I am on love with this new little town of Lost Harbor, Alaska. Padric and Zoe were best friends on the brink of coming so much more when a scandal changed their lives. Padric left this little town and now has returned 15 years later. Zoe stayed and owns the local pizza joint, with a few failed relationships in her past. They now have a second chance for their relationship.
This story promises to bring you laughter, plenty of romance and a few tears will be shed. I loved these characters, such great chemistry. Zoe’s twin sisters were such a hoot! Great to catch up with previous characters. Looking forward to reading the next book in the series. Each book is a stand alone.
Zoe’s bad luck with men is EPIC! It all started as a teen. Zoe and Padric had been best friends forever, until that fateful day. On a hiking excursion after experiencing her first kiss, Zoe’s life as she knows it comes to an abrupt end. Zoe’s father and Padric’s mom had an affair that became fodder for town gossip for YEARS. Padric was able to escape the shame, gossip and taunts. Zoe wasn’t so lucky. Zoe’s parents had a volatile relationship to begin with, but it only got worse with the affair. Zoe’s bad luck with men continued with her following relationships. One even ended with her ex fiancé suing her. So, Zoe makes their family pizza shop her top priority.
Padric never thought he’d ever come back to Lost Habor, but certainly didn’t expect the chilly greeting he received from his former best friend Zoe. Especially when he came back for her, to help her. Padric left under a cloud of gossip, but came back a rock star. Although he’s been “living the life”, he never could forget the one he left behind. When he receives a letter “indicating” Zoe’s ill and needs help, he rushes to be by her side. As they become reacquainted, they soon discover her twin sister’s deception. But playing along leads to real feelings, a rekindling of their friendship. Will it be enough to bring them together or send him back on tour forever…
Woohoo . What a way to follow up with the second in the Lost Harbor series! So different, yet the same. The suspense was page turning! I actually didn’t guess the bad guy until the very end. I loved how manipulative the twins were, because it was for a good cause. Padric’s encouragement for Zoe to follow her dreams and submit her artwork was swoon worthy! And finally, I loved it when Zoe FINALLY stood up to her mom after all these years! I highly recommend this second chance novel. I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.
LOVE, PIZZA, AND ROCK N ROLL! What more could you ask for? Zoe and Padric found their second chance at love, but could they survive the life of a rock star and Zoe’s determination to save her family and never leave her home. Guess you’ll have to read this great story. It’s full of fun, humor, suspense and of course the beauty of Alaska. I received this ARC for an honest review.
Seems like this series just keeps getting better. I absolutely loved Zoe and Padric. This was kind of a best friends to lovers/second chance/star crossed lovers type romance. It had it all and my heart loved every moment. I was seriously worried how these two would achieve their HEA because there were so many things standing in their way. But I am so glad they worked it out and proved that love is the most important thing. Definitely a sigh worthy and sexy love story.
I loved reading Zoe and Padric’s story. This is a book about childhood friends-reunited-to-lovers. It is written in third person from dual POV.
Zoe does everything for everyone else before herself. She has put off dreams and given up on love after some bad luck in the romance department. Padric and Zoe were best friends until they were 15. After they were separated by a move, Padric grew to be an international music star. His return to Lost Harbor at a pivotal point in his career is eventful and life changing.
I loved the humor in this book. Zoe’s family is loud, energetic, and passionate- leading to some funny and poignant events. I love the friendship that Zoe and Padric share, their knowledge of how to read each other is such a treat. There is some drama, some mystery and some heartache along the way to their HEA. But Padric realizes what is important to him in his life. Zoe learns to take some chances, and to put her own happiness at a higher priority.
This series is a real joy for me and I cannot wait to read more.
Yours Since Yesterday is the second novel in the Lost Harbor, Alaska series which can be read as a standalone or as the second novel in the Lost Harbor, Alaska series, a second chance romance and is told in the third-person point of view.
First kisses are everything. When best friends, Padric and Zoe share their first kiss, their worlds are turned upside down by a single phone call and everything they know changes in an instant. Fifteen years later Padric postpones his tour to return home to Lost Harbor after receiving a letter from Zoe’s twin sisters stating that Zoe needs help. Padric is determined to make sure Zoe is fine and helps her. After reconnecting and realizing that he got scammed into returning home, Padric and Zoe are determined to move past the scandal that rocked their lives.
I fell in love with Padric and Zoe right from the beginning of the novel. Zoe’s twin sisters and the mystery of someone not wanting Padric back in Lost Harbor made this book extra intriguing. I can not wait for the next Lost Harbor book to reconnect with the Lost Harbor crew and see where their stories go. Another great novel by Jennifer Bernard.
Yours Since Yesterday is book two in the Lost Harbor, Alaska series. I was hooked from the start, and I couldn’t put it down. I love second-chance romances, and even though they were really young, the best of friends, and only shared a kiss, the feelings were still strong. Years later, they find themselves together again. Could this finally be their time? This book is definitely worth reading.
