Once they were best friends. Now they’re from two different worlds. Zoe Bellini’s world exploded the second she kissed her best friend…and not in a good way. Every teen dream came crashing down when Padric was whisked away from Alaska, and her luck hasn’t improved in the last fifteen years. In fact, the pizza shop owner’s terrible track record with men has become a local legend. She doesn’t … legend. She doesn’t expect it to change when Padric—now a world-famous rock star—sails back into town. It’s not like they can just pick up where they left off…but her traitorous body sure wants to try.
Padric Jeffers never expected to return to his hometown of Lost Harbor, Alaska—not after the scandal that sent his family fleeing. But a mysterious letter with a warning about his childhood friend Zoe? That has him postponing his tour and hopping on the next flight north. Zoe’s been on his mind and in his lyrics since he left her behind, and once he sets eyes on the stunning grown-up version of his best friend, his mission is clear: do whatever it takes to have her—and keep her—this time around.
Easier said than done, since not everyone in town is excited about Padric’s return. And someone will do anything it takes to get rid of him. Can a pizza maker and a rock star overcome their history—not to mention scandals, angsty fans and unexpected danger—and find their way back to love?
A standalone novel in the Lost Harbor, Alaska series.

Jenny Bernard is knocking it out of the park with her new series. Love, love, love every word she writes!
This is my favorite in the series so far, with easily two of the nicest and strongest characters that Jennifer Bernard’s written yet, in Padric and Zoe. Rather than rehashing the blurb, let me just tell you that there are scenes in this book that you won’t forget easily – and one of those is in Zoe’s mom’s hospital room. These two are battling what appear to be insurmountable forces, but, with her twin sisters determined to reunite them (and take advantage of Padric’s star power, of course), their fates are rather sealed. Add in the lyrics to “that” song, and it’s a book that it’s difficult not to love.
I received a free copy of this book. This review was posted voluntarily.
Once best friends, Zoe and Padric hadn’t seen each other in 15 years when he suddenly roars back into Lost Harbor and Zoe’s world. The now famous rock star has missed his childhood friend and now his feelings for Zoe aren’t just friendly, they are down right steamy. Zoe feels the chemistry too but how can a pizza shop owner from Alaska be with a superstar, especially with all the baggage they carry from the past?
I loved these characters!! Padric and Zoe both carried scars from the past but their friendship was so special, both in their teen years and in the present. I enjoyed the bit of mystery surrounding their reunion as well. I love this series and can’t wait to return to Lost Harbor!!
I loved this book! Padric and Zoe are colorful characters who were best friends in their teens and might have become lovers if not for a shocking scandal that tore both families apart in one awful afternoon. I love the small town feel of this book and thanks to the detailed descriptions of the ecology and topography of Lost Harbor and the delightful reoccurring characters we got to know in the first book, I felt right at home. Padric is a famous musician who has traveled the world while Zoe has given up her art because the needs of her family were always more urgent than her dreams. Unfortunately, not everyone in town is happy with Padric’s success and as hard as they try it seems like Zoe’s family obligations are going to come between them again. You’ll have to read the book to find out what happens!
Caught between heartache and healing, Yours Since Yesterday takes the sentiment of the past and brings it into a real nail biter, present. For Padric and Zoe written in the stars spelled the beginning of the end. Now years later and lessons learned, fate throws a a dangerous curveball into their lives. Will the drama of the past topple any chance of a future? Bernard casts a spell that’s not easily broken. With a sprinkle of humor, a dash of drama and a pinch of suspense, Yours Since Yesterday dishes up the right recipe for romance.
Yours Since Yesterday has it all going on…friends to lovers, second chance romance, a bit of mystery and danger, as well as…Scandal! And yes, it should be capitalized!
Zoe and Padric were best friends that could have led to more if his family hadn’t left Lost Harbor 15 years ago. He’s back, thanks to a bit of subterfuge, but can he and Zoe rekindle that friendship…and spark a romance.
Honestly, there wasn’t anything I didn’t like about this book! Zoe is spunky yet totally vulnerable, her twin sisters are both terrors and possible world leaders, Padric is sweet and sensitive, and the town full of interesting characters. I’ve read other books and have never has an interest in visiting Alaska. Frankly, my home state is cold enough in the winter! But Bernard’s description writing make me want to hike through the forest (so not a hiker) and take a boat ride along the harbor and out into the open ocean. Just don’t tell my husband…he’ll be booking the trip asap!
