Really enjoyed this next book in the Neighborhood series. Loved the idea of a service that offers cuddles and comfort. But loved even more when that turns into something else!! Beginnings of a new relationship can be hard and the fact it started with cuddles and get to know you sets them up for forever! Can’t wait for more of the Neighborhood!!
This was an enjoyable read. It was a short, quick read and was hot and steamy in parts. It was about a girl, Deb who craved human contact so hired a ‘cuddler’. It was an easy, one sitting read, that was a page turner. There was no plot twist and finished with a HEA.
I received a free ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Deb and Darrel were an amazing couple. I think they were made for eachother. The chemistry was really good. I thought the story was unique and well written.
Favorite book in The Neighborhood Series! Deb and Darrel’s meeting was so unique, it facilitated me, and I just had to keep turning the pages. I absolutely adored this couple!
This collection of short stories just keeps getting better. I love the way characters from past stories wind through each book. This one made me smile a whole lot. I wonder if there truly are professional cuddlers out there…
A cuddle buddy is a quirky way to meet a guy, but it worked for Darrel and Deb. The Neighborhood Bar is getting packed with new couples and the town of Mercy won’t be small for long. Newcomers arrive single and stay coupled. Deb works at the bar and meets Darrel, in between a job change he takes on cuddling for money. It’s unique and was a bit surprising. This set of books is fun, hot and original, all are standalone. Received an early copy, review was voluntary.
Snuggle in for a quick, satisfying read!!
I’m loving all these citizens of Mercy or neighboring towns we get to meet!! Deb is one of Noah’s waitresses. The dearth of good single make companionship has led to her using a cuddle service for the human contact she craves. She meets Darrell when her regular cuddle buddy calls in. She finds him irresistible and vice versa. He soon stops being her buddy to be her boyfriend. Sweet, sexy, and welcoming. It’s like moving to a new town and meeting new people & places every book. Perfect way to wind down after a long day. Love it!! I received a review copy. I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Oh, I felt for Deb. She didn’t want to be outed and possibly humiliated as the subject of gossip, but she wanted human contact and affection. It’s just a lucky coincidence that her fill-in cuddler for an appointment is Darrel. They keep it professional and platonic until emotions and attraction finally win the day and the move toward a real relationship happens. They still have to work out exactly how to make their lives mesh, as people do in the real world, which makes this series of short stories all the more enjoyable and realistic, and makes their HEA that much more believable.
If you find yourself with some time to kill and don’t want to dive into something that’s hundreds of pages long just to get some feel-good vibes and a sense of small-town life, I say reach for any of the stories in this series. You’ll be glad you did.
I liked this quick read and its unique story. I thought both characters were enjoyable. The initial spark of attraction, the simmering chemistry and the growing connection between Deb and Darrel was very easy to feel. A bit of drama, lots of steam and a touch of sweetness help round out this entertaining book.
3.5 stars****. Interesting new concept: cuddlers. Deb lives in a really small town with a very limited supply of available men so she uses an agency that provides cuddle buddies. Sometimes you just want some comforting human contact. She has two regulars three times a week to relax and de-stress. Then Darrel shows up in place of her regular guy who had a family emergency. Eventually, they each want more together. Short, sweet and steamy!

This is another in the Your Neighborhood series. As expected, the characters are totally delightful and draw you into the book from the onset. Deb is a waitress at the bar who is also taking classes to be a teacher. She craves human contact, but relationship-type men are few and far between in Mercy. She settles for ‘cuddle’ buddies. Darrel, a trained medic, got burned out on the ER rig and needed a chance to give back, so he became a cuddle buddy. While subbing for a friend, Darrel meets Deb, and after several sessions, they find that they both want something more. Cancelling her future appointments with Darrel, they begin exploring a real relationship. When outside forces start to put pressure on their budding relationship, will it wither and die or continue to blossom? Read this current installment of Your Neighborhood series to find out!
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest, unbias review.
