Lewis and Madison have both lived in Mercy for years, but they’ve rarely crossed paths. When they’re set up on a blind date, it turns out they have an instant attraction. But Lewis hangs out at the Neighborhood Bar on a daily basis and Madison has a hard time understanding that it’s not to drink.Tragedy hit Madison at a young age and created a belief that alcohol leads to nothing but trouble. She … trouble. She has problems separating the social aspect and the inebriation aspect of drinking. So, when Lewis is hit hard in his professional life and Madison sees him drunk at the bar, Will she be quick to judge or can she learn to understand that sometimes a drink doesn’t define a man?

This is book nine of the Neighborhood series and it is awesome. Lewis and Madison are great. He is a regular at the bar but goes more often than not just to socialize. She can’t abide by drinking after a tragedy in her past. But the attraction is instantaneous and mutual. Can they work things out??? Or course. Read this book and see how they get their hea. Recommend this book, this series, and this author

Another quick, sexy and fun read for this series. We get enough information on the characters to be informative without being overly wordy, there’s plenty of chemistry between the characters and the sexy times are hot. Realistic dialogue and the story itself has a good flow.
When I started reading this story, I could not put it down. I read the book in one day. This author is an awesome writer. I can not wait to read more of their books. Keep up the great work. You should definitely read this book.

This is the 9th book in The Neighbourhood series. This one is about Lewis (computer designer who works from home and craves company) and Madison (she works at the diner and has just become a nurse) They meet through mutual friends and hit it off. Madison has a problem with anyone who drinks as her father was killed by a drunk driver. She sees Lewis worst for wear and assumes incorrectly that hes a drinking problem. So judgmental! Now will these two sort out their differences and get their HEA???

Another great read in Mercy where we have bar regular Lewis a professional programmer who officially meets waitress Madison when he’s catching up with Cooper & Nydia.
Madison always had a picture of why Lew was always in the bar & we hear why she had never tried to find out more about him & why he always is in there. We also see how quick things turn around between them
This was a great book and the characters were fantastic! I loved how the story played out and I could not put it down! I really enjoyed it and I would recommend it to others!

An enjoyable, fast pace, and steamy book nine in The Neighborhood series! It is a well written, well developed, funny, and engaging page turner that moves at a brisk pace with some ups and downs. The characters are likeable with amazing chemistry between them. I look forward to reading more from this series. Definitely recommended!

I’ve read several books written by Tarrah Anders; she has done a great job at writing a good book; she is becoming one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of books her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.
I loved the chemistry between the characters.

This book can be read as a standalone book but you’ll know the other characters better if you’ve read the previous books in the series. Don’t worry if you haven’t read the previous books prior to this one, you won’t be lost. Like all the other books this one is enjoyable, has wonderful characters and pulls you in right away. Warning that once you start reading you won’t want to put it down.

He may have hung out at the bar a lot but did not drink much. He had his own problems at some point and did not factor in how drinking makes it so much worse. He learned before so he can do it again.

This book was an enjoyable book. It was a short, quick read. Whilst you don’t have to have read the whole series it does help to read them in order. It was an easy read that had me hooked from the start. It was a page turner that I couldn’t put down.

Sometimes your judgement stops the best thing from coming into your life
Just think of Norm on Cheers and you get the idea of Lewis in Your Neighborhood Regular. If you don’t know who Norm or Cheers are then I just dated myself, eeeeek, but do a search and learn something new.
Anyway, back to the review. Lewis is at The Neighborhood Bar almost every day since he moved to Mercy. He is not a huge drinker and he seems to eat most of his meals at the bar also. But you have to understand that he works from home and the bar is the place where he interacts with other people.
Madison is one of the waitresses at the diner and she does not go to The Neighborhood Bar. Her father was killed by a drunk driver so she does not drink nor hang with people who do. However, she is a good friend with Nydia and Lewis is friends with Cooper.
Lewis and Madison meet when they are introduced by Nydia and Cooper one night at the bar. Right from the start Madison is judging Lewis because she knows he is a regular at the bar. But they have a fun evening hanging out and when he walks her home they keep talking and decide to hang the next evening also. One thing leads to another and they do enjoy each others company. But during the next few weeks Madison sees Lewis when he is “in his cups”. He does have a reason for each – once in celebration and once after a really bad financial hit from a client. But Madison really judges Lewis and even goes so far as to leave him passed out on the sidewalk the second time.
For me this was a really well written story with a solid story-line and some wonderful characters. I am just going to say that I liked Lewis a lot. He is shy, honorable, hard working, interesting and kind of like a puppy. Madison I was not so enamored with as I found her judgement of others to be a bit much at times, especially when she left Lewis on the sidewalk. But the HEA came in the end and I was also happy to read a bit more about Nydia and Cooper, I just love that reformed bad boy.

I enjoyed this book from beginning to end. It was a great with the having characters that are well developed and engaging and have plenty of chemistry. The flow of the storyline was steady and smooth.

This is book 9 in The Neighborhood series and the first one that I have read but it can read as a standalone. Lewis and Madison has known each other in a sense for a while but never really met. They meet at a bar where Madison thinks that Lewis is an alcoholic because he is a regular there. All because you are regular somewhere doesn’t mean that you partake in those activities but Madison had some bad experiences in her past so she jumps to the wrong conclusion. Good story with good characters that will keep you reading to see if they can overcome and get the HEA they both deserve.

I enjoyed this story immensly. It is a sweet, fun and easy read. I did not connect with the heroine, but I loved the chemistry between the protagonists.

Cheers
Lewis is the Norm at the bar, a regular.
Told from his first person POV.
I did like both he and Madison. But I agree way more with Madison. They disagree on his intake. It felt like he was trying to justify drinking, and ten shots is excessive and probably wouldn’t be served. There no excuse for drinking and people drink to remember and escape.

Madison is finishing school, and is ready to become the nurse for Luke’s medical practice. She goes out with friends one night, and meets Lewis. She has one concern – he seems to hang out at The Neighborhood a lot, and her parents were killed by a drunk driver, so she has little tolerance for alcohol. He convinces her that he just hangs out there, but doesn’t really drink that much. They hit it off and begin to date. He gets really drunk on the night that his best friends get engaged, and that’s a huge turnoff for her. And then it happens again when he loses his job and finds out he won’t get paid for work already completed. I really love this book – easy to read, the characters I love from other books show up here, Madison and Lewis have great chemistry. I can hardly believe that we’re at book 9 in this series – I’ve enjoyed reading all of them and getting to know this cast of characters.

Another great addition to this series with many memorable moments such as the sex toy scene. I also think that this is the cutest couples in the series yet.

This is book nine in The Neighborhood series. Each book could be read as a standalone but to truly get to know the folks of Mercy and their stories, it is best to read the whole series. All the characters become connected through the town bar referred to as The Neighborhood Bar. This is Lewis and Madison’s story. They have known about each other a d seen each other around town from time to time but it takes an official introduction from Cooper and Nydia to get the spark going. Once that spark is started though, it is full steam ahead. Until one day Lewis has a bad day at work and goes down to the bar to bury his day. Madison finds him, drunk at the bar and attempts to get him home. She then shows up at his place the next day with Lewis severely hung over and breaks up with him. This is not an easy road but can they work through this? Can Madison move forward and relax the reigns from her past? Another well written story in the series. Enjoy!
