Gossip is the ultimate currency in Rosemary Beach, but Bethy and Tripp have managed to keep one big secret to themselves. Eight years ago, Tripp Newark was dating a rich girl he didn’t like and was on his way to Yale–and a future he didn’t want. The only way he could escape his predictable life would be to give up the money and power that came with his family’s name. And that’s exactly what he … exactly what he planned to do. At the end of the summer, he was going to ride off on his Harley and never look back.
That was before he met Beth Lowry.
It was only supposed to be a summer fling. She was a sixteen-year-old trailer-park girl who served drinks to his friends at Kerrington Country Club. They didn’t run in the same social circles. No one even knew they were friends, let alone lovers. Yet, for one summer, Bethy became his entire world.
But he couldn’t give up on his plan. He needed to leave Rosemary Beach, but he vowed he would come back for her.
Problem was, by the time he came back–years later than promised–it was too late. His cousin, Jace, had already claimed the woman he loved…more
I really enjoyed “You Were Mine” by Abbi Glines. This book is a continuation the storyline in the series but goes deeper into some of the secondary characters. This book is so well written and the characters very engaging. So many twists along the way that leave you wanting more. I’ve already fallen in love with these characters and can’t wait to see what comes next. If you haven’t read this series, you need to do yourself a favor and pick up these books. This is a long-running series with 13 books. You won’t regret it – they are a great addition to your book collection.
Happy Reading…Enjoy!
First and foremost, I am glad they gave us a book that digs into the life/past of Tripp. He seemed like such an important character when we were reading about Della, but we didn’t know enough about him. This book gives you all the know of Tripp and his past with Bethy. I feel like we should get more about Tripp and Bethy, a second book like we got with Harlow. Regardless though, I loved this book just as much as the first eight in this series.
(4.5 stars)
I cannot get enough of this series & knew going in this had the potential to be an emotional story. It was but not overly so. Going in we have a hint that Bethy & Tripp have a history. I liked that only some chapters were flashbacks & that we can get the gist of what happened. I was also tremendously grateful that Jace’s memory was not tarnished during the telling of this story. The last few books I’ve read with a characters death, their relationships are put down or made to be less than believed. I was a bit let down by the ending. Probably because I just wanted more of them. It felt a bit more rushed but because of their history, it wasn’t unbelievable. This was a beautiful story & if any two characters deserve another book it’s these two.
Have you ever read a series that made you feel like you were coming home every time you picked up the next book? That’s the Rosemary Beach Series for me! Very few authors have the ability to make me feel that, but Abbi Glines is definitely one of the few!
I’m totally in love with the characters in all the Rosemary Beach and Too Far books! Tripp though? OMG he’s amazing!! Bethy worked her way into my heart throughout the series too. Love that girl -hang ups and all! Author Abbi Glines has an amazing talent for making characters relatable to anyone in one way or another. They’re all so well developed and seriously feel like people we know and love, or even maybe love to hate….
Read this series people!! Just 1-Click them all right now! It’s unbelievably AWESOME! It’s heart warming, heart breaking, sexy, emotional, fun, and just GREAT!
I look forward to my visits to Rosemary Beach because I know that I am always in for a real reading treat, and as always this one did not disappoint! Ms. Glines has done it again!
