JakeThey say People change over time. That might be true, but I’ve had people look down at me not once, but twice. Both times, I dusted off my shoulders and carried on. When my fiancée broke things off with me, it wasn’t her voice that I heard. Instead, it was Juliet Dunnett in my head, her snobby tone telling me why I wasn’t good enough. Now she’s back in town. No husband, no ring, looking sad … looking sad and lonely as ever. I can’t help but want to help her out. Can I get close to her without falling for her again?
Juliet
Coming back to town when I swore people would watch the dust settle after I left wasn’t as humiliating as I thought it would be. Looking for Jake Carson was another story. We were never friends and I was never his girlfriend, but we had something. Something that wasn’t but still was. I didn’t need a new relationship, but I was alone. All my bridges were burned and who would have thought he of all people would be my hero? Could I be near him without letting sins from our past catch up to us?

This book was exciting and entertaining to read. It’s a beautiful small town/second chance story that’s packing, lots of emotions, funny characters and a very interesting storyline.
If you have never read any book by author C. Lymari, then you are in for a treat. She writes characters that you as a reader can relate too. Her stories are heart warming and there’s always a message you can take away after reading.
Jake and Juliet’s story made me laugh so much, from the banter between Jake and his family to the way Juliet and Jessa began their friendship. Jessa is the surprise of this book. Her character is going to steal your heart. She’s bright, funny, sassy and the a total sweetheart.
Wow, how does C Lymari, manage to make the next in the series even better? But she did, and I think out of the 3 thus far Jale and Juliet are my fave hot couple, dont get me wrong I loved 1 & @ and both sets of couples and their stories sucked me in and set me up for the next instalment.
What can you say about Jake? Let me count the ways. Hot ,Alpha, Tender, Devoted and Committed to his family and friends, Loyal and deep in denial for a certain redhaired that secretly broke him when he was younger and when she turns back upon in town again, he sets out again to deny the feelings he had for her then and still has for her now.
Juliet has once again returned to Sunny Pines with her secrets that she left Sunny Pines with and some new darker ones that once has her returning.
With a family that dont really talk to her and a secret she keeps from her brothers, Juliet once again tries to start her life once more, but then she comes across that boy she tried to protect and never stopped wanting.
I loved all the underlying feelings that these two had for each other and I especially loved how it was still all based around our past characters and fave Coffee Shop. It was like returning to watch my favourite episodes in the Series Hart Of Dixie.
Sunny pines where the coffee is hot and fine and the Men are hotter and damn fine. Take a yonder in this series, I guarantee you wont regret it. So looking forward to our next alpha hero coming through, Prescott Dunnett. Now here is a man worth looking forward to. Enemies to Lovers, loved it want more and I want to move to Sunny Pines. “Isnt it funny how, day by day nothing changes, but wehn you look back, everything is different. C S Lewis”
Thats Sunny Pines, always the same the people and the stories change, and from when our characters are in High school and groiwing up until now, yes it is different, but its better, so much better.
Thank you Claudia xx
Oh my Sunny Pines! I just love this place. Love going back there and seeing what everyone is up too.
Jake and Juliet’s story was such an emotional one. But it was lovely and I didn’t want to put it down. There are some very serious issues in this one that might be an issue to some readers.
I have always loved Jake from the other two books. He just seemed so sweet and caring for everyone and I get why his nickname is Bear cuz I can see it with how he acts. So when I saw it was his story and Juliet was the heroine I was so excited!
You get a little bit of Juliet in the other books, not much but enough to get you interested in her and wanting to know more. She absolutely killed me in this book. My heart broke for her but to see how she took care of herself and others with everything she was going through, ugh my girl was so strong even if she didn’t see it.

recommend!
This is the 3rd book in this phenomenal series, and is Jake and Juliet’s story. Each story in this series just seems to get better and better. Juliet returns to her hometown broken and abused, and unwelcome by her family and towns people. Jake and Juliet have a connection, and this story flits between the past and present in order to get a background on why they are the people they are today. This is a beautifully written story which is heartbreaking, emotional, raw, gritty, intense, and a wonderful friends / lovers’ scenario. Be warned there may be triggers for some readers! I cannot wait to read more from this talented author.
Sunny Pines may not be sunny for Juliet! The white collar daughter (Juliet). The blue-collar son (Jake). I suppose the theme has started. No way can there be something between these two. Not if Juliet’s dad has any say, and believe me he did. Marrying Chad and moving away. Best thing right? Nope. She’s divorced now and back. What’s up with Jake? Still in the picture? Will these two become friends? More? There was so much emotion in this book. I was happy; I was sad; I was angry. I love when a book makes me feel! I love to laugh; crying is cathartic. I think Ms. Lymari did a great job evoking so may different emotions from me. Thank you for a wonderfully romantic read!
The characters were written with such great detail and depth and the storyline was so well written that as I turned each and every page I felt like Juliet and Jake jumped from the pages and pulled me right into their story as it effortlessly unfolded!
Welcome back to “Sunny Pine” and “You Were Always Home” (HOCO series book 2) by the amazing and super talented Claudia Lymari. Can I just say this is for me the best book from Claudia, I absolutely love the story, the characters and everything about this book. Even though it cover domestic violence I think the way Claudia deliver this topic its amazing. The main Characters Juliet (which I absolutely adore) and Jake (who is ohh so sexy, loyal and caring) are the perfect couple who in reality had feelings for each other while in High school but circumstances didn’t allowed them to be together then. Years later Juliet its back in town coming from a really bad relationship and determine to star all over and thats were she sees Jake again and sparks fly even though they try to deny it. This book gave me all the feels; lots of angst, love, happiness, sadness, it make me laugh but also made me cry because there were some very unfortunate parts in the story but also beautiful because from this like a phoenix it rises to healing and mending broken hearts. Bravo Chica *cheers and applause* you did it again Claudia, I love this series and can’t wait for whats to come.
