Once upon a time, my family name meant something. It meant everything. Then my father was taken away and my world was shattered. Where our name once brought glory and recognition, now it brings only disdain. Now when I roam the halls of Crescent Academy, I’m nothing.A nobody.A forgotten girl who gets nasty looks from everyone.Especially Gavin. There was a time when our families were close. Our dads … time when our families were close. Our dads were practically brothers. Now Gavin can’t stand to even look at me.
Now he’s nothing but a bully.
And he makes my life hell at every fucking chance.
YOU SUCK is a high school bully romance. Not for the faint of heart.

I can’t believe that he did not know that he was bullying her. Gavin and Emilia have known each other for years. Let’s just say their dad’s missed up. Gavin was not very good to her.
The author has given us characters that let their emotions run their lives. Gavin and Emilia grew up together and were best friends until the night their fathers were arrested. Gavin blames Emilia for his loss and takes his anger out on her by being a bully. Emilia pulls into herself and lets him treat her any way he needs to.

Rating of 3.5 stars. I liked the story, but feel it needed more bullying in the beginning. There is reference to years of Gavin bullying Emilia, but I’d like to read exactly what he did. I’m a sucker for bully romances and like to see more angst and suffering before the love, lol. I see that Adalee has her own story coming and hope to see more angst with her relationship. I will definitely give Sophie Stern another go.

What an amazing book that I quite thoroughly enjoyed a lot! These two were just so great. I love high school bully romances and this is definitely a favorite of mine for sure!
Second chance romance? Possibly. Emilia and Gavin were friends until middle school. Their fathers were business partners and embezzled money. When they were caught and sent to prison Gavin blamed Emilia because of her father. He has bullied her for five year at school. When she finally stands up to him and tells him some truths about that time everything changes. But there were more secrets that even Emilia didn’t know. How can Gavin and Emilia ever become friends again? She has been hurt by him too much. Publicly in front of the entire school. From the very beginning, this book had me hooked. I didn’t want to put the book down and could not put it wait to see what was going to happen next. I loved the storyline and the main characters had a chemistry that drew me into the story. Through all the twists and turns, I couldn’t help but root for Gavin and Emelia. Definitely a book you should read!!!

A fairly short read, I easily read it in 3 hours cover to cover. The main characters go through a lot, especially Emilia when Gavin who once was her friend decides to make her life unbearable. There are some well written twists in this book that helped to hold my attention. It’s a good book that may not be fore everyone due to the bullying.

Gavin and Emilia are sharing there first kiss when all hell brakes loose. Gavin has blamed Emilia’s father for the past five years. Gavin has also bullied Emilia too. Five years has past but he still has this hate for Emilia. Emilia is pretty much on her own even though her aunt is responsible for her. Emilia lives on Crescent Academy because of a scholarship. Emilia soon gets tried of all the bullying that Gavin is doing and says enough is enough and stands up to him. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. I enjoyed reading this book. I loved the storyline and plot. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and I am voluntarily leaving a review.

I really enjoy this authors books. She writes wonderfully. I definitely recommend her. I’ve read quite a few books by her and I love them all for different reasons.
This book had me feeling all kind of feelings. Emilia is just trying to get through her last year until graduation. She’s lost everything in life. Her father, her mother, even her best friend, Gavin. Unfortunately she has to see him ever day. He bullies her relentlessly but also craves her. He blames her for everything he lost.
There are so many secrets and turns in this book that makes for an interesting read. Everything they think they know ends up not being the whole story. A must read. Loved it.
I usually don’t read bully stories as I know they hurt people and destroy peoples lives. This was pretty good overall. Gavin and Emilia were best friends and even shared their first kiss at age 13. Then something happened between their fathers and the scandal brought humiliation, broken families, and loss. Gavin takes out his anger and hurt on Emilia and for 5 long unhappy years she takes his hate. Finally Emilia breaks down and gives Gavin what for and reveals some secrets he didn’t know about. He’s been a fool all this time. Can he ever get Emilia to forgive him? Will they be able to put this behind them and have a happy ending. I enjoyed this book very much. At least he grew some cahonas and backed off. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Excellent novel of enemies / lovers
4.5
It’s a very good story, very well written, and quite thrilling as the events are difficult at the start, then the discovery of the truth of Gavin and Emilia’s past, sheds new light on their lives and on their relationship full of hate, from Gavin initially.
I really liked these characters, especially the way Emilia changes the situation around by placing Gavin in front of his behavior. It’s not an extremely dark romance either, however, it’s it has put me on an emotional roller coaster many times.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book
Wow this book get so hot you may need a cold shower I absolutely could not get enough of this I was hooked from the first page great writing job bravo loved it and if anyone is looking a steamy wonderful read then add this one to your list you will not be disappointed I was not, I loved it
a relationship that goes from online bullying to instant lust too quickly with the story too inconsistent. the characters were just not that enjoyable to even feel for them. i do not like bully stories that much for personal reasons but to have the character not even realize he’s bullying her just was too over the top.

Emilia and Gavin used to be best friends, did everything together and even shared their first kiss. Then everything changed, their dads committed a crime and in their actions caused Gavin to hate Emilia. Emilia has no one except an aunt that is virtually non existent, just trying to survive her senior year but when Gavin posts a humiliating picture of her – she has had enough and she isn’t going to take anymore of his crap. The last thing Gavin expects is for Emilia to stand up to him, he knew he shouldn’t have posted the picture but he couldn’t stop himself. Now that the tables have turned, Gavin is giving into his feelings that he has buried deep down for her. As they both learn truths behind their dads crimes and more secrets are revealed, will the love that Emilia and Gavin have for one another be able to finally be shared or will they hide it forever.
I enjoyed this story, but I felt like it was missing a little something. I found that I couldn’t really connect with the characters and the plot moved really quick from bullying to love – there was no inbetween, where their friendship was rekindled. I think if there was more work put towards that and the plot was slowed down a little, I would have loved this story.

This was my first book by this author, and I was not disappointed. The characters are well developed, and are so easy to fall for. These 2 characters have a difficult past, but are determined to leave their past behind them and look towards their futures. 2 strong people who deserve to be loved.

Childhood & family friends Emilia (FMC) & Gavin have a falling out of epic proportions. Ones not not of their making but due to their fathers (who are business partners) getting arrested for embezzlement. The repercussions of which cause Gavin to hold Emilia responsible for her fathers actions. Starting a bullying campaign which hes kept going for the last 5 years but things come to a head and things that he though were true turn out not to be. As more truths get uncovered Gavin has to face the discomfort and guilt of his actions. At the beginning of this book i hated Gavin for his attitude towards Emilia and how he treated her. He honestly needed a slap. Through the course of the book i could see that it was just two characters hurting and using that as an excuse for one to hurt the other one. Then i changed my mind i really wanted them to work it out and get together. A bittersweet love story but quite a good read all the same