Lost Harbor, Alaska, is a place where strange things happen. Such is the case when Padric Jeffers, now rock star god, returns home after being whisked away from his best friend fifteen years earlier. Now, all grown up, he and Zoe will realize that sometimes your first love is your last love and putting yourself out there is the greatest reward. This novel is perfect for fans of Alaska, second chance romance, pizza, music, and taking risks. Take a risk on Bernard, you won’t be disappointed.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this novel.
Jennifer Bernard always has a lot of romance tied in with a little mystery. The second book in the Lost Harbor series is no exception. Zoe and Padric are the perfect couple. Once friends that had to go their separate ways to now getting a second chance. This story is full of page turning moments and a few antics from the twin sisters.
Zoe Bellini and Padric Jeffers were best friends in high school. On the verge of something else, their world and relationship collapsed around one scandal, leaving Zoe alone in Lost Harbor dealing with the fallout. Fifteen years later, Zoe has taken over the family business, but has had horrible luck in relationships. She’s more than shocked to see Padric at the helm of the boat entering the harbor, especially since her old friend is now a famous rock star. Why would he come back to Lost Harbor after so much time with not a word? Padric has finally come home, and he can’t stay away from Zoe, despite the fact that he never contacted her after he left.
As these two rekindle their friendship, can they take their second chance at a deeper relationship? Or are they doomed to the bad luck that separated them originally? Can they overcome Zoe’s mother’s anger toward anyone with the Jeffers last name? Not only that, who is out to hurt Padric?
Jennifer Bernard has done it again. This is the second novel in the series set in the small picturesque town of Lost Harbor, Alaska. The town is full of interesting characters, and Zoe and Padric are wonderful together. Two people who have always been in sync, something that time didn’t change. They are well-developed characters that have depth and flaws. The secondary characters, including Zoe’s family, add another layer to the story.
This is a standalone novel in the Lost Harbor, Alaska series and, as with Bernard’s other novels, it shouldn’t be missed. Her storylines and characters are well-developed and will keep you engrossed, running the gamut of emotions from laughter to tears. It seems every new book of Bernard’s becomes my favorite.

Yours Since Yesterday by Jennifer Bernard is the second in her new Lost Harbor series and another winner. Zoe and Padric start as friends years ago, are separated, and then of course meet again and fall in love. The story grabs you right from the beginning of the book and keeps you turning the pages. I highly recommend this book. Even though it can be read as a standalone, I enjoy reading series in order. Pick it up today. You will not be disappointed.
Yours Since Yesterday is the second book in Jennifer Bernard’s Lost Harbor series. Zoe and Padric were best friends growing up with their lives ahead of them. Then, their worlds implode with a phone call. Fifteen years later, Padric returns to Lost Harbor because of a mysterious letter. He hasn’t forgotten Zoe and she hasn’t forgotten him.
Once they find their way back to one another, they learn to deal with the impact from the phone call that still lingers, face her mother’s wrath and well as an unknown that puts their lives in jeopardy.
If you love reading second chance romances, Yours Since Yesterday is the perfect read. It’s filled with mystery, angst and romance. I love reading anything by Ms. Bernard. Her books capture me from the outset.
I highly recommend reading Yours Since Yesterday, and I look forward to reading the next book in the series.
I received an advance copy and chose to read Yours Since Yesterday. This is my honest opinion.
One of the best books I’ve read this year!
This book is about so much more than a second-chance; friends to lovers romance. It’s about believing in yourself. It reminds us that life is short and we have to grasp at the important things before it’s too late. It also shows us that we can’t be responsible for the “sins of the father” so to speak.
And family…..family is so important.
Such a great love story!
WOW!! I loved, loved, loved Zoe and Padric’s second chance love story in Yours Since Yesterday by Jennifer Bernard, book two in her Lost Harbor, Alaska series. When Padric mysterious reappears in Lost Harbor, Zoe is blown away. She can’t imagine that her one-time best friend would remember her let alone return to see her. In fact, since he left fifteen years ago, Zoe has had the worse track record possible when it can to men and romance. After receiving a mysterious letter concerning the well-being of his childhood/teen friend Zoe, rock star Padric finds himself postponing his tour and hopping on the next flight north. Zoe’s been on his mind and in his lyrics since he left her behind and once he sets eyes on the stunning grown-up version of his best friend, he knows he must do whatever it takes to have her, keep her and make her his this time around. Not everyone in town is excited about Padric’s return since it brings back memories of The Scandal and has someone doing their best to get rid of him. With all of the memories, crazy angsty fans, unexpected danger, and the family demands on Zoe, these two will still try to find their way back to loving each other.
