex and feelings narrated by Willis, but… in those moments, Celia always switches to Scarlet. Again…. Bummer!!
But, if something has made me drop a star for this book is the end. The “ring treatment”? Really? It’s so out of character for Willis and Scarlet. It leaves such a sour aftertaste… After so many years reading Romance books I should already be armored against the sudden proposals, but in this book it’s waaaaay more annoying.
The book is a roller coaster. Sometimes you are high believing you are reading the best book in the world, but shortly you will be taken down to the most foregattable book… and up again… and down after that… etc. It can make you dizzy, actually. Being said all that, I must admit it’s a fun read.
Omg, this book….can I be Scarlet? Because she’s kicka$$….hilarious, snarky, sarcastic…girl has skills;) This was such a change from the dark twisty tales Celia normally writes-and I was scared it wouldn’t be a fav-but it IS. So freaking hilarious, so many geeky references. so much I highlighted lol. I legit, lol’d, throughout!
“You have that look on your face like I jumped in a time machine, traveled back to the 90’s, found your very first pet-the one you loved so much that you slept with it every night & gave it kisses before you left for school-and made you watch as I lit it on fire and did a witch’s dance to celebrate.” He coughed. “Wow, that’s oddly specific.”
“It was like flirtation Inception. Flirtception?”
But also the emotion, the raw emotion of opening up & trusting…to stop the machinations & games to just BE. Argh, allllllllll the feels. Freaking loved this story, Love Celia! Buy it, laugh yourself sick, shed a tear, devour it!
Willis Halloran is the brains behind a popular advice blog and to the questioning masses, he’s known as Scarlet Rocket. Willis is comfortable behind his computer screen, doling out sage advice, but with an upcoming book release he’s got to figure out how to get some hype for his book going and how is he goin to handle the possibility of a book tour?
Scarlet Rocket, at least, that’s the name the beautiful redhead is using for now. With a name that belongs to no one and a reputation to get into tons of celebrity events, ‘Scarlet’ couldn’t be more pleased with her current name and the freedom to pickpocket that comes with it.
I really struggled with liking Scarlet in this book. From the beginning she was deceptive and I know that was integral to her character’s plot but she was rude and while her reasoning was good enough, she never seemed very contrite. I sort of begrudgingly liked her in the end, mostly because Willis liked her. Willis however, I loved. He had that sexy nerdy thing down and I was all for it. I very much enjoyed the supporting characters, Elias, Jason, and Hannah, I would definitely check out something with these characters again.

I love the snark, the geekdom, and the concept. You’ve Got Fail is cute with some sexy and a whole lot of tension. It’s got secrets, lies, and a problem.
I had fun reading it. As geek, I loved the dorking out and inner fanboy. It was fun to be represented. While Commander Reptilian is a stranger to me, I hope to see more escapades. With the banter and ridiculousness of these friends, it’s hard not to be swept up into the bromance.
Live long and prosper!

This is a cute, laugh out loud rom-com book. So Willis pretends to be Scarlet Rocket who gives advice out on a blog. He/She is a very popular persona but nobody knows she is a he and he likes it that way. I mean you can’t go wrong.
These characters are great, and the story is wonderful. Really enjoyed reading it. I voluntarily read an advance reader copy for my honest review.