Great characters, fantastic storyline and wonderful writing make Yours Since Yesterday a 5 star read!
Second chance romance at its best. Zoe and Padric were childhood best friends who were separated by family betrayal just when they were ready to go further. Fifteen years later, Padric returns to Lost Harbor thanks to Zoe’s twin sisters shenanigans. Zoe stayed in Lost Harbor to take over the family’s pizza parlor, Last Chance, and to take care of her mother while Padric became a famous singer. Zoe and Padric struggle at first to make their peace with the past but true love can’t be denied! I really enjoyed the silliness of the twins, catching up with Nate and Maya and the journey of Zoe and Padric’s to love and freedom.
What do you do when the person you shared your first kiss with suddenly shows up after being apart for years? And he’s a famous rock star? Zoe doesn’t know which way to turn. She’s still attracted to Padric but the scandal that sent his family packing is still fresh in her mother’s mind. He’s not going to stay anyway, right? Maybe she can just get him out of her system?
Padric has always remembered Zoe & held other women up to her standard. He’s been waiting for a reason to come back & a devious letter written by Zoe’s twin sisters does the trick. Can they find away to be together?
I really enjoy this series so far! It has all of the Jennifer Bernard characteristics that I enjoy – small town, good hearted gossips, close friends, great chemistry. From the beginning, I felt a connection with Zoe & loved her loyalty to her mom & Sisters & her determination to get what she wanted out of life. Padric had a real chauvinistic moment & I just about changed my mind about him. He made it right though & all was fine again. I loved Zoe’s twin sisters & their determination to make their festival the best. I really can’t wait to see the rest of the group settle down!

Yours Since Yesterday is book 2 in the Lost Harbor series by Jennifer Bernard, while its a standalone reading the prior book will give you background into the legend of “Lost Souls”.
Zoe Bellini and Padric Jeffers were childhood best friends but after a kiss and family scandal they were torn apart…he moved to Florida, she stayed in Lost Harbor and lost touch. Now years later Padric, famous rock star returns to Lost Harbor after receiving a mysterious letter concerning Zoe…
Family scandal, towns people taking sides, danger and the legend of Lost Souls…will this all be a part of what brings Zoe AND Padric back to where they left their hearts…belonging to each other or tear them apart forever?
When childhood best friends Padric and Zoe were ripped apart years ago because of family issues, they never imagine their paths would cross again…and they might not have if it weren’t for a couple of meddling teenagers.
Yours Since Yesterday is a wonderful second chance romance! Author Jenny Bernard is an amazing romance author and this love story will give you all the feels! There is a little mystery, family situations, laughter, PIZZA, and the gorgeous setting of Alaska! This is the second book in the Lost Harbor series, and can definitely be read as a stand-alone. There is also a drop-in from a different series by this author in here, which I always enjoy! 4.5 stars!
I was really curious about Zoe and Padric’s story when I got to the end of the first book in the series. I really liked Zoe in the first book, and her reaction to seeing Padric was so strong. I enjoyed their second-chance story. I also really liked the secondary characters, especially Monica and Alexis. There were lots of funny moments, lots of sweet parts, a few nailbiting stunners, and a great couple. I enjoyed it.
This is second book in the Lost Harbor, Alaska series and what a fantastic read it was. Zoe and Padric were best friends and decide to kiss. What happened next is terrible, with Padric and his family moving away. I won’t tell you why they moved though, lol. You’ll have read the book. Fifteen years pass and Padric returns. Why? Wait until you find out what Zoe’s twin sisters, Monica and Alexis did, lol. This is hilarious and so creative. Zoe not happy to see Padric at all, but we know she’ll come around. I loved reading what happens before and after they get together. Jennifer Bernard has quickly become one of my favorite authors and I absolutely love this series. If you love small towns, second chance romance, family, laughing out loud, love, sexy times, and/or suspense, then you need to grab this book and get ready to fall in love with these characters.
I received an advance reader copy of this book and this is my voluntary and honest review.
This book mixes everything women love but can also be read by men. This book has you rooting for a second chance romance and adds some mystery in the mix. I could not put this book down and cannot wait for the next one! Another nice thing about this book is that you can read it as a standalone, BUT you will want to read the first book and get more of a feel for this beautiful Alaska town!
I am in love with the little town of Lost Harbor, Alaska and its residents.
Fifteen years is a long time to spend without your best friend, but when Zoe and Padric are finally reunited, after being torn apart, it’s like no time has passed at all. No ‘Scandal’, family issues, superstition or rock star status can keep these two separated once they admit how they really feel.
