Their past is the key to everything, but the move to the future has yet to be made.Years ago, Detective Melisandre Watson made a decision to walk away from the love of her life, but she never stopped thinking about him. When Mel’s case suddenly takes an interesting turn, she starts to doubt everything in her life. She can’t catch the perp, she has another mystery she can’t seem to solve, and her love life is non-existent. The onus is on her. The question is, will she make the right move and choose love?

Mel pushed Vaughn away years ago when he left on assignment to Dubai. She thought she couldn’t be what he deserved. Vaughn has loved her since high school but can he forgive her for always running away?
This was a fun, second chance read. Mel is a tough, take no crap kind of woman. Vaughn is obviously a romantic at heart. I loved that he wasn’t trying to change Mel and he respected her career choice. Your Move is a sweet read with a side of mystery. I am looking forward to reading more books by Rayvn Salvador.
Your Move turned out to be a good story with a happy ending. It started off pretty slow but it all came together. Sad what Vaughan had to experience during his time as a journalist. That is something that can be life changing. Being back with his true love should help him heal mentally. Mel acknowledges her issues and vows to work on them so they can move forward. They enjoy their happy ending and move forward.

Melisandre is still thinking of Vaughn years after sending him packing for the second time. Mel has a commitment problem. She does not think she is good enough for him. Mel will not admit she loves Vaugh. Vaughn loves Mel but cannot tell her. When they finally mesh… This is full of action and should appeal to adult lovers of steamy romance stories. Highly recommended.

The last time Mel pushed Vaughn away she was working her way up in the police dept and wanting to become a detective. Vaughn was overseas working for a magazine. After years away, Vaughn moves back to help his parents move and hopefully rekindle things with Mel. She’s busy on big case and her emotions concerning Vaughn are all over the place. This was a story with many different elements. Mystery and intrigue, second chance romance and emotions from heartbreak and PTSD. Vaughn was patient with Mel and finally stood up and communicated what he needed from her. Mel finally realizes she has been selfish and must learn that there are people, who care about her and love her. An awesome must read book. Can’t wait for the next book in this series. I received an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

My blog admin asked me to read and review this, and I have to be honest, I was a bit hesitant at first. I had never heard of the author and I don’t normally read straight romance, I’m more of a paranormal and fantasy reader. But I have to say, this surprised me. While the theme was a little out of left field–the heroine finding something in her purse that didn’t belong–I found out later this was originally released in a limited edition boxed set that was available for a couple of months–the story that went along with it was sound and very entertaining.
There was intrigue and mystery, and a great strong heroine moment, and while at times I wished the hero would stop being such a pushover, he did tick my box for the sweet and sensitive book boyfriend that I sometimes look for. And the sexy times were…steamy. 🙂
I will definitely be searching out more from this author.