This book’s blurb sounded SO intriguing, yet I feel a little let down.
You’ve Got Fail fulfills it’s task as a full-length romantic comedy on a high level but it doesn’t exceeds it.
Willis is a perfect combination of being the right amount of nerdy and steamy hot. He’s clever, witty, self-assured and caring.
(Fake) Scarlet is a troubled and haunted girl, caring, smart and determined.
Their encounters should be sparkling with chemistry and attraction. Yet I had trouble feeling those. I can’t pinpoint what’s missing, I just didn’t feel it.
The story itself was funny and entertaining and different to anything I’ve read before. Also the secondary characters are quite endearing and I hope for a story for Hanna and Elias.
“Just the feel of him sent me spinning like an uneven washing machine at a drunken laundromat.”
“How can the man who just gave me two amazing, mind-blowing orgasms be the same man who glues tampons to action figures?”
Celia Aaron is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. Her writing is so outstanding I would read her to-do list and grocery list and get the same feeling after reading one of her books. Despite the fact that I absolutely loathed “Scarlet” throughout this entire book, Celia still had me falling completely in love with this book. I honestly don’t know how she does it.
This is my second book I’ve read by this author. I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel reading a lighthearted novel by her since The Bad Guy was my first book I’ve read and it was dark and utterly sexy. Then I start this beauty love it. It was so funny and sexy. Willis is adorable and had me falling in love right away. He’s dorky, sexy, and is described as Clark Kent, what’s not to like. Despite his anti-social behavior and nerdy personality, the man definitely has sex appeal. I loved the undeniable attraction between Scarlet and Willis. Lines definitely blur in their relationship and it makes everything that much sexier.
The story was really good and even better than I thought it would be. It has so many laugh-out-loud moments. The sexiness is off the charts. And honestly this is just a really good book. I refuse to give away anything about the plot because its better to enjoy it as you go because not everything is what it seems and its so much more fun to see what Scarlet will do next and how Willis rises to her challenges.
Despite my utter dislike of Scarlet I didn’t see it fair to rate this book lower because I didn’t like her. I totally get her actions, but I couldn’t respect them. I get the hustle and I’m all for it, but not when you could possibly destroy other people’s lives and the things they worked hard for. Still, loved this book.
You’ve Got Fail is a fun, laugh out loud, sexy read. I really enjoyed the whole blogger “Scarlet Rocket” and I absolutely loved Willis’s friend, Elias, job he has! That cracked me up reading it for the first time. Willis is a total nerd right down to his undies. But hes not a sweet and shy nerd.. Not at all. Hes a naughty, dirty talking, hunk of a nerd. I loved his dirty mouth. Is it wrong to say the end of the book, you know the really nerdy and hot part, well.. holy hell that was hot! It’s all kinds of “talk nerdy to me” hot. As the story finished I am wondering if Hannah will get her own story. I would enjoy continuing with these characters in another book.
Totally worth picking up if you are looking for a something light and funny.
A few entertaining lines from the book.
“A delicious shiver shot down my spice. I wanted him again, and not just the third base stuff. I wanted to ride home plate bareback.
I shook my head and states down at the turbulent river.
Yeah, real professional.”
“How can the man who just gave me two mind blowing orgasms be the same man who glues tampons to action figures?”
Willis and Scarlet are the perfect pair of cute, funny and sexy hot fun. Celia always brings us characters that draw you into the well-woven story she creates.
FLAWLESS, FUNNY, FANTASTIC!!
This steamy rom-com is not only an unputdownable page turner, it’s a feel good must read!
This story is crazy, ridiculous, funny, but the characters are so well developed and the story line so clever and so flawlessly created, I’ve been thinking about it after I finished and still spontaneously breaking into cackling. The banter, the outrageous situations
“Who’s the real Scarlett Rocket” and what have they done?
… jump in and read it!!
This is the perfect anecdote to boost your spirits!!
You’ve Got Fail by Celia Arron was a fun, flirty laugh a minute kind of insta-love at first sight romance between a blogger and a con artist. If you’re feeling down and in need of a pick-me-up after the Christmas shopping rush, then this is the book for you. Lots of hot sexy times, humour, gags and a sex toy with a mind of its own.
Willis Halloran is a superman strength sexy book/comic nerd who has dedicated himself to his online sex and relationship advice column and it’s grown from small fry to being a well known and respected blog loved by hundreds of thousands of mainly women who seek help from his alter-ego, Scarlet Rocket. This is the man who doesn’t shy away from his inner child. He still wears cartoon characters on his T-shirt, but he’s so built and gorgeous, he can get away with it. His best friend Elias even works for a sex toy company and is just as crazy.
Now, on the cusp of an ever greater career with the publication of his first self-help book, Willis discovers that someone is going around town pretending to be the real Scarlet. Setting out to unmask the imposter, he instead comes face to face with the most gorgeous woman he’s ever seen, unfortunately for his light-fingered female nemesis, he sees far more than he expected as he watches her pocket wallets and jewelry.
When Scarlet is almost caught red-handed by another mark, Willis steps into protect her, or rather his namesake, it wouldn’t do his blog any good if she was arrested while masquerading as Scarlet, now would it. Well, that’s what he tells himself.
His agent comes up with a plan for them to work together, and Willis warily agrees but with one stipulation. He’ll pretend to be her assstant so long as Scarlet gives up her klepto impulses.
Scarlet is more than willing as she has a new plan after meeting Willis. Willis is soon enraptured by Scarlett’s spunky repartee and dry wit and falling under her spell.
Scarlet tries to tell herself that Willis is just a mark, her next big payoff, all she has to do is make it to the end of their business transaction to earn the big bucks. What she isn’t supposed to do is fall in love.
But, Scarlett has a secret that she’s hiding. It’s a huge weight hanging over her head, one with a deadline that she has to fulfill- or else. It’s this secret and her love for her younger sister that rules Scarlet’s life. She can’t fail but when Willis finds out what she really had planned to do he’s beyond hurt.
Can these two seemingly impossible characters really have the happy ever after.

Celia Aaron can write anything and make it fantastic. She is one of those authors who know how to delve into her characters minds and present them in such a way, where they become like family to the reader. This story specifically, is a perfect example of how when you love your craft, it shows in the writing and emboldens the reader to you even more. You’ve Got Fail is such a charming story and it is filled with humor and wit; as it is a laugh out loud romantic comedy.
This is the story of Willis and Scarlet. Willis is an online blogger for romantic advice; okay a sex columnist. He poses as a woman named Scarlet Rocket and offers advice, tips, and pleasure filled answers to “those” questions. In the real world… he is a cute, shy, nerd. He is living life and enjoying his job until one day he gets ward that Scarlet Rocket has been showing up (in person!) at events and interviews. Willis, being shocked, decides to confront Scarlet and get to the bottom of who she is, and what she is doing using his name.
Scarlet (impostor) is really a petty thief, and is using Scarlet Rocket as a mask to enter into places where high quality marks congregate. She is extremely good at her trade. When Willis confronts Scarlet; the laughter begins and the romance develops. Willis and Scarlet are perfect for each other and they balance each other to a new level. I loved the characters by themselves but together was amazing. These are the types of characters that you want in your life, you want to be a part of their lives.
The secondary characters in this story are just as brilliant as the main ones and only add to the story. I loved when they would make a small appearance so I could get a bit more of their personalities. I would love future stories involve in these characters. I have rarely read a story where I loved the “other” characters as much as I loved main ones.
The comedy is bold and brilliant, there are a few sigh worthy lines and the romance is sweet and beautiful. This is a top story in the romantic comedy category and I wholeheartedly enjoyed reading it. I could not put it down and I might have laughter so hard a few times that I snorted. The sassiness, quips, and bold actions of this story are what make it a modern classic.
