I fell passionately in love with my foster brother, Heath, before he left without a word and broke my naïve heart. I’ve reinvented myself, put the past totally behind me. I’m no longer Cat, the wild child running free on an island off the coast of Maine. I’m Caitlyn, with the perfect boyfriend, and the perfect life, all based on lies. But then brooding Heath appears out of nowhere, honorably … nowhere, honorably discharged from the Marines, the night I get engaged. He is determined to win me back, and I have to resist him. I have to, or all my secrets will be exposed.
But when one love allows me to breathe, and the other feels as essential to my life as air, how do I choose between them…

I read this a few years ago but just downloaded it again to reread. I love the Wuthering Heights parallel and still haven’t forgotten these characters.
Amazing is not listed above and should be!
Had enough emotional twists to keep me reading
You Make Me by Erin McCarthy is a passionate, heart-felt, romance about finding yourself and second chances. The story started off excellent and had me on an emotional roller coaster, torn between Heath and Ethan just as badly as Cat was. Even though I adored this romance, there were several parts in the second half I wasn’t okay with. …
It’s an emotionally touching distinct story.
Loved it!
Cat reinvents herself when she goes off to college. Once there she leads a charmed life. That is, until her past reappears in her life. Now she must choose which life she wants.
The characters in this book were semi-developed but I wish the author had fleshed them out more. Parts of this book seemed very rushed causing the book to feel choppy.

An amazing stories about love lost and found, second chances and bravery to follow one’s heart. I love the fact that all though it’s a fictional story, it’s has very realistic and relatable plot. I recommend it this book to all hopeless romantic readers like myself.
Couldn’t get into it. Didn’t finish
