Alec Sullivan has always believed he has it all. A billion-dollar private aviation business. A penthouse apartment in New York City. Beautiful women who know better than to expect him ever to fall in love. And great siblings for whom he’d do anything. But when Alec’s business partner passes away and leaves everything to a daughter Alec never knew about, in an instant everything in his life turns … turns upside down…all because of Cordelia.
Cordelia always thought she was perfectly happy with her life. She owns a garden store she loves, lives in a pretty little cottage in the same town as her adoptive parents, and figures there’s plenty of time to meet Mr. Right. But she never counted on becoming the surprise heir to a fortune…or on meeting a man like Alec Sullivan. A shockingly sexy billionaire who makes her heart race and melt all at the same time.
Neither Alec nor Cordelia plans on getting any closer than they have to. Only, how can either of them fight this kind of heat, this depth of desire? And when Cordelia needs Alec’s support, it’s pure instinct for him to be there for her. But when it’s her turn to help him confront his deepest pain, will Alec let her in? Or will he push her away, just as he’s pushed away everyone who’s loved him for the past thirty years…

I love the Sullivans series!
One of the best books I’ve read this summer. Alec and Cordelia are a wonderful example of loving people as they are and accepting them unconditionally. This book demonstrates that love does indeed conquer all. Such a great story of loving someone in spite of themselves and watching their heart turn towards you as they work through their fears. I absolutely loved this book!
The romance keeps me on my toes every time I read it
Another great Sullivan love story! I have followed them all and reading about the love this family has for each other and the love the fall into never gets old. Alec and Cordelia are a perfect example. They meet under the most stressful of circumstances. Alec could have been a total jerk and taken advantage of her, but instead he felt like he needed to protect her. Any story that has turmoil in the parental relationship will get tears from me every time!
The way these 2 were there for each other, even under the guise of basically being friends with benefits was absolutely the sweetest thing that I have read in a long time. This is another great story that is full of sadness, a little angst and a whole lot of love!!!
I never expected to find out that Alec Sullivan, the grumpy, irritable, dark, mysterious and sexy oldest Sullivan, would turn out to be such a romantic! Losing his best friend and business partner is a blow, then finding out Gordon left his half of the business to the daughter Alec never knew he had, what the hell? Cordelia Langley never knew her bio dad, so why would her leave her a fortune worth billions? She’s a simple woman, running a simple garden and nursery loving her life until it gets turned upside down.
Cordelia is a strong, beautiful woman who just might prove to Alec that he is more then capable of love, if he would just look deep into himself. Spending time in her garden is a happy place for both, he just needs to learn how to forgive and move forward. One concern, will he get over himself before it’s too late? Have a Kleenex avail unless you have a heart of stone, you will need it! This was a sexy, heartfelt story that I absolutely loved! Check it out today!
To find love
When Alex loses his business partner unexpectedly he never would have the he would find love. Cordelia knew she was adopted but didn’t know her real parents names. When Gordon died he left his half of the business to his daughter. When they meet it is a shock, and also a connection both weren’t expecting.
How do you adjust to becoming a billionaire overnight? Cordelia not only has to deal with that but also with finding out the identity of her birth father. Alec has lost his business partner and best friend. Then he must deal with the daughter his partner never told him about. She’s sweet, innocent and naive and he wants her. But she’s a forever kind of woman and he’s a one and done kinda guy. They resolve to be friends as they give onto their passion. Alec finally realizes he can have love and happily ever after with Cordelia’s quiet resolve and inner strength.
I loved this book! Both characters were charismatic, strong, and wonderfully vulnerable. The Sullivans gather round each other in celebration and times of need. The book is no exception. It was pure reading pleasure.
This story was absolutely fabulous! It might be one of my favorites out of the New York Sullivan’s. The guilt and pain that Alec had carried for many years due to his past was heartbreaking, but watching him overcome his issues had my heart bursting with joy. Cordelia was sent to Alec by an angel who knew that she was just what Alec needed to move past his pain.
Outstanding as always, never disappoints!!!
Delightful romance
Alex’s business partner dies and leaves his half of the business to his daughter who he gave up for adoption when her mother died. Alex is determined to never fall in love because of his own rocky family history. This is the story of their relationship as they work on their own problems with their past relationships.
Loved these characters & their connection.
I love all books from this author, they are always well written and draw you in with amazing characters. Sometimes it’s great to read a romance story with no strife, just romance and she nailed it!
I love Robin Carr her books are great.
Enjoyed, easy to read & pasted a bad weather day reading it.
Loved the story, how the simple things in life are always the best
Just love reading about the Sullivan family . So addictive
Knocked this one out of the park! Once again Bella Andre has a winner!
This book is sweet, and so full I’ve love and emotion. Even when Alec is being frustrating about his rift with his father, you can’t be really mad at him because his pain is so obvious.
The way he and Cordelia supported each other, the way she stood by Alec with such love and patience was heartwarming.
This writer has such a rare talent for being able to evoke such strong emotions from her readers. She does it consistently. I have read a number of books that could be labeled good, but it is rare to read a book that lingers long after you read the last word.
I voluntarily read and reviewed this Advanced Reader Copy.

Would you listen to You Do Something To Me (New York Sullivans #3) (The Sullivans Book 17) again? Why?
I would listen to this book again. Ms. Kaminsky does a great job at bringing the Sullivan family, as well as the extended family to life. She has the perfect tone of voice that lets you relax and concentrate on what she’s reading. I didn’t hear any type of blips that would interrupt that enjoyment. There are those that can’t read a book and what better way to enjoy Ms. Andre’s world but by having someone help you experience this family.
Who was your favorite character and why?
I think it’s a toss up between Cordelia and Alec. They both seem to need the other. We have two people with strong personalities. But the sense of family shines through and it’s hard not to care about the lives of this branch of the Sullivans.
Which character – as performed by Eva Kaminsky – was your favorite?
Cordelia edges out Alec by just a hair. Cordelia is a woman who is thrown out of her comfort zone when her world is turned upside down. Alec has a business that needs him but you see how hard it is for him not to have Cordelia in his life.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Having lost a parent a year ago, it would probably be the memorial service. I had no trouble picturing that scene play out. It also made me glad that our service was a lot less grand. This is something that the author is good at. The reader gets to feel as if they are a part of the Sullivan clan.
Any additional comments?
I’m trying to bring my flower garden back to life and Cordelia has me thinking about what I might try to invite some nature into my yard. This story had me looking forward to Spring so that I can get back out into the yard and see things start to grow. It would also be the perfect time to relisten to this story. It may also be a bad time because I may end up concentrating on the book so much that I sit down, forget about my work, and just listen.
Our author reminds the reader that you don’t need a lot of sex to have a really romantic story. Ms. Kaminsky reminds the reader that with the right narrator it’s ok to relax and concentrate as someone tells you a very romantic tale. She has such a pleasant voice that all outside noises just seem to disappear when all that’s left is the story she’s telling you. The only disappointment was when the end came. It’s also a realization that there’s not a book four. But what’s good is that I have plenty of other Sullivans to get to know and all of them are read by Ms. Kaminsky.
I voluntarily reviewed an Audiobook copy of this book.
Love the entire series and will probably read it again!