I read an advanced copy of this book
If you like second chance love stories, then this is the book for you. Padric and Zoe were best friends growing up and when they were 13 they shared their first sweet kiss. Too bad right after that kiss both of their worlds blew up and they were forced away from one another due to a scandal. Even though they weren’t involved in the scandal it still ruined both of their lives at the time. Now 15 years later Padric is back in Lost Harbor and the minute he sees Zoe again, he knows that she is the one for him. Zoe isn’t quite ready to forgive Padric, but he is patient with her and slowly wins her back. These two seemed to still be on the same page with one another and their love grows based on that friendship that was the foundation for their relationship. These two make such a cute couple that you couldn’t help but cheer them on to their happily ever after. You also get to meet Zoe’s twin sisters in this story and trust me, you are going to love them.
Let me first say this is a standalone story however it is a book two in a series. I always enjoy reading about past characters but this book can be read on its own. Oh boy. And what a story it is! Zoe Bellini has a wonderfully, complicated family. I won’t go into too much detail as the author, Ms. Bernard, does a much better job of telling this story. However, Zoe has a friend named Padric Jeffers, from when they were wee ones, but they are torn apart when they are 15 years old. And let me just say, whoa.
Padric returns to Lost Harbor and what he finds there is not what he remembers. For one thing, Zoe is…gorgeous! And he and Zoe try to fight their mutual attraction and that’s what makes a great story. I could identify with Zoe’s familial responsibilities – her twin sisters are a hoot! Of course, if I had to help raise them, I might feel differently… Her mother is, well, difficult would be a good description. She has valid reasons to feeling the way she does however commandeering is a good word for her personality. And Zoe tries to take care of everyone.
Zoe’s and Padric’s passion flares hawt and they make a great couple. This is my simple explanation for a story that has fun and snark-fighting and crazy families and a bit of intrigue, but most of all, an HEA that can’t be beat. Looking forward to the next story in this series!
Think this is my favorite yet and can’t wait for more in this series. A second chance in a way. Friends from childhood reconnect, plenty of fun and laughs, the quirky small-town of lost harbor, friends, family and steam. Definitely a must read. I received a free copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving a review
Another wonderfully delightful trip to Lost Harbor
One of my favorite things about a Jennifer Bernard book is that I know I’m going to get a quirky small town romance with lots of steam: and Yours Since Yesterday is no exception!
Padric and Zoe were childhood friends on the cusp of becoming more when a scandal tore them apart. Now he’s back in town and they both can’t help but pick up where they left off. Watching them find their new normal that so easily slipped back to their old normal with some extra steam was so fun and emotional.
I also loved all the new Lost Harbor people we met who just seem to be perfect for stories of their own…meaning more trips to Lost Harbor!
I received a complimentary review copy of this book but all opinions are my own.
This is why second chance romances are one of my very favorite tropes! Padric and Zoe’s love story is absolutely wonderful and chock full of everything a romance book should have; it is sweet, charming, funny, sexy and emotional. Jenny Bernard never fails me with her incredible words and stories and this series also has the beautiful setting of Alaska to go with it. Zoe and Padric were best friends who as young teens decided to see what would happen if they kissed, and let me tell you they could never have predicted what actually did happen. Many years of separation follow until one day Padric, who is now a famous singer, finds his way back to Lost Harbor. Zoe, who has never left and has had bad luck with relationships ever since, is not as happy to see Padric as he is to see her. After all, he went back there for her. What happens after that is simply magical. I absolutely adore Padric and Zoe, their transforming relationship and everything about their story. This is a such a fantastic series!!!!
This was a wonderful second time around romance. Padric and Zoe were teenage best friends before a scandal rocked that friendship. Even though they weren’t involved in the scandal it basically ruined their friendship. Until Padric came back. After seeing each other for the first time in 15 yrs, Padric and Zoe both realized what they were missing. Friendship but also that connection that they felt with each other and no one else. Even though they both looked. When Padric and Zoe finally got together it was super HOT and I must say Padric surprised in me- in a very, very good way! I loved these two as a couple and yet the scandal that sent them apart still hung in the air around them.
I loved Zoe’s younger twin sisters, Monica and Alexis. They were hilarious and a handful for Zoe. I loved all the secondary characters- Nate, Maya, Ethan, Theo. Can’t wait for more books in this series.
