Love this book! I’ve read all of your books! Enjoyed them all!
I was sort of hesitant to try this new series. I loved all the books in the Fool’s Gold series. But Susan Mallery did a fantastic job of creating a new series and a new town. Happily Inc. is an interesting town that I’m looking forward to learning more about. It was great to see Nick Mitchell and his twin brothers again. Aside from that, the story was all about family, friends, lovers and making weddings happen to fulfill a couple’s dreams. Pallas, the owner of Weddings in a Box, learned some lessons about herself and her family as well. Don’t want to give anything away. And I can’t wait to read the next in this series.
I loved this book and look forward to my Mom reading it also.
Terrible read. Characters unbelievable . Story unbelievable.
Eek! Susan Mallery is back with a new small town romance series called Happily Inc. And this first book, You Say It First is absolutely wonderful. If you loved her Fool’s Gold series then you’re going to love this too. Nick Mitchell used to live in Fool’s Gold but he moved to Happily Inc with his brothers. They’re all artists and this new town is filled with so many creative and artistic people. I loved meeting all the secondary characters in this book but I especially loved Pallas, the heroine. She was so lovable and sweet. I loved how her character developed and I loved that she was able to teach Nick a thing or two about being brave and about love. Definitely a sigh worthy story with lots of strong friendships and relationships that just makes you feel so good. A new fictional town, with some quirks, that I wish I was a part of.
*I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book*
Another great story from Susan Mallery. Two people find each other and love after they dispose of their preconceived ideas of what “Love” is. One thinks love is only given when “earned”. The other thinks certain people, like artists, are too passionate and can not be trusted in loving relationships without hurting each other.
As they grow and find love they find out the true meaning of loving another person.
This is the first of a new series set in the town of Happily Inc. I am looking forward to visiting this town again in future books.
I Love Susan Mallery books. They are always relaxing and entertaining.
I was worried that this new series would be to much like Mallery’s Fool’s Gold books, especially since we revisit some characters from that series, but was pleasantly surprised. There was no cause for worry, Happily Inc. is a wedding town filled with people, animals, and a heart all its own. It was delightfully warm and amusing leaving me wanting to know more about the town and its citizens. I was captivated from the beginning to end; one minute I was crying and the next had me filled with laughter. Mallery knows how to truly bring words to life and pull emotions right out of her readers . I genuinely look forward to meeting more of the people of Happily Inc and the writing that she has to offer.
Oh my goodness! A new series to dive into and make friends with the characters. That is exactly what you will do since this is a character driven story and the characters are so well written you will feel as if you are neighbors and best friends. Pallas has inherited the company she works for even though she is supposed to end up working for her family in finance (not that she really wants to). She is perfect for Weddings in a Box but she needs to keep it going and thriving in order to keep it going and she needs ideas. Nick Mitchell is just the man for her, artistic, good with his hands, and definitely has some ideas. These two have great chemistry and even though they try to deny it, there is no getting around the fact they work great together. Will it turn into more or will the demons each carries tear them apart? This is one you have to read!
I definitely recommend this one!
After hearing how much his brothers love living in Happily Inc. Nick Mitchell is curious about the little town, so with some time on his hands before his next sculpting gig, he decides to check it out. Before long the romantic little town starts to win him over too, and he is really starting to see the appeal of it, when he meets a certain beautiful wedding planner. His life in Happily Inc. is temporary though, so starting something with her wouldn’t be right… but sometimes love takes over and changes your plans.
Pallas Saunders comes from a world of high expectations and wealth, her mother often pointing out that her new career path doesn’t measure up, but Pallas has stopped caring so much about making her mother happy. Running Weddings In A Box has been her saving grace, it has helped her to see that the plan her mother has had mapped out for her all these years is not a path she wants to follow. She loves helping people create their special days, but if things down start turning around, she may have to admit defeat, suck it up and take the position her mother has groomed her for all these years. And she doesn’t really have it in her to do that…
You Say It First is a touching read full of emotion, toe curling romance, and a slough of endearing characters that are certain to charm their way into your heart! From the first page this one pulled me in and kept me captivated, and up well past my bedtime… and I have to admit it was well worth the loss of zzz’s! It had everything a good romance novel should have; captivating story line, characters with undeniable chemistry, and lots of blush-worthy moments! Highly recommend this one, it’s a heartwarming read guaranteed to make you fall in love!
You Say it First can be summed up in five words: “Laughter before happily ever after.” That phrase seems to be working well because Ms. Mallery always comes out on top. From that stepping stone, she delivers tales of heartache, moments of passion and scatterings of hope. All with just the stroke of a pen and the soul of a dreamer. Humor is the beginning of life’s most precious moments and through all the anger and pain it showed Nick and Pallas the road to happiness.