Ms. Bernard wrote an amazing, visual, sexy and magical escape that is not to be missed. She provided a tale rich with sexual chemistry, amusing banter, and endearing characters giving Zoe Padric a chance at forever love. I highly recommend Yours Since Yesterday to other readers and can’t wait for the next story in this series.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
Oh what a steamy and touching story about a second chance to connect with a friend turned true love. Family circumstances got in the way of Zoe and Padric’s friendship and blossoming young love and 15 years later fate (or a trick) has brought them back together again. Things weren’t easy for these two to find their way back to each other, but True Love is never easy. I loved the challenges Zoe’s quirky family threw at the couple and the humor and heat that is always present in Bernard’s books. Looking forward to the next story in the series.
I found Jennifer Bernard’s “Yours Since Yesterday” to be a very enjoyable read, with likeable, well-developed main characters and an engaging, suspenseful plot. I particularly liked Zoe, the female lead; she was forced to shoulder a lot of responsibility for her family at a very young age, but still managed to face life with a generally positive attitude. It would have been so easy for Zoe to become bitter because of everything that she was forced to give up for her family, but she handled everything admirably. She even managed to pursue her true passion, sculpture, in her spare time, although she wasn’t able to turn it into a career. I really admired Zoe’s tenacity and the fact that she didn’t give up no matter what life threw at her.
As for the male lead, Padric, I really appreciated that he managed to remain grounded even after becoming a major recording artist and didn’t turn into an arrogant, detached celebrity who didn’t care about anyone but himself. The situation with his teenage fans was really tough, and I can completely understand why Padric would feel bad about it. I admired his efforts to put a stop to what they were doing, but unfortunately, it’s impossible to control other people’s behavior, and teenagers are especially stubborn. Also unfortunate is that there really are sick people in this world who would threaten Padric over what was happening, even though it wasn’t his fault.
Zoe and Padric’s relationship development seemed nicely paced to me. I especially loved how they worked together to trick Zoe’s sisters into taking responsibility for their wrongdoing in convincing Padric to come back to Lost Harbor. It was a fun way to get Padric and Zoe past their initial awkwardness and back to being friends. The flirtatious text messages they exchanged after that were very cute, and things seemed to grow organically from there.
The secondary characters in this story were also very interesting and a lot of fun, and I am definitely looking forward to reading the next book in this series to see what happens with them. It would be great to see Padric’s friend Nate get a story of his own!

A second-chance romance by Jennifer Bernard? Yes please!!
Yours Since Yesterday was a sweet, second chance love story set in the small Alaskan fictional town of Lost Harbor. We met Zoe in book 1 but each book stands alone. Zoe is a great character. She is full of the Greek spirit that she inherited from her parents and has her hands full running the family pizza parlor and helping raise her twin teenage sisters. She never got to experience life as she had hoped because at 15 her world as she knew it blew up and her best friend Padric moved away never to be heard from again. Now it’s 15 years later and Padric has returned home to Lost Harbor. He is now a world famous singer of teenage angst music and why is he returning now? Well in order for he and Zoe to have a second chance they have a lot to work through and it appears that not everyone wants Padric back in Lost Harbor. This really is a sweet story and it is told from dual POV so you will get to connect with both of the characters and find out why Padric left and why he stayed away for so long. I completely recommend this series and I hope that there will be more to come out of Lost Harbor.
Zoe and Padric were best friends. His Father packed them up and move away. He is now a famous singer, she owns her family’s pizza place. Her twin sisters send Padric a note that Zoe is sick. He goes back, and finds out they lied to him. They need a singer for The Last Chance to Rock Music Festival, a delivery boy for the Last Chance Pizza asked him before the girls did. He and Zoe figured it out when she read the note. They hang out, help a couple hurt in a plane wreck. Zoe’s Mother gets sick, they bid on Padric to sing to their Mom forna fundraiser for the fire dept. Padric leaves to go on tour, survives someone trying to hurt him, and finally Zoe admits she loves him. He leaves but comes back for the concert as a secret performer.
The next book is about Nate and a Doctor named Bethany.
I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.
Brace for Bliss
A bombshell start to a thrilling story! I fell insta-love with Padric. Sure, he is an outstanding songwriter and rock star with good looks (hhmmmm), but his compassionate nature totally floored me. And then there is Zoe. She is a firecracker running a thriving business, a caretaker and promising artist. Reuniting after fifteen years (at the sneaky doing of Monica and Alexis, Zoe’s mischievous twin sisters), life and love just seems to not be working out for Padric and Zoe. Lost Souls Wilderness seems to have it in spades for them, as well as Zoe’s mother! There are many twists and turns, some hilarious, some dramatic, which had me glued to my Kindle. A great continuation of the Lost Harbor Series with its lovable and quirky townies. A definite must read.
I am running out of adverbs and adjectives to sing Ms Bernard’s praises. An exceptional author with awesome talent. Eagerly awaiting Seduced by Snowfall!
